Link, Hyrule, Zelda, and all of the characters from the games Legend of Zelda are in no way my characters. All rights are to Nintendo.

Link stared into Donovan’s eyes. Battered and bruised he remembered all the things he did. He saw Donovan staring into his eyes. There wasn’t any hate. Just a thrill pulsing through their veins. A thrill to fight. Donovan, a handsome face with blue hair and electric blue eyes. Link found out some interesting facts about the past from him. And he was going to repay him. By beating him. Link looked at the sword Donovan was wielding. The thing was huge; it was bigger than Link. He surveyed Donovan. When Donovan knew he could not beat Link, he used Ganon’s glove to transform. Now Link to face to face with a monster. Link thought for a second. Can I truly beat him? Link couldn’t tell yet. Link made the next move. He rushed at Donovan. He swung the Master Sword at Donovan. He knew he had hit. Link got up. To him something didn’t feel right. He wasn’t carrying as much. He looked at his sword. It had snapped. Now Link had his answer. He then knew that he could not beat Donovan. Avon, his fairy, flashed, and told him that it was over.

Link turned a round and face Donovan. Donovan knew that he couldn’t beat Link either. He put all his strength into one blast. "This ought to finish you off!" Donovan yelled. Link powered up his final weapon. The Light Arrow. He had one left. But Link knew it wouldn’t work. The arrow wasn’t strong enough. So he called for help. He focused the entire power into an image of Zelda.

"Zelda…Zelda…help me…I can’t go on much longer…"

Zelda replied, "Just think about Hyrule. The arrow should reply to thought. Oh! Link, think about the songs Hyrule taught you. That really should help." Link focused his mind on all the songs. The aura around the arrow grew and grew. When it was bigger than Link, he began to look for a weak point on Donovan, just noticing the light radiating from Donovan’s sword. Link thought that Donovan wanted to end the fight right there. Link found the weak point. Donovan had a huge gash on his side. Link let go of the arrow, Donovan let the sword swing. It was over in a flash of brilliant light.

Two years after the Donovan training ground incident, Hyrule has finished the recovery era and just started the trade era. Many reports of flashing blue light and earth vanishing from under people’s feet were by the dozen. The king regarded them as Guredo attacks and called for Palinons to protect all exits and entrusted with powers to kill on sight. The King was on his throne when he heard a scream followed by some grotesque sounds

"Guard, protect Zelda. Someone has intruded my castle," the king said. As the guard hurried to Zelda’s chamber a flash of blue light came followed by smoke. When the smoke cleared he saw his guard lying there dead. "Who could do this?" the king wondered looking at the bolt door. The king looked up at the symbol of the Triforce and saw it was blue. Then he saw the figure. That blue amour, the markings on his head, and the evil glint in his dark blue eyes. This was the most terrifying man there is. "You again! I thought you were finished at Death Mountain." The king yelled.

"Well, is this any way to treat the man who destroyed the kingdom. I know what your thinking. How did I destroy the kingdom when you checked your kingdom three hours ago? Let me show you." He floated outside the castle. He waved his hand and brought fourth a huge Helix sword. He brought it around his back charging a blue disk as big as him. He brought the sword down swinging the disk down too. The disk hit the market and exploded, destroying the market.

"You looked scared. You should be." The king summoned his guard but remembered that the guard is gone. "Well I have a demand. Tell me when Link will come back."

The king looked confused. "What are you talking about? The Recreation can’t take place ‘till the Triforce has regarded you as a true threat. Or until Hyrule is destroyed."

"Done."

"But…"

"Listen, Link’s coming back. I’ll be there to meet him. Zelda knows it. That’s why she standing there looking out the window at the temple." He turned towards Zelda. "You’ve waited for two years for a reunion with your own flesh and blood. Link is coming back. I will fight him then. Now go back to The Courtyard."

Zelda left and the Blue Warrior turned to the king. "King, don’t take it personally." And He blew the king away.

The Recreation

The Temple of Time, the resting place for all the prayers and hopes of all Hylians. The silver and dark gray stones make the temple the second most beautiful place in Hyrule. The crest of the Triforce was placed over the alter and the Door of Time. The Triforce was no longer gold though. The colors were now brilliant shades of red, blue, and green. Three beams struck the floor. The red beam made the outline of a man in a tunic.& The green beam filled the outline with color. The man tunic and cap were green, he wore white under clothes, golden gauntlets, a shield that was assembled with multi-colored metals, and he held a powerful sword that he earned before his intense fight with Donovan. The final beam hit the man, and life flew through his newly active body. He fell to the ground, his eyes now blue with color, and he arched his back and took the breath of life. He stood up again and a small smirk crossed his face. Link, the Hero of Time, had been recreated.

Link stretched his arms and legs, feeling his muscles move for the first time in two years. He reached behind his back and took his sword and shield off. He felt so good that he could move again. He walked around the temple, and stepped onto the warp platform. He moved his head so that he could see the window that fed light into the temple. He bathed in the light, and closed his eyes to take in the reality. He had been brought back from the dead. He just had one question. He figured out that it was because he was a legend. Link picked his sword, and slashed the air, feeling the grip of the sword and reminiscing his intense battle with Donovan. Link put his sword down. A weird feeling crossed over his body. He felt something. He picked up his sword and spun and brought his sword a centimeter away from a small fairy.

"Boss! Don’t do it! Please! I didn’t do anything!" the fairy yelled.

"It’s okay. Avon, how’s life been without me." Link asked his wandering fairy. Avon flashed when sighed.

"Link, you should see for yourself." Avon’s voice faded when he said that. Link decided that he would go see his sister, Zelda. He walked to the exit, and looked outside. The place was a mess. The buildings were destroyed, the ground was charred and cracked. Link ran outside and looked at Death Mountain. The only problem was that Death Mountain was gone. Link gasped, and had second thoughts about going to the castle. This wasn’t an accident. An army must have attacked Hyrule.

Link ran into the market. He stared at the wreckage. There was debris, and burning wood everywhere. Link saw many citizens lying dead. He felt a surge of anger at the army that did this. Link ran to the Hyrule gate. Link ran to the end of the drawbridge, and stopped dead. The field, the ranch, the forest, the lake, the village, everything was gone. Link looked at the ground and saw a fiery pit that had a dragon that was circling a small island. On the island were two girls. They were Link’s friends, Malon and Pamela. Link eyes widened.

"Avon, this wasn’t done by an army," Link said

"Boss, this was done by a god," Avon declared.

Link and Avon went to the castle courtyard. Link hated this place because every time he comes here he is told to save the world again. Zelda sat on the stone steps that led to a beautiful stone statue. It was put there when Link fought Donovan. Link was amazed to see the castle. It was the only place that was not rubble. The west tower was the only damaged part. It had collapsed. Link approached Zelda, and Zelda turned away.

"Link, don’t start talking. It’s all over. The omen came and killed everyone. I couldn’t stand up to him. There is no one who can stand up to him. Just…" Zelda shook and Link stood, "Link…go…" Zelda stood up and ran. Link ran after her but he tripped. He stood and looked down. A merchant laid on the ground. He was alive.

"What happened?" Link asked.

"Ah. Young Link has crossed my path again, for I am the Happy Mask Guy. Link, do you hear it? The guardians cry a low hiss. Their song died two hours ago. Two hours ago, a blue omen came and killed all the citizens, and didn’t stop. He entered the castle, an impossible feat, eh?" The merchant was looking at the sky, and he groaned as he continued, "He killed the king and spared Zelda. The man wore light blue tunic, a sort of ritualistic armor, black underclothes, and held a gigantic double Helix sword. He stated his name once, and he said his name was fierce de…" Then there was a flash of brilliant light. The salesman now sat at links feet. He was dead.

