This month the Ka’sra Times interviews the Dynamic Duo – the Terrific Two – the first girl, verena{DE}~R~ and the second girl, tendereyes{DE-1}~R~ of the Palace of Tyros. These are the sisters that have undying patience and love for the Palace and show devotion to their work with everything they do. From training the newest white silk to defending a fellow sister, these girls do it all. Read this tell-all interview to get a glimpse into the busy lives of these two priceless treasures in the Palace.
KasraTimes: What do you girls value most about your duties?
tender: our duties are many, as second girl tender has lots of responsibilities. for tender, what she values most is being able to do this for her Master. to help train the slaves of the Palace, to ensure that it is a wonderful home for Frees and slaves alike. a girl values all her duties, as all of them are just as important. they are duties that she has been commanded to fulfill by her Master. it's a privilege for tender to be second girl, to play a part in the growth and training of her home.
rena: seeing that everything is done in an orderly fashion.. that each girl gets the attention she needs to build confidence and pride... that fulfills my Masters desires for the Palace to have well trained kajira with a good background in true gor.. and know the difference between online roleplay and what real gorean ideals are..
KT: What is the one thing you would change about your duties?
tender: that's an easy one, tender would change nothing as her duties are her Master's law. she is slave, he is Master, and it’s not her place to change what he requires of tender duties. *smiles*
rena: having more free time to serve, sometimes training takes the front stage, and there are times verena just wants to serve.. and be that lil kajira she came to Gor to be..
KT: Both of you put tireless efforts into the Palace; it’s M.members, and the general daily activities to ensure everything runs somewhat smoothly. Is the effort worth the reward?
tender: *emerald eyes light up as she smiles* the reward is well worth the effort. to be able to gaze up into her Masters eyes and see that smile upon his lips and to hear him say that he's proud of us. *smiles and nods* yes, just that in itself makes it all worthwhile. and an added bonus is forming bonds with her sisters as we work through the training process. some days is more tiring than others, but when a girl has the love of her Master and the love of her sisters, it gives her the motivation and desire to give all that she has to the One that owns her, her F/family and her home.
rena: oh yes .. to see a girl come in the Palace as new to Gor or new to the Palace then blossom into a lovely kajira makes it all worth it... each girl will struggle with something different. but each one brings that special delight and special way of expressing herself.. that is truly hers..
KT: Do you feel that you get enough respect from both Free and slaves in your position?
tender: tender is a slave, respect is not something that tender expects from the Free, cause she knows her place as a slave. but tender's Master respects her, and believes in tender’s abilities; otherwise she would not be a part of his training cadre. she is second girl of Tyros because it is his wish, to tender that speaks volumes. for the slaves it is different, respect is expected, cause we have worked hard for these positions. we do far more than most will ever realize. we are hard trainers because we wish the best for our home and for the Free that resides in Tyros. so yes, for the most part tender feels that she gets enough respect from the slaves. and those that don't show that respect, well, they are put in their place.
rena: sometimes it gets difficult to serve your Master and retain your grace under fire... but she tries very hard to show Him respect and honor her kolar, in both the Palace and in training with the slaves. Respect is earned, and sometimes each of us falls short of the mark... but again there is always tomorrow.. and you just dust yourself off and try again...
KT: Here at the Times, we imagine your jobs to be highly stressful; what do you like to do to relax?
tender: *giggles* relax? what is that? tender doesn't think that she knows the meaning of that word. *eyes reflecting a playful glow as she winks* to relax, tender loves to cuddle in her Masters lap. to let go of the responsibilities for a little bit and just be his slave. Though knowing tender's Master is a very busy man, she has other ways that she enjoys to relax. by getting silly and playing with her sisters, or taking a walk through the gardens or along the beach. sitting on the beach, watching the waves of the Thassa crashing against the shore. *smiles* that is tender's sanctuary.
rena: paint shop pro.. renas coloring book.. she retreats there when things get crazy.. is why her wardrobe is so extensive and ever changing... giggles
KT: What do you feel the Cadre lacks right now that may improve its general efficiencies and its effectiveness in the Palace?
tender: more trainers, without a doubt. The weight of the training is on rena's and tender's shoulders. And drifter takes care of the dance training. But rena and tender have lots of responsibilities other than training. we stretch ourselves to accomplish all that we need to. so more trainers will definitely help things run more efficiently. that is also something that rena and tender are working on *smiles* we hope to be adding more trainers to the cadre soon.
rena: teryl and indera in red silks... so they can join their sisters tender, drifter, and verena as trainers... giggles..
