In the Crystalline Confederacy, a new variation of Jugging was created, and it is called "Bloodbowl."  Here is how it is played:

1)  Set 2 jugging style goal posts 50 paces apart.

2)  Place the dog skull in the middle between the posts.

3)  The available playing area and participants approximate boarders, except there is only about 10 feet behind each goal post allowed as 'in play'.

4)  Both teams start at their goal posts.

5)  To score, one must place the dog skull on the opponent's goal post with two hands.

6)  A death lasts for 10 seconds, and lives are unlimited.

7)  Wounds do not heal.

8)  After a goal, the scorers go to the half waypoint, and the scored keep the dog skull and start at their goal post.

9)  Everyone can grab dog skull.

10)  Goals must be made with both hands.  Exception:  if you only have one arm, due to wounds, you can score with one hand.

11)  The game is played to whatever the players predetermine as the amount of goals to win: typically 10 goals.

12)  The dog skull may be handed off or passed (or kicked) within 10 feet (lightly underhand-tossed) either directly right or left or behind (NEVER   FORWARD).

13)  The dog skull may be stripped by a single-handed swipe.

14)  Body-to-body contact is not allowed, but if it happens, a hold is called and everyone must step back 10 feet from the person holding the skull.

15)  IF there is a violation of the rules, the dog-skull gets dropped where the violation occurred, and all players go back to their goal posts. Then  lay-on is called and play resumes.