"I knew he wasn’t going to finish that sentence." Link turned and walked back to the temple, where the Triforce glowed with an intense light. Link stared at the reflection, and saw a figure. Link turned around, unsheathing his sword at the same time. When he saw the figure, he gasped. That armor, the clothes the sword, the hat, all of it reminded Link of him. It reminded him of the one Link had sided with to take on the infamous Majora’s Mask. Fierce Deity stood before him, ready to fight.

Chapter Two: Face Off

"Link, I finally meet you. I have wanted to do one thing ever since I became free. I have wanted to face the son of the king since I was defeated at Death Mountain. I have been separated from my soul, my body trapped for twenty years, and I have had to live of the blood of the Hylians for twenty long years. I have had one desire, to kill you." Fierce Deity said pointing at Link, "I was made the bad guy, I was left to die, and I have lost my soul. I was put on this earth to keep Majora under control, and I did that. The long nights, the endless nightmares, and the lost life I live was to keep Majora under control. I…"

"Majora was a mask, what did you do to stop it?" Link asked.

"Link, you saw the final form that Majora took when he tormented Termina, the whips, the size. I was sent to make sure Majora never got past that stage. However, before you were born I got restless. I got strong, waiting for Majora to attack. Your king got worried, and the war started. How did you defeat Majora?"

"I fought alone at first. The first two forms were weak. Then the Wrath form came. I had only one option. The Fierce Deity mask. How did you escape the mask?" Link said.

"Link do you still have the mask? Give me the mask. Then I can fight at my full potential and arise the six other deities. Link, I can make the world into a huge battlefield. Do I have to kill you to make you give me the mask? ANSWER ME, KID!"

"A fight, I’ll gladly defeat you right now." Link grabbed the hilt of his Razor’s Edge sword, and he flipped it out of it’s sheath. He unhooked his skid shield and he got into dueling fighting stance. Link rush Deity and he swung at his chest. Deity picked up a sword left by Link two years ago and blocked Link’s shot. Link and Deity exchanged some vicious blows and they kept fighting. Link ducked and dodged the Double helix swords downward slices, and was able to elude the energy discs that the Deity slung at him. Deity then stood in the middle of the temple.

"Link, why do you hold back. I am fighting at my lowest strength and you can only dodge. How could a weakling like you be the Hero of time? I fight with my true status against all of my threats. I have waited for a chance to fight the son of the man who split my body and spirit. But you can’t even last this long." Deity threw off his Helix sword as he said this.

"Huh. I guess it’s gonna be one of those kinds of days. Well, then I probably won’t be needing my shield. Deity, do you have any clue whatsoever on what it’s like being dead and being recreated, and fighting a warrior like you in the same day? This sucks. After I beat you I’m gonna relax for a month. Well, let’s get this round started." Link said while leaning on the alter.

Link got back into his famous dueling stance. The light from the windows faded in and out as the fighters summoned tremendous strength. Link steadied his mind and body and closed his eyes. Right when Link began the first move his senses were thrown off. Link open his eyes and glanced at the Deity. Their strength had cause both of them to glow eerily. Link jump up and cleared his mind. He place his sword at an angle and put his energy in the sword. Deity had picked his sword up and charged his enormous energy disc. Link spun his newly charged sword around his hand until it was in a comfortable grip. Deity threw his energy disc, and watched it’s power separate the air around it, causing the air to burst into flames. Link spun around, the energy from the wave spread around. Link caught one glimpse of the flashes and realized that the explosion would destroy the remains. Link ran forward, trying to get in-between the energy attacks. Then the air was once again split by the explosion that came when the two energy attacks collided.

Link covered his eyes and ducked down. The lights blinked furiously. After awhile the lights died down and Link could stand again. Link scanned the area to see the total damage, then gasped at the sight before him. A red energy ball stood in the middle of the still standing temple. Link walked towards the red omen and touched the edge of the ball. Link was thrown back as the ball vanished and The core materialized into the form of a beaten down man wearing a red, blood-stained tunic, some thick boots, and a red Kokiri cap. The man held onto a double Helix sword and on his back was a shield that could make a perfect Skid shield. He turned around and faced Fierce Deity.

"Deity! Come at me you coward. You ran away when I was down and you took away thousands of opportunities that I had. I will kill you for the luck that you gave me. Now! That’s My Game!" The red figure yelled.

The two fighters hit each other, and a red orb surrounded the warriors. They fought inside the orb, while Link stood out helplessly. The two silhouettes fought endlessly, and every shot echoed through the Temple. Link smiled at the effort of the two fighters. He respected their moves, and they were like newly polished fighters. The ground around the orb shook. The orb kept changing from red to blue, and then Link heard a scream. The red orb dissolved, and a single sword stood. Link grabbed the sword, and the reality struck. The red warrior was dead. Link looked at Deity. He was laughing and mocking the great fighter. Link felt his blood boil as Deity mocked. Link did a sword symbol for respect, dug the sword into the ground, and stared at Deity ready to fight.

The forces between Link and Fierce Deity had reached an all time high. Link unsheathed his sword. Fierce Deity summoned a giant Helix sword. Link attacked first. He brought is sword at Deity’s face. Deity blocked it and looped around Link to break him with the Helix sword. He was too slow. Link read the attack, jumped, and called Avon to shoot a flare. The flare blinded Deity, and Link tried to slash Deity. Deity ducked and swung his sword around. Link sidestepped and jumped back. He used his magic to create a Faroe’s Wind checkpoint. Then Link charged up for his special spin attack. He let the attack go, not knowing that Deity had let an energy disk at him. The energy from the attacks had knocked both fighters back. Link then used his magic to teleport to the checkpoint he made. This happened to be right over Deity’s head.

"Busted. You are as good as they said," Deity declared," Let us fight like legends. Hand to hand. It is the true meaning of war."

"Sure" Link agreed.

Link focused his mind on a single thought. He pictured Darunia with the trophy he had won two years ago. He knew there was one way to get it back. When he opened his eyes, he had some boxing gloves on.

Deity looked infuriated. " Nice trick"

The fight began with Deity. He let a steady flow of punches fly. Link couldn’t keep up with the constant stream of punches. He was busted up and he could barely stand. Then, out of nowhere, Link unleashed a barrage of punches. Deity dodged each punch. On the last punch, Deity almost fell backwards. He was balancing on his feet but his body was bent completely horizontal. He stood there like that for about ten seconds. Then he let out a scream of piecing white-hot pain. He fell to floor and grabbed his temples while he rolled around still screaming. Then the commotion stopped.

"I dare you, you idiotic fool, to hit me." Deity said while getting up. Link did.

"I hit Fierce Deity. AND MAN DID THAT HURT!" Link thought.

Chapter Three: Enter Kid Link

Link grabbed his hand in pain. That armor was too strong. The pain in Link’s hand signaled that it was broken. He looked at Deity. Deity looked slightly winded. The armor was gone. Link had broken the armor with that last punch. Deity looked at Link. Deity’s eyes were now navy blue. He rushed at Link and punched him in the stomach. Link fell over and felt like kicking the bucket. He was now sure he was finished. He tasted blood.

"Link I will now show you true pain," Deity said hatefully. He took Link’s golden gauntlets. He picked Link up and threw him into the Door of Time. Links bones made a sick, crunching sound at impact. Deity stepped up to Link and took a bag full of his inventory. "My, my, my. What do we carry all day? Wow! Plans for a Flyer. Those things are extinct. Now what. Iron boots. I think I’ll try them on."

Deity put on the iron boots when Link started to rise. He was on his hands and knees. How can he posses so much power? How can I beat him? Link mind flowed with questions. Then Link felt a huge bolt of pain from his ribs.

Deity had kicked Link in the ribs. Then he started to stomp on him. Link cried with pain. Deity started to feel sorry for Link. So he thought of a plan. "Link. Get up. I have a proposition." Deity said, "I will give you a chance to save Hyrule. It will be clear very soon."

