I'll admit I had a hard time
Seussin' Natural Election
So I left it in the hand of my Muse
This was done under his direction
John's trying to predict a wormhole
He counts backward (in Spanish) to one
Nothing!! Nothing happens, he turns to go
As he leaves he is stopped by Ms Sun
Now she wants to talk, he wants to listen
There is so much that she needs to say
As they turn to leave, a wormhole appears
They won't get to that talk right away
He did it!! Predicted a wormhole!!
Even Scorp in his cell had a smile
Maybe now, he and Aeryn can talk
If they could just be alone for a while
The crew's takin' turns being Captain
And it's Rygel's turn to be in charge
When something crashes into Moya
So big...it blocks out the stars
Poor Moya, it seemed she was burning
From whatever caused the attack
And when granny started shouting, "FLORA!"
I actually thought Zhaan had come back
Well!! She's a plant!! Now here's a plant...
But this one is up to no good
We know Zhaan would NEVER hurt Moya
No matter what, I don't think that she could
Now Sikozu, she freaks me out!
You think she's in love with that cadaver??
If she's really not one of the 'good guys',
Well then, I say, let him have her!!
Ok, back to the plant, the guys have a plan,
(And you know how all their plans go)
They fly out in D'Argos ship and shoot it
While Sikozu and granny both shout, "NO!!"
Seems shootin' it is a real bad idea
It made it go deeper into Moya's skin
So it was not only eating her outside...
It was now eating her from within!!
Oh, and Aeryn tells Chiana her secret,
She's not sure who fathered the kid
I didn't think that she'd keep it quiet,
I thought she'd blab...and she did
That's ok, John needed to hear it
And I think that Chi did the right thing
But knowin' it could be any number of guys,
Geez, man, that had to sting.
Ok, back to the plant, it seems Scorpy
Is repelling to plant-life as well
Or at least the stuff in his coolant rods is
So a brand new plan starts to gel
A good plan? Nah, I wouldn't say that
Seems like everything they do is in vain
Cause just when it seemed that it may work out...
BOOM!!! The whole thing goes down the drain
But they don't give up so easy
And they keep pluggin' away til it's gone
Now everyone can get back to normal
Pick up their lives and move on
But can John's life ever be 'normal',
Knowing the baby may not be his child?
That she could have been pregnant for seven cycles,
Now isn't THAT just frellin' wild??
I re-wound and re-watched several times,
The one scene that tore me apart
Near the end, when John said to Aeryn,
"I would put my life in your hands...but not my heart."
So I guess we'll just have to wait
To find out how this thing flies
And I hope when that baby is born...
That it looks at us through beautiful blue eyes!!!
Oh, I almost forgot Moya's new Captain,
Ka D'Argo!! What a marvelous pick!!
