Students and parents in Urbandale and throughout the Des Moines metro area are invited to join Urbandale Academic Boosters (UAB) and hear about some exciting learning opportunities offered throughout the year by the OppTAG program at IowaStateUniversity. Maura Flaschner is Assistant Director for the Office of Admissions at IowaStateUniversity, and Director of PreCollegiate Programs for Talented and Gifted. Maura will describe the OppTAG programs available to high academic ability students from elementary, middle, and high schools around Iowa. The meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, December 11th (postponed to January 8, 2008)in the Urbandale Middle School Media Center and is free.