Deity handed Link a Time Talisman. " Link if you hold it tightly you will be teleported to this time. And do come back as a challenge.

Deity said something in a foreign language. Link felt a pull from behind his broken ribs. He was now falling, spiraling through time and space. He landed with a thud.

Link stood up. He looked around the field he was in. He recognized it as Hyrule Field. However, his view. It was…different. It was as if he was standing on his knees. He looked down at himself. He was short and he carried a puny sword. He was a kid again.

"WHAT! HE TURNED ME INTO A KID. DEITY!" Link was ecstatic. He didn’t know what to do. He was hopeless. Then he saw a large blue light. It was at the castle. Zelda. Will you remember me? Link thought. He ran toward the castle not knowing what he was going to find in his future.

Link arrived at the castle in about an hour. Zelda was in her courtyard. She saw Link and looked like she was going to faint with joy. " Link. I finally see you again. So did Fierce Deity give my brother a chance? Wow. I thought he was heartless."

"So he surprised you too. Do you know what he meant when he said I can change the future?" Link asked.

‘Yes. I saw it in a drea…" Zelda started but Link cut her off.

"I am really sick and tired of your dreams." Link said.

" If you’re joking, that’s mean. If you’re being sarcastic, well, that’s even worse," Zelda replied to Link.

Chapter Four: Guardians and Toray

"Well As you have found out Deity can posses people and share bodies without them even knowing. In my dream Deity has a huge shadow over Hyrule, but the beginning is in Karkariko Village. A boy wanting to be a hero was at the foot of the shadow" Zelda said," The Goddesses couldn’t stop him. But the out of nowhere a surge of red light extended from the four compass points of Hyrule. The boy then rose up and defeated the Fierce Deity shadow. Then he himself turned red. The Red Warrior had rose again." Zelda said in a mystic voice.

"I’ve heard of the Red and Blue Warriors. Who were they. I know for a fact that Fierce Deity is the Blue Warrior. Tell me about him." Link asked.

" Okay but I must warn you that I only know pieces of the story," Zelda admitted," Well it starts with two colors of aura. Red and Blue. They are the colors of good and evil. The Red Warrior has pure intentions. The Blue Warrior uses his intense power for very destructive actions. I don’t know the rest of the story but I know that it was said that a battle between the two would result in the Final Hour. The moment when time stops. The end of the world. It would be worse than if the Skull Child had his way with Majora’s Mask."

Link then had a terrible flashback of the Skull Child pulling Termina moon towards Clock town. The villagers evacuating. Panic, terror, confusion. And the Skull Child. Link will never forget Skull Child’s words before he brought the moon down. "If this is something that can be stopped, then just try and stop it."

"So the shadow began in Karkariko Village" Link asked

"Yes Lin…" Zelda started but Link was already gone.

At Karkariko Village, life went on as normal. Nobody could suspect that the end to the biggest threat in the history of humanity would start there. Link entered the town and got used to the comfy casual life of the village. Then one day he had just got finished with a graveyard raid when he saw a kid with short messy brown hair and a red suit. Link walked up to him and introduced himself.

"Hello. My name is Toray. Are you interested with knights," the kid said," I know moves of knights like this." He did a feeble spin attack. Then Link noticed that the kid looked about a year older than him. And Link had figured out that he was twelve. Link thought this kid was pretty cool, even though Toray’s moves were pathetic, and feeble. Link stepped up to him.

"Toray, I can do that. It is so easy. Want to see my moves?" Link asked.

"Sure," Toray said.

Link did some back flips and unsheathed his sword in mid jump. He brought his sword down but did a side jump right when his first toe hit the floor. He then calmed down and focused his energy on his sword. He got his sword ready for the infamous "Link Spin Attack." Link unleashed the attack but had over done it. All spectators were covered in ash. Link looked at them his face turning very red. "Sorry. I guess I was a little over-enthusiastic." Link said very embarrassed way. Toray was ecstatic.

" You got to teach me that," Toray said. Link nodded. "You will? Thank you! The only problem is… that … I have a problem. My grip is weird. Swords and shields don’t work that well with me. And my tunics never fit right. Can you still help me?"

"Sure," Link said getting ready to leave. "By the way. Have you seen a little green fairy that goes by the name Avon?" Link asked.

"Yes. He flew by then turned purple and disappeared," Toray replied.

Link ran to the castle, thoughts of his fairy getting hurt crossed his mind. When Link arrived, He asked Zelda about the equipment. Then his Avon flew in. "Sorry I'm late boss. Fierce Deity did a number on me. I know an answer to your question, boss," Avon explained, "The Guardians. They all have some sort of weapon or tunic or something. The only problem is that they’re really big and strong. I can understand what they say so I can help. The Guardian of the West is Nicola. He is a big guy with a huge sword. The Guardian of the East is Bostaovee. He is the most powerful boss. He is as big, if not bigger, than Death Mountain, where he lives. The Guardian of the North is Rig. He is a knight with the strongest armor. Then there is the Guardian of the South, Helsotha. She is a beautiful warrior that you have three minuets to beat." Avon finished while out of breath.

"Well, what are we waiting for, Avon? Let’s go!" Link said while leaving.

" Link. You leave again. Can you at least say bye? Sheesh," Zelda said jokingly

Little did Zelda know that there was someone else in The Courtyard. He stood in the shadows waiting for the right time to strike. "Link I will find you, and I will make you suffer like I did. Like all warriors did. It will be me and you, not for fame, but for honor. Link the sun is like your fate. Though it moves slowly, it will set." The figure laughed hard and jumped of into the setting run.

"So, Avon, want to go west first?" Link asked Avon in the Hyrule Market Square.

"Okay, Link. But I really don’t want to fight them. I… uh… have… um… run into them a couple of times." Avon started.

"I know you’re scared. I am too, but you can’t truly be strong if you can’t stand up to them. This is, what I like to call, the Uprising of Good. I call it that because evil and desire have polluted the beliefs of the inhabitants of Hyrule. Hylians are more interested with the elusive gold rupee. I am here to restore Hyrule, and have fun along the way. This rejuvenation, this uprising of good spirit is our responsibility to the upcoming Hylians, and to me, it’s fun. And I won’t Let Deity get away with his evilness. So we are caught in a never ending war. You must be strong to win and you must never give in to fear, Avon. And for the second best fairy I ever had, you’re the best at facing those fears." Link told Avon.

"Oh all right. All this for a friend. You’re a good person, Link. LET’S GO!" Avon yelled.

Link smirked, then he said, "Let’s Go? That’s my line!"

Chapter Five: Wild West Link Style

Link and Avon raced to the Guredo Valley, thinking of this boss and it’s tremendous power. Link ran across the bridge and slowed down as he reached the carpenters tent. He had to because from here on in, Link would have to sneak in to the desert. The Guredo were beautiful and talented warriors. Link could easily take one out, but it was almost impossible to take two or more out. As Link and Avon rounded the corner to the gate, Link felt a huge blade touch his back.

"Darn! We were so close!" Link exclaimed as the warriors took him to the prison hold. They threw Link into the cell. Link felt pain in his back as he landed on his rear. " Avon, you flashed, didn’t you?! Why on Earth did you flash!" Link yelled.

"I can’t help it! I’m a wandering fairy. That’s how you distinguish a normal fairy from a wandering fairy," Avon yelled back.

Then Link overheard a voice. "The Great Nabooru wishes to speak to the green fighter. Open the hold door," the voice said.

Then a woman stepped in from the door. "Well, well, well. It’s been awhile. You don’t ever speak to me anymore, Link. Why is that?" Nabooru asked.

"I’m sorry, but recent developments have not allowed me to do so," Link said

"You sound so educated for a twelve year old kid."

"Thanks."

"I’ll let you out if you tell me the reason you came back. And the reason you left," Nabuuroo proposed.

