War Parties | |||||||

These are the new rules that apply to the army and any raiding or war parties. The disgrace and confusion of the battle at the Asarti Castle on 2/2/04 was poor. We out numbered the enemy 3:1 the first wave and 4:1 the third wave and we were still massacered without even taking one of them with us. This reflects very poorly on the might of Tyr. Therefore these rules shall be enforced during any times of war or any war parties without exception. It will be just as a military, if you get out of line or disobey your commanding officer that will be considered an act of insubordination and punishment will be swift. The only way we shall win these battles if we have precision, unity, and strength. 1.) The highest ranking member is in charge no questions asked. If they tell you to run into the enemy and sacrifice your life you will do that with out even blinking. We must have unwavering obedience in this for our strategies to work. Until you can prove that you are a master strategist then you must obey. In these kinds of battles the unit comes first. Even if half our numbers die the spoils go to the winner, so if we all run to protect ourselves we shall all die. Everyone must be willing to lay down their life for the good of the unit. As long as even 1 of us are still standing in the end then we have won and we won't loose anything. 2.) Only take equipment that you are willing to accept as a loss since most of these battles will probably not go in our favor and items will be lost. 3.) You must stick with the group unless your commander tells you otherwise. If you leave the group without your commanders permission then that is considered mutiny, you will be removed from any further hunts (guild or war) and will be demoted 1 rank effective immediately. By agreeing to join the war party you pledge your soul to the commander. We will never force anyone to join war parties so you have a choice. During all out wars things may differ. 4.) If there is a possibility that you will be called away for whatever reason notify your commander immediately. I am not picking on anyone but part of our downfall the second time when 4 of us were hold up in a room, Docs stepped out to shoot at Omega, and Others got in his way of reentering the room thus causing Docs death, and weakening the group, which ultimately lead to our deaths on the second wave. 5.) Here are the basic strategies in case the highest ranking officer does not know these during a war party or if the commander is killed. If the commander is killed the leadership of the unit falls to the next highest rank. These orders will be laid down before the attack. These strategies will go from foremost and on down in order they should be used. a.) If there is a mage that is healing the enemy concentrate on taking out the mage first. We will never win if they are able to heal their warrios. If the battle is near a spawn point or within range of one (they can return in time) and the mage is no criminal concentrate on the criminals first, since they will spawn farther away and it will take their numbers down faster. If a mage is not healing and only attacking they will be considered a warrior. b.) Once the healing mages have been dealt with everyone must concentrate on the same target. 6 people hitting 1 target will kill them a lot faster then 1 on 1. The key to victory is to lower their numbers faster then they lower ours. c.) Our archers or mages try to heal as quickly as you can anyone you see that is in trouble. If someone needs healing check the commands at the bottom for quick reference duing a battle. d.) When fighting in close quaters like in Astari castle, everyone needs to stick together and hold up in a room. Only once the enemy is weakened do we charge out and only at the commanders say. The first wave of the battle at Astari was lost because everyone split up. We had 3 of their bodies in 1 room and knew exactly where they would be coming to. Yet noone listened to me to hold up and block that room. Thus me and Roz were killed by the 2 DtA members that were trying to get their bodies. If everyone (all 7 people) were in that room we would have won against the 2 DtA members. =( The exact strategy of splitting units between rooms and buildings if used will be set down before the battle and once again you must listen to your commander without question. e.) When the enemy is usually down to 2 left and if we have more then 4 people there is no reason we should not be able to kill them. Again check the commands below for quick reference during battle. During the third and final wave when McWind and Cane attacked Astari, the 2 of them managed to kill more then 6 people right off the bat. Cane was down to 1 shot and I was the only one chasing him because everyone else was hold up in the room for some reason and would not chase him down. Holding up in the room is good to a point but letting them come in and pick people off 1 at a time when we outnumbered them 5:1 will never work. We must chase them down once they are half way dead and finish the job. Most of this is directed towards the B guild since they were the only ones left with me at that point. Sadly though McWind finished me before I could finish Cane. I expect everyone to read and acknowledge these rules. You will not be allowed to join a war party until you have and once you say you have read them the rules will be enforced if you do not follow them. These quick commands are to be used only during battles. All you have to do is type the 1 letter and everyone should know what it means. That is why you are required to memorize this list. Also any members not involved in a battle please keep the guild chat clear so we can have clear communication between units and people in the battle. |