KT: What are your favorite three things about the Palace?
tender: *giggles again* ummmmm, my Master, my Master, my Master. *makes a silly face and grins impishly* tender would have to say....*giggles* it's hard to narrow things down. she loves everything about her home. Master Ubar has provided us all with a very beautiful homestone. tender counts herself lucky to serve the Free of her home. she is indeed fortunate to kneel at her Master's feet and abide by his laws and wishes.
rena: my Master, my Master, my Master.... giggles... then strikes a serious pose.. yes my Master, is the number one favorite thing, but sisters and sisterhood are her second and third things....
KT: Membership is down in the Palace at the moment. Although this is a touchy subject, can you make any suggestions as to what would help the falling number of Free?
tender: Tyros as an hororable and fair Ubar, sexy slaves to serve them, warm furs to sleep in. the slaves out number the Free, they can have there choice of the cream of the crop. and in tender's eyes, all the girls are the cream of the crop. we have some of the best girls on Gor *purrrrrrrs* serves so hot, guaranteed to make the Master's drool. the Free would also be able to help Tyros rebuild to become a part of the history of the Palace. there is lots of opportunities to do things within their castes. there is something for everyone, if they only give Tyros a chance. tender has served Master Ubars brothers that were a part of Tyros before him. she is honored to still be in the Palace, to continue to try to help Tyros become what they saw in their visions so long ago. Tyros has heart, Tyros has passion, Tyros has honor. what more could the Free ask for? Tyros is for the Free that truly believe in Gor and all that it represents. It's not a game, it's not solely about furring. it's about proving themselves, bringing honor to their castes. it's about giving their commitment, giving their word and honoring it above all else.
rena: it is not a slaves place to involve herself in the business of the free, but she would remind sisters that when any Free are in the room to keep the room rolling do not let dead air take over.. be fun loving, teasing and tempting... keep things happy and light... roleplay with the Free on every opportunity... do not turn tail and ask to leave because you think you have done something wrong.. if the roleplay is fouled and punishment is occuring take it with grace.. and dignity and keep yourself centered.
KT: The word sisterhood is a word that is not taken lightly in the Palace. Why is creating a sisterhood among all the slaves important in your opinion?
tender: *smiles gently, repeating the word* sisterhood. *orbs of emerald fall to the palm of her hand, silently counting the scars that are there* we are slaves, sisterhood is the ties that bind us together. and in tender's eyes, true sisterhood is a beautiful thing. it goes beyond just chain sisters, it affects each and every slave, it has no prejudice of ko'lar, be it DE, WPT, JDE...it makes no difference. we are kajira, we are slave girls. we are made sisters not by blood but by heart. tender knows that she lives to serve her Master. though in her eyes she would not be completely fulfilled without her sisters. sisters give tender strength, give her happiness. tender's true sisters, rejoice in her happiness and shed tears with her when she is sad. it's them that she turns to when she needs reassurance, guidance. true sisterhood, is not afraid to tell you point blank when you are wrong. they don't sugar coat, they don't always tell you what you want to hear. they tell you what you need to hear, words never meant to hurt but to help, even if they are spoken a little harshly. sisterhood is a circle that has no beginning nor an end, it's ever spinning, pulling in new sisters as they come in. once a sister always a sister. with a united sisterhood the Palace would be stronger, for we are the front lines so to speak. when a Free comes in the slaves are one of the first things to be seen. when the slaves are strong and bonded together, it shows it radiates in all that we do, and it reflects upon the all of our Masters/Mistresses and our homestone. that's why it is so important to tender. and it saddens her when she sees a girl that has no interest in her sisters. how lonely the girl will find her life if she does not surrender to the bonds of sisterhood. *turns her palm, letting you see the scars. there are not many about 6 scars* only one that tender has spoken the vows of trues to is still here. *shakes her head a little sadly* only verena. if everyone believed in sisterhood to the depths that tender does. every girl in the palace would be trues to each other. perhaps one day that will happen, perhaps one day all sisters will unite together in sisterhood. well, tender can dream, can't she? *smiles a little and blushes knowing she was long winded on this question*
rena: slaves own nothing, many times all they have is the friendships they can make with their sisters.. to build a strong alliance and bolster loyality to the Palace is what makes it all the more fun. every girl should help each other in times of need that does not mean.. doing the tough questions on assignments for them, but giving them insight on where to find the answers.. remember it is roleplay so in the palace we are in character... that is where the biggest problems occur in bleed over from roleplay to RT... everyone must take a deep breath and understand roleplay is roleplay.. it is not RT.. no one has a brand on their thigh, or has to feel the touch of the irons in real life... it happens in roleplay.. so if a girl is caged in rp... it does not mean the person behind verenas keyboard hates her.. it means verena is doing the job her character has been ordered to do.