"I left to look for Navi. She left right after I reset time. She was my best fairy," Link said, not knowing that Avon was hearing every word," After awhile I gave up and came home. The only things I have to show for it is the techniques I learned. I then came back and got a new partner."

"Link you may go. But Nicola is going to win," Nabuuroo told him.

"Thanks for the confidence," Link told her while going into the desert.

Link traveled for about three days before anything happened. On the third day Link came across a small hole in the ground. He slipped down in it and looked at a huge door covered in metal bars. Link then saw a compass pointing west. Nicola was through that door. Link then smelt a funky smell. Link looked over to see a huge humanoid hunchback. The smell coming from it was atrocious. Link unsheathed his sword and rushed towards the creature.

The thing knocked Link aside like a rag doll. Link got up and looked for a weakness. Link saw it. He rushed toward the creature and swung his sword at it, but before the follow through he jumped over the creature. When he landed he saw the creature looking dumbly around. Link then unleashed Din’s Fire. The creature dropped a key as it fell to the ground.

"Nicola, get ready! This hunchback needs a bath. I have never held my breath for so long in my life." Link said while going through the door. Link looked inside the boss temple. The temple sparkled with radiating beauty. Link stepped in and looked for Nicola. Link then saw a pair of deep red eyes. Link stepped back and took out his Hero’s Bow. When the Thing stepped out Link froze with fear. Nicola was huge. He had large eyes and a big nose. He carried a huge sword. Link shot an arrow at the guardian but he blocked it. Link looked at Avon for help, but Avon had turned blue.

"Link, I can hear the spirit talking. He says he has a weird feeling in the back of his head. Link I can’t help you anymore than help you target him." Avon said. Link ran at Nicola with a plan. If he could just get through his legs he could get a good shot. Link then felt something hit his side. Nicola had hit him with that huge sword. Link got up and looked at that sword. It was so huge. How could anyone swing a sword that big? Link then had a new idea.

"Let’s see how high I can jump, Avon" Link told Avon. Link jumped as high as he could. He had jumped so high he was level with Nicola’s face. He swung his sword at Nicola’s face, and once again he got swatted to the ground by Nicola’s sword. This time it didn’t look like he would get up. "It isn’t possible. Nicola stands there so calmly and swings that big sword. If can make him drop that sword, I can beat him" Link said to himself. Link struggled with his deep strength to power his arms and legs, then he slowly got up. When he got up he shot an arrow at Nicola’s hand. Link’s hopes paid off when Nicola dropped his sword. Nicola then acted like a boxer. When he swung at Link, Link ducked under that fist and ran behind Nicola. He did another jump and landed on the back of Nicola’s head. Link dug his sword into the back of Nicola’s head. "Game over, I win," Link said.

Then a flash of great red light spread over the chamber. A red and gold chest appeared. Link opened the chest to find the Guardian’s Gift. He had received the Guardian Sword.

"Three more items left," Link said.

"The Waltz of Warriors" Chapters 6-8

Chapter Six: The End Of Link

Link headed for the Death Mountain. The big crater at the top was the home of Bostaovee. Link was aware that Bostaovee was huge too. He knew it was impossible for him to be bigger than Nicola. As Link climbed the mountain he noticed that Avon had turned blue again. Link knew what this meant. Bostaovee was close, But where was he? Link looked around Death Mountain but couldn’t find him. Then there was an eruption. Link ducked under a rock. The eruption tore halfway through the rock. When it died down Link stepped out, and his eyes widened. It was a good thing Link found such a good rock. The land around the peak was very smooth and was smoking, and was being covered by the immense downpour of ash. Link looked at the cloud of ash. Link then noticed something. That wasn’t a cloud of ash.

Link looked at the figure and saw it was humanoid. But it was bigger than Death Mountain. The figure was looking at his fist and with one swift movement he arched his back and let out a roar that made all the dust around retreat.

"Avon, this is unreal. Can you hear what he says?" Link asked. "Link, he says that his main weapon also keeps him balanced," Avon said Link took out the Hero’s bow and aimed a shot at the boss’s head, but when the arrow hit the boss just stood there. Then the boss raised his hand and fired a flame beam at Link. Link dodged the beam and shot an arrow at his hand. The boss just smiled. Link continued shooting until the boss looked at Link in a strange way. The space around the monster’s large eyes were heating up. Link felt his body waver. His mind was spinning, and his body was stiff. The feelings were jumbled and his arms were aching. It was like someone was trying to break into his mind. Time slowed down as Link lost his sword. Hit fell to the ground silently until the tip wedged itself in the hard mountain rock. the beast then hit Link with a green beam and he picked him up, letting him float in mid air. Then two red beams struck Link’s chest. Link fell over feeling dead. Link was floating above Death Mountain when Link noticed that the clouds around Death Mountain. Link never noticed the true beauty of Hyrule. "I never really looked at it. I saved a land I truly didn’t liked, Toray, to you, Zelda to you. If this be my match then I can say I lived my life the way I wanted to." Link said to himself. Then the boss shot a red beam at Link. The beam sliced right trough Link’s stomach. The pain was unreal. The boss kept shooting the beams at Link. Each hit multiplied the pain Link felt while doing things he did every day. Link had been punched with ten holes before he passed out.

Zelda looked outside her window. Impa was with her. When she saw the guardian killing Link she burst out in tears. "Liiiiinnnnnk!!!!" Zelda cried

She wasn’t the only one. Toray knew, the moment he saw the thing picking up the green thing, that Link was there. Toray filled with fury. When his friend told him the green guy was dead Toray exploded. "Link can’t die. He did all this for me. Trying to make me better. Well, he will live. If he can do all those moves at will he can do this task easily," by now, he had just started turning red, his hair lifted while an enormous blood energy rose from his feet. "Believe, guys believe. LINK, YOU WILL SURVIVE!!!!" the Blood energy gathered over Toray’s head and it materialized into a ball. Then a red beam shot out of Toray and headed for the castle. The great red beam raced out of Toray and rushed around the town looking for a way out. The light illuminated the faces of the amazed kids as this inhumane spectral omen raced to the sky. The beam raced towards the castle. Then the beam reached the balcony. The beam stopped at Sheik and materialized into a shadow of a fighter.

"It’s been a long time. Don’t worry I will rise again. And Link will live Zelda." Then the figure dissolved.

"No. Come back, we need you!" Sheik pleaded helplessly. The skies around the castle were darkened with the force of Bostaovee’s tremendous power. Sheik stood, eyes burning, and without notice pushed Zelda aside and jumped out the window. He landed on the tree branches and jumped tree to tree, and climbed the rocks to reach Link. Sheik flipped over a jagged rock and saw a disguise, and put it on to hide his identity. "Hold on Link, Just hold on."

Meanwhile, the colossus was still battering Link. Then out of nowhere the monster yelled in pain. The monster dropped Link. Link looked up to see that a person standing there. The person wore a mask that looked like a frowning sun, and a flowing purple cape. The figure stared at Link then left. Link swore that the sun mask guy had said, "Soon Link I will face you."

Link’s arm was shot when the monster shot all the beams. Link had incredible difficulty aiming the last shot. When he shot, he felt lucky to know that he hit the eyes. The monster fell into the crater. A red and gold chest fell out. Link opened it and received the Guardian Shield. The pictures of the different tribes were painted on its beautiful gold front. The glare shone on Link’s face, and the curvature of the shield could be made into a skid shield.

Link laid backwards to reminisce over the battle. "Mabey I am super human. But who was that sun guy?" Link asked himself, "Avon, Let’s go."
As Link was limping off the mountain, he saw a poster talking about a fighting tourney. "A fighting tournament? I’m in!" Link exclaimed.

Chapter Seven: Toray Fights

Link returned to Karkariko Village and looked for Toray. Link found him in the graveyard. When Link walked up Toray looked at him with excitement.

