'My Engagment Day'

This is an imaginary story about a poor guy in his engagement day; God helps all those poor men when they are facing that day . . .

I said: hi

She was shy

Her eyes were looking to the ground

Searching for something that will never be found

Her mother watched me, and her sisters too

While her father and brother were like a super glue

They were looking at me like a criminal behind bars

I haven't been cheating or steeling cars

Her father's eyes were saying: escape for your life

Hey man, cool down, this woman is gonna' be my wife

Her mother was like sharpening a knife

Hey lady, cool down, this daughter of yours will be my wife

My face was covered with sweat

The most difficult time I have ever met

My hair was almost turning gray

Was this suppose to happen in my engagement day

Well I had nothing to say but bye

Next time I wish if I can say more than "hi"
