| Tal goreans and welcome. This page is made to better educate goreans as to what some weapons, shields, helms, and other equipment will look like. The items used in your homestone may vary with size, shape, and markings. These are simply examples. |
| --Daggers and Swords-- |

| Celtic style gladius. |
| Roman style gladius, most common on Gor. |
| Trojan war sword. The type used by Laras guards. |
| Long Sword. |

| Broad Sword. |
| A highly detailes long sword. Something like this blade would b used by an Ubar, First Sword, or other highly skilled warrior. |
| --Battle Axes-- |
| This ax is similer in design to the one used by Argus. Though the one he uses has a broader head and a longer spike. The "hook" can be used for triping an opponent or pulling his shield away from him before attacking with the spike. |
| An ax like this is designed for speed. The cut out sections allow for less weight yet retains its strength. Also for style. |
| This ax is simply a cleaver. With its broad heads, in the hands of a skilled warrior, it can be used as a small shield when facing ranged weapons. |

| --Helms-- |
| This commonly found round shield is the standard issue of Laras guards. The deadly spike in the center adds to the effectiveness of it. This is the type used by Ubar Argus in combat. |
| This is a common large shield. semi-fancy in design, it would normally be found in use by well traied warriors or elete units. |

| A greek corinthian helm. This is possibly the most common helm found on gor. It offers great protection and does not impare vision. |
| A helm typical of torvaldland. Influenced by the vikings of earth this helm is called an "ocular" helm. The "oculars" being the goggle like section that protects eyes and cheeks. |
| This Helm is a typical heavy helm. Best protecion one can have. But it does limit hearing and vision to a point. |
| --Ranged weapons-- |
| Get to know this weapon well. This is a good example of the hand crossbow used by the lethal Balck Caste. Small, fast, and easy to reload quickly in the right hands. Dont let its size fool you, the tention on the bow is known to force the bolt trough most solid objects |

| The typical claymorei s a 2 handed weapon. Long and heave its ment to cleave through its taget. Effective against polearms and shields. |

| A great example of a hand ax. These weapons are commonl used in pairs, one in each hand. Great for throwing or use with a small or medium shield. |

| A common long bow. Used at great range by skilled archers. Not many things will protect you from am arrow shot from this bow. Try not to be in its way. |
