New Moon
From new moon to 4 days after. The new moon is for starting new ventures, new beginnings. Also love good time for Romance, new jobs and health.
Waxing Moon Magick
This cycle is about 1 week to 2 weeks after the new moon. This is a time for constructive workings in Magick. Things like friendship, love, health, and luck . Etc..
Full Moon
About fourteen to eighteen days after the new moon. Prime time for rituals for prophecy, protection, divination., love,, money and dreams. ( Also see Full Moon ritual in Index)
Waning Moon: About 4 to 11 days after the Full Moon. The waning moon is used for banishing Magick,
Dark Moon Magick: About 11 to 14 days after the full moon. The dark moon is a time Binding spells, for exploring our darkest recesses angers and passions.


A major Moon phase can happen twice within a calendar month for the simple reason that our calendar no longer pays any attention to Moon phases (even though the word "month" derives from "Moon"). The Second Moon within the "month" is referred to the Blue Moon .




Esbats are rites held for the purpose of communing with the Moon's energies and are regarded as the time for most Magick workings.
Sabbats, which are fire or sun festivals, Most Sabbat festivals are held in order to celebrate the changing of the seasons, the gathering of the harvest, etc
Esbats: dedicated to the Moon in her various phases. These are considered the 'working' celebrations, the time in which to attract, banish, invoke protection, or to perform any other Magick workings.. The Esbats are held in honor of the Goddess.
The Lunar Year contains 13 Full Moons. These have all been called by various names in the past but the ones that seem to have become the most

July :The time for, divination, and meditation This month is the time to start preparing for the colder and darker months ahead.
August:The time for harvesting, gathering, and appreciating.
SeptemberThe time for organizing and straightening up physical, mental, emotional, and spiritual clutter.
OctoberThe time for inner cleansing. The beginning of our New Year Oct31 Samhain.
November:The month of transformation. It is time to prepare for the coming winter and a time to strengthen communication with the Goddess and Gods