"Link! How did you survive? You were getting pounded up there. Are you a god?" Toray asked eagerly.

"No. I’m the person who is going to make you a legend. I got you a sword and a shield. And I’m thinking about entering us in a fighting tourney," Link told an already excited Toray.

"Am I going to fight?"

"In two weeks."

"Yes!" Toray did a huge jump.

Link got ready to head to the ranch. Toray was going with him. Toray and Link left at 12:38 and headed to the ranch. Toray was ecstatic to finally see Hyrule Field. Link then had a great idea.

"Toray, I’m still kinda winded. Can I have a drink of that red potion?" Toray said yes, so Link drank half a bottle, "Thanks. Well, I just had a great idea to test your speed. You see that big rock thing. That’s the wall of Lon-Lon Ranch. I say we race to it. I know that’s four or five miles so you shouldn’t have to walk any. On three." Toray looked scared. "One…Two…Let’s go!"

Link and Toray ran at breakneck speed. Link was ahead of Toray by a half a mile at the midway point. Link wasn’t even running at top speed. But for a newbie, Toray was very fast. He made all the same jumps Link made, all the same ducks Link used, he was like a superhuman himself. Link then got to the wall and stopped. Toray did the same thirty seconds later.

"Great workout, Toray!" Link exclaimed.

"Workout? Your joking, right?" Toray barely asked.

"Feel good. The first time I did it, it took me a couple of hours."

Link entered the ranch and ran to the horse area. Link looked for Epona but couldn’t find her. Link looked for about ten minutes before two girls walked out. Both were wearing orange scarves. One had red hair and blue eyes, a white and blue dress, and some thick boots. The other had brown hair, a pink shirt and green pants, and brown eyes. "Hey Malon, who’s your friend?" Link asked an old friend.

The red hair girl spoke up, "She’s Pamela. She’s my new assistant." Malon said, "What are you here for?"

"The Fighting Tournament, Toray will dominate the Novice Division, and I will dominate the Championship Division! Link and Toray, all the way!" Link exclaimed, his thumb pointing and him and Toray

"I’m Toray, I am Link’s student, although I’m a year older than him. How embarrassing," Toray said, before Link knocked him upside his head.

Pamela sighed, "Boys will be boys." Malon walked up to Link.

"I believe anything you say. If you say you will win, then Pamela and me will root for you." Malon said thoughtfully.

Link went to an empty place and said something to Toray. "Listen we’re going to stay here for the two weeks before the tourney. Toray, the Tournament will be held here. This place is perfect for training. We’ll start at midnight."

"Link, you didn’t tell me that there were two extremely cute girls at this ranch! Is it okay if I try to hook up with Pamela?"

"Calm down! They are cute, but I just love their eyes. They’re just so big and perfect. They show me their inter-personalities. That’s what matters, But that’s a lesson for another day." A small smile crept across Link’s face when he noticed something.

"Man, That’s deep. But I guess I’m getting love lessons from a kid who’s younger than me. Now that’s deep! Kids these days. You all think you know everything about the female Hylian sex."

"Toray if you only knew."

"uh-huh…HEY WHAT’S THAT SUPPOSED TO MEAN! LINK! WHAT ARE YOU TRYING TO SAY ABOUT MY DATING LIFE!" Toray yelled.

"Ha Ha Ha Ha Ha," Pamela was standing behind Toray and Link busted out laughing.

For thirteen days the training was very intense from sparring to stalchild rising, Toray gained new skills every day. On the last day before the tournament Link challenge Toray to a ten-minute fight, knowing that most fights only last seven minutes. Toray accepted. The fight started with some easy blows. Toray was keeping up with Link. The fight lasted for nine minutes when Link did the spin attack. When the energy cloud cleared up Toray wasn’t there. Link looked for him until he heard a voice from behind him. "Behind you, silly!" Toray exclaimed. Link swung his sword up, Toray swung his sword down, and they collided with an incredible flash of light.

"Why didn’t you tell me that you knew how to teleport?" Link asked, "I don’t even know how to do that!"

"I didn’t know. I just thought of having the perfect shot from behind you than I was behind you," Toray explained.

Link was happy. He had a student that actually could be stronger than him. Toray would have beaten him if wouldn’t have hit him. Link looked up to see Malon and Pamela around Toray. This sort of shocked him but he didn’t know why. Link stepped up to Toray. "Good luck," Link said while he was turning around. When Link reached the stable he was shocked to see a familiar face…or mask.

Chapter Eight: The Fighting Tournament

The sun mask guy was staring at Link, while Link unsheathed his sword. Then out of thin air Link felt something pierce his back.

"So he can teleport…Just like Toray…" Then Link blacked out.

"Is he okay?"

"He was hit pretty hard,"

"Link…"

Link woke up to find Toray, Pamela, and Malon. Malon was trying to wake him up. Then before anyone could react Link was choking Toray. Malon and Pamela were doing their best to pull Link of Toray but to no avail. Toray was turning blue when Link loosed up. "You tried to kill me Toray, only person who knows how to teleport like you did is dead, you just tried to kill me. Now I will kill you!" Then Link picked his sword and, still choking Toray with one hand, shoved the sword in the face of Toray. Link stopped before it hit the face. The face of Malon. Link stopped his assault on Toray that instant. "Why did you save him?"

Malon had tears in her eyes. "Stop it Link, We were with him the whole time. You never gave him a chance to explain. Are you so cold that you forgot what it means to have some patience? You’re a battle-hardened thing! You monster," Malon said crying.

Link got ready for the tourney. Soon Toray walked out. "Link, I’m not mad. It was an honest mistake. But Malon is. Link, win your division. I promise you something. That when I know that me and you have level abilities I will fight you."

At 17:00 the rings had been drawn. The Fighting Tournament had begun. The two rings had been full of the 32 competitors. Sixteen novices, sixteen champions. The announcer was very quick to announce the names. The pairing was already done. Toray was facing a guy called Buff. Link was facing a guy called Moon Strike. When the announcer got to Moon Strike the crowd went wild. The announcer said the pairings a little slowly. "We got a newcomer. Moon Strike the former world champion will face the new …what’s this say? Link? Never heard of him." Link’s face went blood red when he said that. Link looked at Moon Strike. He could tell Moony had the crowd on his side. Moon Strike was tall, muscular, the best looking. Link saw him. He had a sword too.

Moon Strike came to Link with an evil smile. "Hi, Link. Well, I get stuck with the runt. How fair. You should know that I won the Tourney Last year. I’ll beat you so bad. This will be a good warm-up." Moon Strike gloated. Link now felt a great smile on his face.

"Moony, I going to love beating you. I’ll beat you in one move.’ Then Link left.

Ten minutes later Link received a bad message. Toray lost his match. When Toray came back Link just said one thing, "You will win The Fighting Tournament one day."

Then Link was called out to fight. Link walked to the entrance tent. They called Moony out first. He walked out putting his hands in the air. He took a long time to get to the ring. Link was then called out. Link walked on the platform. He looked around and he noticed something. The Kokiri were soothing fireworks. They could see the match from a magic producer. Link held back a laugh when he thought of the look on Mido’s face. Link looked at Moony. Link then remembered his promise, so he put one finger up and said, "One move." The referee explained the rules (no eye gouging, biting, kicks below the belts, and you lose if you quit, are down for 20 seconds, and, if you, land outside the ring.) and Link and Moony got in sword fight poses, Link could see the rage and fury growing in Moony’s eyes. When the whistle blew Link rushed at Moony like Moony rushed at Link. No one is sure of the details in those brief seconds but they did see Moony and Link standing on the opposite edge of the ring. They then saw Moony fall over, out of the ring.

