Yesterday was what I would define as a 'boring day'. As boring as it could get. Well, no...let me take that back. I suppose it could have been more boring if the TV didn't work, but that's beyond the point. My mom was suposed to wake me up at 8:45 to get ready for church that morning, but I woke myself up to the sound of her and Martie yelling at the television. Once I pulled myself out of bed, discovered that we had missed church, and was about to storm into the living room yelling at the top of my lungs because it was the third time this month we missed mass, I discovered that Nascar was on TV and I was silenced by the the two of them and told to sit down and watch the race. During commercials, Martie ran outside and flipped a few burgers on the grill before returning to his position on the sofa, beer can in one hand and remote control in the other. As soon as my mom washed the dishes, she left and went make a bonfire outside, and since I was cold already as it was and I had no desire whatsoever to go outside and freeze even more, I stayed inside and had to watch 290 more laps or so. Martie retreated to the computer where he got into a Yahoo chatroom and began talking on the mic to fellow Nascar fans...conversations included the names such as 'Earnhardt Jr.' and 'Gordon' and 'Johnson' and 'Sadler'...all of which I suppose are racers. After watching an entire afternoon of little cars go in repetitive circles, I began to keep my eye out for the M&M car, which I started to favor. I think the number was 38 or whatever, I can't remember, damn memory. After we ate, Mom fell asleep on the couch and Martie went take a nap in the bedroom, so I snuck online and created a new layout and did some content crap, then at 5 Martie woke up and turned on the TV to watch a basketball game. More yelling and rooting for his favorite player. I was told to get offline, which I did after several complaints, and I went to my room for an hour or so, listening to music and staring out the window. When I finally came out, the game was over and I had the TV, finally. So I watched Twister. What fun, oh my. Martie's parents came over and I was told to take the movie off so that they could play some Christian music on the stereo. I swear, if I have to hear any more 'Praise God, Alleluia, Shout to the Lord, God is Good' tunes, I will vomit. Not that I oppose God or anything, it's just we listened to that damn cassette for 2 hours. I'm not joking. *sigh* Then Martie got back on the computer and I must have watched static on the TV for about an hour before going to bed. Good lord, help me.
