Britney Jean Spears, was born on December 2, 1981 in Kentwood, Louisiana to parents Jaimie and Lynn Spears.  Her parents knew she was born to be a singer, when at her kindergarten graduation, she sang a rendition of "Who's Child Is This."  Aside from singing to her classmates, young Britney also liked to sing the Madonna hits of the day into her hairbrush.  At age 11, Britney became a "Mousketeer" on Disney's "Mickey Mouse Club."  Other mousketeers included Justin Timberlake and JC of *NSYNC, and Keri Russell (star of the WB show Felicity).  At age 15, Britney signed a record deal with Jive Records, and was now ready to record her first album.  Then at age 16, Britney's first album "...Baby One More Time," became number one on the Billboard charts.  As if that were not enough, her first album has gone on to sell more than 13 million copies world-wide.  Currenty, Britney has recorded her second hit album, "Oops...I Did It Again," and has even co-authored a book with her mother entitled Heart to Heart.  Britney also has her own charity organization, "The Britney Spears Foundation," which enables underpriviledged children the opportunity to attend a performing arts camp in Massachusetts.  Through all of this, Britney continues to amaze us, and strive for success.