Link smiled and said "I told you, one move." He looked at the stands to see the royal family watching, Zelda grinning from ear to ear. Link also saw Malon she looked at Link and gave him a smile he’ll never forget cause at that moment Toray came into the ring and raised Link’s right hand in the air. Link didn’t even know that he was the youngest person to get past the first round in the Championship Division, let alone be the smallest person to beat a reigning champion.

Link walked back to the room and waited to see the person that he would face next. He was facing a Boxing Palinon that didn’t give his name. Link waited with a smile on his face. Then about a half an hour later Toray came in and told Link that his next fight was in a half a hour. Link then got his Goron boxing gloves. Toray saw that and asked, "Where did you get those?"

"I’ll get you a pair after the tournament. "

After a while Link was called out again. When he stepped out of the entrance tent the crowd went wild. Chants like "Go Kokiri," and "Link all the way," filled his ears. Link saw that the people wouldn’t forget the records he broke for along time. Link entered the ring and shot a Faroe’s Wind checkpoint next to Zelda.

Link then saw his competition. He was a mid-sized fighter with two huge fists. The fighter stared at Link with those beady eyes and said, "Nice gloves, loser." The whistle blew. Link got into defensive fighting stance and the Boxer rushed at Link. Link ducked his first punched, did a back flip during the second punch, and sidestepped the third punch. Then Link rushed the Boxer. The Boxer blocked most of Link’s punches, but when Link landed the cross the Palinon lost his defense. Link just started a barrage on the Boxer until the Boxer fell. Link then waited for the count-out. When the referee finished the crowd exploded with cheers. Link then used Faroe’s Wind to teleport to Zelda.

"Hi, Zelda"

"Hey, Link. So, how many Guardians have you beat?"

Link held up two fingers and Zelda smiled. "Zelda, don’t think I did it all by myself. This sun mask guy keeps jumping in my business but the first time he saved my life. Then he tried to kill me last night. But he doesn’t know that I am number one."

Zelda shook with laughter as Link left. Link entered the tent and was told his next match was in ten minutes. Link geared up. Then he heard the announcer and the crowd scream his name. Link stepped out with his opponent. Link got in the ring and heard the whistle ring in his ear. Link rushed at the other guy. The exchanged some minor blows when, about three minutes into the match the sun mask guy showed up. The guy rushed towards Link and when he got to Link he stopped. Link’s opponent stepped up and ended up with a sword in his chest. "Not again!" Link yelled, "Stop interfering!" Link rushed at him but he teleported out of there. But the sun mask guy already did the damage. Link was disqualified.

Link went out to the Lon-Lon Ranch exit where Toray was.

"Let’s go."

Toray and Link went to the Hyrule Market entrance. "Toray, We’re going to have some real training. Remember the big thing coming out of the mountain? We’re going to fight one, you ready?"

Chapter Twelve: Darn Avon

Link saw Malon trying to wake Talon up, and Pamela looking annoyed. They then heard Toray shut the door. Link shot Toray a look, that said, "I can never forgive you, Toray," Link then stepped over. Malon, Pamela, and Talon looked at him for a long time. Then Malon and Pamela rushed at Link and were staring at his face with tears in their eyes. They were really surprised to see him. Malon spoke first, "Link we thought you were dead. How could you be here? Are you a ghost?"

"No, I’m alive. I was attacked. Malon, Pamela, it’s so good to see you two again," Link told them then he thought of something, "Um… can you sew up my tunic. It’ got kinda messed up."

Pamela was happy to take it. An hour later Pamela came in with a tunic that looked as good as new. Pamela then asked Toray, "Why are you two boys here?" Toray looked a little red while he answered.

"We are fighting in another tournament. I will finally get my chance to beat Link," Toray explained. Link just smiled. Then Malon made a terrified squeak.

"Link, Toray, there won’t be a tournament. In three days, the ranch will be gone. They will be back to kill the cows and scare the living daylight out of the horses, causing them to lose their sanity. They even come into the house. That is how mom died. We can’t fight them unless… Link, Toray you can help us. You two can fight them. Please?" Malon pleaded. Link nodded. Malon and Pamela yelled for joy and Toray was grinning from ear to ear.

Link stepped out side for some fresh air when he saw the horses. They galloped around the ring with many golden saddles. Link saw his old horse Epona. He decided to see if he could ride Epona. He got next to her and played Epona’s Song. Epona stood still and allowed Link on her back. When Link fed her that carrot she ran like mad, showing speed that Link had never seen, outrunning the other horses with incredible ease. When Link was on his fourth lap, Link was almost thrown off. Epona had stopped dead, and was staring at the wall of the ranch. Link looked and saw what Epona saw. Link saw a blue figure standing on the wall. Link drew his sword. Fierce Deity was standing on the wall. When Link rushed Deity disappeared. Then Link saw his wandering fairy, Avon.

"Hi boss. I was just talking to…Deity’s fairy… she told me that going through this time is just a waist of time."

Link stared at his fairy and at Deity. Link saw Deity dissolve away and He was looking at the ground. Link decided that he would stay.

Link walked around the field and tripped over his feet. Link looked at his feet and saw that they were as big as his feet were as an adult. Link then had an important thought. Where was his cap? Link ran into the house and looked around. No one was there and the room was very clean. Link went upstairs. When he opened the door, everyone jumped from behind various items. They had a banner that said "Thank You Link!" and a pile of gifts waiting for him. A grin crept across Link’s face as Malon Pamela and Toray were parading around him. Then Link felt something soft land on his head. Malon had put a Kokiri cap on his head. Link felt his grin widening. Toray came and took him outside.

"Okay, enough thanks! Let’s train," Toray demanded. Link and Toray did a bunch of training sessions, and he was surprised when Toray did a correct energy spin attack. Link fear was huge when the energy from the attack had spread. He thought with all of his strength that he was right next to Toray, a safe place. Link closed his eyes, and when he opened them Toray was looking for Link. Link poked his sword at the back of Toray’s head. Toray was mad. "YOU NEVER SAID THAT WE COULD TELEPORT! When did you learn to do it?" Toray asked when he calmed down.

"I just thought of having the perfect strike right next to you and I got it. Weird," Link told him.

Link and Toray trained for two days when the words Avon told him caught up with him. Link walked into the house and Malon was getting a bow ready. "Hi, I’m just getting ready for the battle, Link" Malon explained.

"Malon, there won’t be a fight. I was told by my fairy, that…this…isn’t…this isn’t worth it. I have a more important thing to worry about. The ranch isn’t more important than my reasons." Link stated. Malon arms shook.

"If that’s all, then you may leave. Go home. Your just like everyone else!" Malon yelled not showing her face.

Link left the house. Avon floated outside the door looking at Link. Toray was trying to look innocent but Link knew that he heard every word. Link stepped up to him and asked, "What did she mean by I’m just like everyone else?"

Toray walked over to a pile of fresh hay and fell back in it. Link walked forward. "I think she was overcome with a newfound fear. Link these… Marauders come; they kill the horses and scare the living daylights out of the cows. The cows then can’t give milk. And one will go in the house and kill a human every couple of years. That is how Malon’s mom died. Killed by the Marauder’s song. It’s that bad," Toray explained, "Then Malon goes and asks every warrior in the area for help, and they laugh. She thought that she had a chance to finally beat them."

Link looked at the setting sun, his mind boiling with one desire. He was going to save the ranch. "Toray, we’re staying."

Toray smiled slightly, his hands shaking with enthusiasm.

Chapter Thirteen: They came

Link and Toray waited outside looking at the guays fighting. Link turned and saw the moon. Then Link noticed a weird cloud appearing over the moon. "Toray, how much time do we have?"

"Three minutes to midnight. I wonder if Pamela will watch." Toray whispered.

"You told Pamela. Great idea, I don’t want Malon to know," Link said.

"I told Pamela not to tell Malon, I knew you didn’t want Malon to know," Toray explained.

