The formation of the UAN in the year 1992, brought about a new era and age for the Harponian people- one of unified cooperation and galactic togetherness. The United Amalgamation of Nations was an expantion of the Harponian planetary society- the United Nations. When colonization of other planets started, this organization expanded to those planets also. When Initial Communications was established, the United Amalgamation of Nations was formed with each planet being its own separate nation, but operating under a united set of amalgamated rules. Since its establishent, the United Amalgamation of Nations has expanded to one planetary solar system. Admission to the UAN requires the joining system or planet to have faster than light technology.
The UAN does not openly make its self known to other cultures because of cultural contamination. The UAN does not wish for its rules and customs to be imposed on non-members and other cultures before light-speed technologies because it might affect their development economically and socially.
Established by the Harponian people, the UAN does not exclusively make or decide on rules and regulations that must be followed by all its members. Representatives from each world or solar system convene and decided on policies that are fair and lawful to all parties associated. |
