I was fortunate enough to spend a month in Sudan and what an experience it turned out to be.I'm sure everyone had many stories to tell.
My experience was when I met some girls at the museum who turned out to be a Generals daughters who invited me to his army camp just outside of Khartoum. I went there by taxi and got a big fright when we were driving as what seemed in the middle of the desert and a soldier jumped out of the darkness in front of the car with his gun drawn. We were led to the camp where I eventually spent a very nice evening with the Generals family. |