Link got ready for the battle. Him and Toray had a plan. Toray would take the ones trying to get to the horses and Link would kill the ones who tried to scare the horses with their song. Link would use his trusty sword, and Toray would use the Hero’s Bow. Link stared at the cloud of monsters and Toray was doing the countdown. Toray’s voice was trembling when it was twenty seconds away. Link heard a sound that was like the wailing of a wolfo. The wailing lasted until the countdown was over. When Toray said, "Zero" every thing went quiet. The cloud of monsters swooped down on the ranch and Link saw what the creatures were. They were tall and wavy but their heads were thick and their hair was fire. They sang a ghostly song and they had claws that were as big as Link’s face. Link stood back frozen in fear and Toray was shaking madly. Then a huge monster appeared above the wall. It looked like it was a guardian but it couldn’t be. Link saw Toray fire an arrow. They hit and caused a green and blue liquid to spill out uncontrollably. Toray was shooting freely, hitting a lot of these monsters, and Link was getting ready for his wave.

Link’s wave of monsters came soon enough. The monster opened its mouth like it was going to start singing. Link then figured it out. The monster was getting ready to scare the horses by singing. Link stopped that as soon as possible. He was swinging his sword at the monster when seven more just popped at him. Link felt one monster sink its claws in his back. Link spun while it started singing and sliced the monster in half. Link then took five out with Din’s Fire, knowing that that is not the best way to save the ranch. Link then took the last one out by teleporting behind it, and thrusting his sword in it’s back. Then Link heard Toray yell in pain. Apparently the monsters could throw the claws. Toray was still shooting arrows while he placed his shield over his leg, where he was hit. Toray yelled at Link, "Link, one got into the barn. Go get him," Toray informed Link.

Link ran into the barn. The cows were mooing madly while the monster hummed. Link slashed the monster and the cows shut up. Then a purple and gold blur appeared out of the corner of his eye. Link turned around to see his old enemy, the Sun Mask guy. Link shook his sword in a threatening way, and the mask seemed to laugh. "Link…one monster got into the house. Would you rather fight me, or save those pathetic people," the Sun Mask guy asked. Link stared at him for a few seconds.

"I’ll fight you sometime, but now two girls and an old man are waiting for me, and I WILL SAVE THEM," Link declared. Link headed out the door but the Sun Mask guy teleported in front of him. Link surprised him when he teleported too.

Link ran into the house. The creature was on the stairs when Link ran in. That monster beat him into the room and it turned on the ranch owners. The thing stared at the Ranch owners; it’s claws ready for the final slash. The thing startled link when it spoke, it’s voice was cold and heartless, "Finally, I get to kill. Your red and green resistance was strong, but they couldn’t get me. I’m going to love this."

Link looked at his shaking hands, and he was glowing with a green energy. This guy was going down, and Link was going to save Pamela, Talon, and Malon. Link ran in at the creature sword raised. The monster was startled to feel the blade graze his shoulder. Link landed on the wall, and jumped off it, his sword gathering energy. The monster raised his hand to kill Link, but Link was way ahead of him. He landed and did his spin attack, slashing the monster. Link didn’t know it, but Malon had seen his face. Link was going berserk on the monster. Then the monster fell out the bedroom window. Link jumped after it. Toray was standing over the monster, bleeding heavily down his leg. He had his bow pointed down at the enemy, and a look of a hidden excitement. Link turned towards the house as Toray shot the arrow.

When Link entered the house, the ranch people were waiting for him. Malon rushed at him, kissed him on the lips, and hugged him. Link felt pure relief strike his body. He kissed Malon again and he held her tightly in his arms. Pamela was gave Link a look that said, "Thank you." Toray walked in and was about to say something, but didn’t say it when he saw Link and Malon embracing.

Chapter Fourteen: Link
s Alive?

Link woke up the next mourning and looked at the ranch. He was reflecting the night before, and waiting for the three days to pass. The Fighting Tournament was going to start again, and this time Link was going to win. He was lying in the hay when the builders started working on the ring and stands. Nothing could bring Link down. He was empowered with a newfound strength. He was motivated by the thought of his return to the fighting tourney. And he was fighting for someone.

Toray didn’t train much, knowing that the Marauder fight was enough training. Toray hung around Link and watched the spectators and tourist wander around the ranch. Toray wasn’t stressed by the upcoming tournament at all. He had won it the year before.

The day before the beginning of the tourney, Link was leaning on the wall when the Sun Mask Guy showed up. Link saw him but didn’t react. He just stared with his hand on his sword hilt. "Link, good choice. When you took the route you took, you saved three lives, and you earned yourself a new feeling. Link, before now, you fought with no emotion, and you relied on you skills. Now you fight with emotion. That’s why Deity wanted you to live. It would make his fight more fun." Link was still staring.

"What are you here for?" Link asked.

"I still want to fight you, and here I could fight you easily," Sun Mask Guy said.

"See ya there," Link said plainly.

Then, the next day, the tournament had begun. Link stood out in the mourning celebration, and he watched the other fighters get ready. Fans were crowding Toray and Link couldn’t help notice that he seemed to enjoy this. Link didn’t tell the announcer to announce Link. He wanted to surprise everyone. Link was startled when the announcer said that you could kill your opponent in the final round.

Two hours later, Link saw who he was facing. He was going to face a Gerudo. Link watch Toray dazzle the crowd as he one his first match. Then Link got a call. It was his turn in an hour. Link looked at all the different fights, and noticed that there was no chance for him to fight Toray. The only possible way would be if they both were in the finals. Link waited for his hour and he walked to the entrance ramp. Link waited for his name to be called, and when he heard his name he held back a smile. The announcer was flabbergasted when he read the name.

"Next we will have Nabooru versus…It can’t be…He’s supposed to be dead…the other fighter is… Link!" There was a stunned silence, and then a roar of cheers. Link smiled at the idea of being a fan favorite, and was glad to hear that they remembered him. Link then stepped out and was almost thrown back by the explosion of cheers, and yells, and explosions. Link looked in the ring and saw the Sage of Spirit, Nabooru. Link walked up to her.

"Good luck. I’m afraid that I am going to win, but let this fight be a good one." Nabooru said. Link just stood there, and he smiled.

Then the whistle blew. Link unsheathed his sword and Nabooru took out her double blades. Link ran towards Nabooru, and he tripped over his feet again. He had landed really hard. "Ouch!" Link looked at Nabooru, who was about to start laughing. Link then rushed again. Link and Nabooru got into an intense fight. Link was blocking all of Nabooru’s shots and was getting his shots blocked. He then jumped high in the air. Link landed and caught Nabooru in the arm. A slow stream of blood slid down Nabooru’s arm. Nabooru then rushed at Link. Link jumped out of the way and Nabooru landed outside the ring. The fight was over.

The crowd went wild as usual and Link started to walk away. Link was walking towards the stands to talk to Zelda, but he ran into all seven Sages.

"Hi," They all said in unison.

"Mmmm, lookin’ good," Ruto said, as Toray walked up. Toray busted out laughing at that.

"Shut up, Ruto. Toray, you’ll shut up if you want a chance at beating me."

"Linky, who is this Malon girl Toray told me about. Have you been…" Ruto was about to ask.

"SHUT UP! Toray you…you…" Link yelled at Ruto and Toray, and Toray didn’t listen. He surveyed the Legendary Sages.

Toray still had a smile when he looked at the Sages. He looked at Darunia closely.

"You’re weird. I knew Gorons were ugly but you’re atrocious."

Link had to pull Toray out of the way of Darunia’s punch. Toray then turned to Saria.

"A kid? Wow, you’re Link’s best friend. I though that you were our size."

When Link heard that his heart stopped. Link was getting annoyed at this. Saria was looking shocked, and gave Link and Toray an evil look.

"Nabooru? So you’re the one Link just beat. I can tell by your arm. You very pretty, your nose is a bit long though."

