Status Levels
There are five status levels within the guild.  You rise through the levels by merit, reputation, contribution to the guild, time in the guild, and your levels. Each level has its own privelages and bonuses*.  The attainment of new levels shall be awarded by the Grand Council based on information about your character.  There are no set time frames only a few minimum requirements listed below.  DO NOT PESTER THE LEADER ABOUT YOUR STATUS LEVEL!

*Weapon skills count as a group since they are the defenders and there are just branches for those guilds.  (Ex: Large blade and small blade over 50 would not count as 2 masters, but only 1.)

(1)*Participation within specialty guilds can vary.  There is no set time frame or quantity needed.  The participation will depend on your actions.  Active Duty in the guard guilds means that you take an active role in protecting other members of the guild as well as when the Leader or a Duke organizes a warparty, raid, or defense against invading hordes.  This does not mean you must drop everything to run halfway across the world to assisst someone, but that you help out a little more then normal with weakerer members, new members, hunts, and mainly assist with protecting members and lending a hand.  ~*~Guard guilds may only count towards the 2 week req military service required for the rank of Duke.~*~

(2)*Besides defending the guild, the fighting guilds shall also be required to organize and participate in hunts to supply the guild treasury.  For the fighting guilds to count as participation I am going to set a min number of hunts since defending is a tricky situation.  The two week military service required for Duke status will require that the guildmate who wishes to attain the rank, to organize at least 3 hunts a week (total of 6) for the 2 weeks with a min of 4 participants (not including yourself).  The hunts will have no set time min but will be watched for effort on the part of the Knight organizing and running the hunt.  All drops obtained during the hunt should be handed into the treasury.  The req for 4 participants is to test your leadership skills and how you work within the guild.  Duke is the highest level attained and is granted a seat on the Grand Council, thus they must be respected and trusted by their fellow guildmates.

(3)*Selecting of items for awards shall be based on the availability of items in the guild treasury.  A member may choose to add gold to their award to purchase a more valuable item from the guild if one is avilable.  If the guild has only 1 item in stock then that shall not be sold.  The guild will retain at least 1 item of each type in the treasury for special purposes.

(4)*The guild will sell magic items to members who do not wish to wait upon status levels and awarding of items, but all transactions will be done through the guild master and if the guild has the items to spare.  Awarding members get first priority.

(5)**When trading out one weapon for another to train with, the person must trade in an equal or better + level for that which they wish to train with. (ex: to get a +3 item you must turn in a +3 or +4, to get a +4 item you must turn in a +4 or +5.)  To prevent people from taking advantage of this generosity, the guild will only trade out weapons if there are extras in the treasury.  Also when you trade out a weapon, all trades must go through the guild master because he shall keep track of what is traded out.  To trade for another item you must trade back in the last item you trade out for.
Example:  Katie trades a +4 light ax for a +4 battle ax.  Once she has completed training with that weapon she wants to train with a +4 war ax.  She must then return the +4 battle ax to trade for the +4 war ax.  This way can only trade for another weapon if you still have retained the first weapon.  (This is to prevent people from trading and then just selling the weapons.)  There is 1 exception though, if you lose the weapon you may still trade for another weapon, but you must trade in a weapon of higher value then.  Example: Katie loses the +4 battle ax, then she must turn in a weapon that is worth more then a +4 battle ax to be allowed to trade for another weapon.
