Heater Diverter Valve Relocation
If you screw something up, it's not my fault!!
First of all, this is not a hard thing to do, but it definately does clear up a lot of space on the engine yet keeps the whole diverter valve idea.

Actually, this is a free modification to do.  You can actually do this without even going to a store to buy anything.  The only thing that you have to remember is to be carefull.
Step #1

The first step to this whole project is to first drain all the coolant from the radiator.  I used a 5 gallon bucket and this pretty much covered the whole thing.  Just wash the bucket out well before doing this, and you can reuse the coolant.  If it needs replacing anyway, go ahead and do that at the same time.
Step #2

After draining the coolant, you can now start disconnecting all the hoses from the diverter valve.  Remember that coolant will spill everywhere when you take the hoses off.  Once you have the hoses off, you must then losen the bottom of the hose that is all curvy and bent.  This one should go down to a metal pipe that runs along the frame and goes back behind the engine.  You will need to give that about a 90 degree turn counter-clockwise.
Step #3

After you have got the hoses disconnected, and the one hose turned, you can now begin to thread the hoses through the AC junk.  If you do not have this AC stuff, you will probably be in a sticky situation since that is what keeps the valve over there.  But you never know what can turn out.

Be sure to remember which hoses went to which locations on the diverter valve.  You could possibly get in trouble if you put hoses in the wrong places.
Step #4

The final step for this project is to put the hoses back in their right places and tighten all the connections up.
BE SURE TO DOUBLE CHECK THE HOSE CLAMPS!!

I had a little accident when I left one lose.  Lets just say things went very wrong.

After getting all your connections good and done, you can then refill the coolant and start it up.  Make sure there arn't any leaks and your good to go.

Hope this wasn't too much trouble for ya.
