2. An alternative to sororities
- The members of the Black Female Development Circle are not anti-sorority. Some of our members are members of sororities, and others may or may not aspire to be in a sorority.
3. A stepping stone on your way to a sorority.
- Members of the Black Female Development Circle take pride in our organization. By joining our organization you will learn life lessons and you will learn more about yourself. You will not learn anything pertaining to sorority life.
4. A "man-hating" group
- While we proudly wear the title of a feminist organization, we in no way spend time male bashing...in fact we speak very highly of good men!
5. Lesbians/Anti-Lesbian
- While we respect any woman's decision to date whom ever she wishes, we do not advocate homosexuality as a tenent of our organization. We could not turn any person away based on their sexual orientation, nor would be more pleased with a person who was heterosexual, bi-sexual, or homosexual. In other words, we welcome everyone.