KT: What can each slave do to create a better atmosphere for her fellow slaves and Free?
tender: if every girl truly does as they are taught. if they showing NOTHING but exquisite beauty and absolute obedience, that in itself would improve the atmosphere a thousand times over. there would be no bickering, no pity me displays, no whining for whatever they feel they lack, no drama queen tactics. there would simply be gorgeous slaves, free to show off their happiness, their love for their Master or Mistress, their sexuality, their raging fires, their love for their home. they would bring nothing but honor to their Owner's ko'lar. the Palace would be an awesome place to live, and the Free could bask in the glowing smiles of the slaves.
rena: Be yourself... do not try to mimic a sister or be just like this one or that one.. what makes slaves interesting to the Free and to other sisters is when they are themselves and enjoy themselves being lil bit impish and playful.. and sensuous.. competition is good until it escalates into a problem. Gor sometimes for a slave is so filled with rules they get lost trying to decide what to say here and what to say there.. and if one makes a mistake.. just keep to the roleplay theory.. and make your appropriate apology and move on.. turn the page..
KT: Word has it that chores are not much fun at all. Any tips on how to make chores more fun and exciting?
tender: *giggles softly* chores can be fun it all depends on your outlook on them. chores are another way to serve our Free, to keep the Palace always pleasing in their eyes. and if we truly get pleasure from pleasing them, then that in itself is enough to make doing chores more enjoyable. it's a great way to tease Master's as well, to try and catch someone's eye. add your sexuality to a chore as you would to a serve. believe tender, it will get you noticed. or try doing chores with a group of sisters, be it cooking a meal, cleaning the floors of the Great Hall or anything else. play with each other as the chore is getting done.
rena: try someting different .. work up a theme.. look around.. research weaving or another craft and then go to work adapting it to a gorean time frame... have fun add in NPC's... tease and tantalize.. try out new moves.. have a good time .. chores are for learning as much as they are required by slaves as work to be done...
KT: Is there anything you would like to share about yourselves that our readers might find insightful or inspiring?
tender: tender has been a part of this palace for sixteen years, has been in three ko'lars, well four counting the {WPT}, during her time here. she often hears sisters speak of their fires diminishing, but if you are true slave. if the thought of not kneeling at a Master's feet makes your heartache. if you'd rather die then never serve again. if you are a true kajira down to your heart and soul. *smiles tenderly* the fires can never fade. but if still you feel that the flame has been blown out. look within yourself, something has changed. perhaps you've forgotten your place, forgotten what it means to be slave, to put the happiness of your Master or Mistress above all else. it's something within you and not within your Owner that is different, and it's your duty to make yourself the girl that you were molded to be, that you were trained to be. being a kajira, a true kajira it's not something that can be taught. it's either who you are or it's not.
rena: In her Palace Scrap Book are many memories.. she hopes that each of her sisters keep a diary of the events they get to enjoy.. it makes it so much more fun when you can look back over them...
KT: A quote or personal motto?
