Links and Kudos

Without encouragement from my friends, my garden would not be here. You will find links to their sites, as well as links to some of my favorite places to visit. Perhaps some will become your favorites too.

The first web site I encountered when I got on-line was Sousonne's "Forest of Light". Since the very beginning,Sousonne has encouraged me, helped me unravel the mysteries of "The Net",and been there whenever I was feeling low. I'll never be able to thank you enough Sousonne.

Visit the "Forest of Light" by clicking on the icon to the right,
and have an adventure in the beauty and tranquility that
Sousonne has created. There is a world of interesting things
to learn about and discover in the "Forest".

Sousonne has been working hard on a new addition to her site. She has created a Shoppe with the most wonderful items in it.

Please click on the banner to visit Sousonne's Shoppe and discover the treasures she has found for us. They truly are special and beautiful, and you will be hard pressed to choose amongst them.

A very important "thankyou" goes to the folks at Knowledge Development Centres Inc./CCS.
Bob.... for the articles in our local paper that made me believe that I could actually run a computer. Brian and Doug ......the wizards who put together my system and who answer all my silly questions with out laughing at me. Ann......always helpful and cheerful at the front desk. Karen......a great teacher....what can I say.....I've got a web site!!!

Here's a wonderful place to go for all sorts of things, but especially for the Gif Construction Set, which allows you to create your own things for your site. The folks at Alchemy Mindworks have a wicked sense of humor. Their protective dragon is not to be taken lightly. In the event that I have inadvertently used a Gif belonging to Alchemy Mindworks that came from a "free site", I hope the dragon will not blast my site into oblivion, but alert me so I can label it properly.

The very best place to go for e-cards is Angel-winks Post Card Shoppe.
Angel has cards for everyone and every occasion and they are beautiful.
Invariably, I return to this site for just the right message to send
to someone special.

The instructions for choosing a picture and personalizing the cards are easy to follow.

One of the things that I am most thankful for, is that people are
so generous about sharing their creations with other net people.Gifs,
jpegs and icons are the interest points and travel tools on web pages
and I have found many of mine at the following sites.

bellsnwhistles.com

Sousonne made me the "home","next" and "back" buttons from a picture I drew
using my Paint program, as well as designing my page Titles. She also
found flowers and backgrounds for me during her travels on the Net

Here's an icon to click on if you have a web site that you would like to have show up on the search engines. It is a free service and all you have to do is fill out the form provided and submit it.

I've recently installed some music boxes on some of the pages. The following are sites that Sousonne sent me and are really nice.

Don Gilman has some lovely little tunes at Night Angel Midi Files

A very special song by Franz Lehar came from an extensive midi site that has just about anything you can imagine. I have used it in my story about Rennie. You can get to this music site by clicking on The Classical Archives

A new net friend has created some lovely backgrounds and I will be using them on my new lace pages. Gina's site is a pleasure to visit. Follow the link to enjoy her creations.

I've started trying to do some backgrounds of my own with varying degrees of success, but I have found a very good place to go for tutorials. Angela has lists of tutorials and links. They are relatively easy to follow and have just about anything that you want to learn to do.

Please take a moment and step into My Guest Room to leave a message in the book or by e-mail. I shall reply to your comments, and look forward to visiting your site in return.