Toray ducked the blade shot. He then came to Impa. He looked at her and was bowing. "You’re the one who built my home. I thought you were a man by the pictures."

Link eyes widened when Impa rushed at Toray. Impa missed when Toray sidestepped.

Toray skipped over Rauru, and turned to Zelda.

"Wow, your better looking than I imagined."

Link would bet on his sword that Zelda blushed for the first known time. Toray walked away and the Sages, besides Zelda and Rauru, were staring at him angrily. Link walked away slowly.

Link walked into the waiting tent and looked at Toray as he walked in.

"Are you crazy?" Link asked Toray.

"I told it as it is," Toray stated.

"Toray, you idiot, it’s bad enough that you went off on Darunia, Saria and Nabooru, but no, you have to go after Impa, and make a move on my sister. And your on Ruto’s side," Link yelled.

Toray sighed and left. Three minutes later he returned with a frown on his face.

"Link, the announcements are longer than my matches."

"Show off. Who am I facing?" Link asked.

"Krillin-tai-son-me-ho-dab-moon." Toray said, and with a wide grin he added, "You might remember him as Moon Strike."

Link looked over at the other fighters and he saw him. Moon Strike.

Link walked over to Moony and stared. "Remember me?" Link said.

"Li…Lin…Link! You can’t be here! Your dead!" Moony yelled.

"Your glad I’m here. You finally get the chance to reface me. Have you gotten better."

"Yes, I can beat you now."

"Let’s find out."

Link heard the announcer call their names and him and Moony walked out at the same time. They stepped in the ring and Link was swaying on the words of the announcer.

"Everybody, three years ago, young Link and Moon Strike walked in the ring and we were captivated by Link’s instant rise to stardom, three years ago, Link became famous by defeating Moon Strike in one move. Will it happen again, with Moony training extensively for these last three years?" The announcer yelled. Link got into his fighting pose, and Moony his. Link’s sword shined with green energy and Moony’s red. Link felt like he was in a dream, every one was on there feet screaming and Link was concentrating on his competition. And the whistle blew.

Link rushed at Moony and swung at an upward angle, catching Moony’s sword. Moony swung downward at Link and hit nothing, and Link cleared out and was charging his sword. Moony saw what was happening and Moony searched for a weak spot. When Link let the attack go, Moony jumped and was hovering over Link. Moony pointed his sword down and started to fall, aiming for Link. Link looked up, and did a jump to the side, as Moony landed right were Link was.

"Moony, I’m shocked. That was a Palinon fighting technique. You must be very talented if you can master techniques like that in three years." Link said, know realizing the way to beat him. Link did some normal strikes on Moony, getting Moony’s sword hand tired. The, in a flash of steel and flesh, Link got Moony in the stomach. Moony fell over and the count out started. Link knew that the match was over. When the fans cheers erupted at the end of the count, Link walked to the waiting tent.

Toray ran up to Link and was wide eyed, "Link, he was using Palinon fighting techniques, and you beat him! How?"

"Well," Link remembered what it was that made him win, "Toray, when the Palinons are in fighting stances, they have very little defensive balance. When I let out some basic moves Moony got tired. I then saw the only opening that I would have. I did a thrust, and Moony was too busy with his balance, that I could strike him untouched."

"Wow!" Toray then left to see who he was going to face in the semi finals. "I got a pushover, you have a guy who says his name is the Sun Mask Guy."

"Toray, remember when I attacked you three years ago?" Link asked.

"I’ll never forget."

"Well, I thought that you were dressed in the sun mask outfit. And I though you were the only one who could attack me because you could teleport like him. I attacked you thinking that you were him, and now I can beat him for that." Link exclaimed.

Link watched Toray win another match and then he turned to the match up table. It showed the tourney chart. If Link were to win his match, Link would face Toray in the final round.

"Toray and Link all the way…" Link still remembered the words that he said when he and Toray said when they walked into the ranch for the first time.

Link walked over to Zelda and was having a talk with his sister. "Zelda, how’s everything on your side? I had a fun time."

"Link, I’m just now getting over you winning your first match against Nabooru. You beat a sage, and without even breaking a sweat. That’s incredible!" Zelda exclaimed.

"Well, she is stronger than what she was, she must have been training for a long time. Where is Sheik?" Link commented.

"Sheik is over-looking Death Mountain. The recent eruption set Bostaovee free again. Sheik, Toray, seven Elite Palinons, and me fought him. Sheik and me were hurt real badly, Toray scorched his shoulder, and the Palinons were all killed. It was a great loss." Zelda turned her head towards the ring. "He’s probably furious that he couldn’t come.

"Hey, Link!" a voice yelled from the stands. Sheik then appeared in front of Link, and Moony stood behind. Link’s already wide grin got even bigger. "Link, great match. I thought I was the best."

"Link, I trained for three years and you still beat me down. That is not cool. I’ll beat you some day!" Moony challenged.

"Only if I let you, Moony," Link and Zelda laughed and Sheik turned away to hide his amusement.

Link walked towards the ring when they called his name. And his opponent was waiting for him.

"Don’t hold back," were Link’s final words before the match. Link and Sun Mask Guy unsheathed their swords, and Link got into a dueling pose. Link heard the whistle and they started fighting. Link got his shield out when the Sun Mask Guy started swinging. Link was dodging left and right, and he was getting his shots in every time he could. Link did a jump that put him so far up that he got a chance to regain his strength.

"Whew! Could he be any stronger? I wonder if I can trick him?" Link started his fall and drew his sword. Right before he landed on the ground he teleported to the other side of the Sun Mask Guy. He swung his sword and was pushed back by a surge of light and wind. Sun Mask Guy had blocked the attack, and his mask had been cut in half. He stared a Link with a look of pure delight on his electric-blue-eyed face.

"Link, do you know who I am?" Sun Mask Guy asked in a cold voice. Link shook his head. "Link, you’ll know soon enough. You are a great fighter if you can hold up against me. You are the winner, I quit."

Link could swear that the whole stadium had heard the offer. Link fell down in shock and stood up to shake the opponents hand. Link then turned to the standing crowd, and an idea struck his mind. He ran towards the sages and they were happy to oblige to Link’s idea. Link put his idea into action and waited for his opponent, his friend, his new foe, Toray.

Chapter Nine: Rig, Guardian of the North

Link entered the market. Link told Toray all about the guardians, Toray decide to help. Link was still furious about the Tournament. Link vowed to get even with the sun's mask guy. Link walked around the market until Toray spoke up, "Link your fairy's glowing." Link looked at Avon.

Link knew what was coming. "Toray Rig will rise soon, get ready." Link unsheathed his sword

"Link, There are too many innocent people around," Toray said. Then it happened. The ground shook violently, all civilians in the market stood still. The Rig's hand shot out of the ground. Link was then knocked down by the wave of people running to the nearest. Link then saw Toray standing his sword out and in the same fighting pose Link was in when he faced Moony. Link ran up to Avon.

"How do we beat him?"

"He says that his armor is strong but it wears out after awhile."

Link rushed at the creature's belly. His sword hit with a loud clang. Toray did the same. The two fighters heard cheers in the background. "Let's show them what legends do all day!" Link said to Toray. Link jumped and tried to hit the monster in his rusty helmet but he was swatted down when he got to the face. This was like the Nicola fight. Link wiped the blood from his eyes and forhead Toray then started the attack. He started to hammer in o the stomach. The attacks left huge marks on the monsters belly armor. The monster then raised his sword to smite Toray. Link jumped in front of the sword and blocked it. The monster kept trying to hit Link while Toray continued to chop the monsters belly. Then Toray couldn't chop anymore. Link got a good plan. Link ran up to the monster's belly and started to swing away. The monster swung at Link and when Link felt the rushing air he did sidestepped and watched as the monster sliced himself in the stomach, slicing through his armor like a hot knife through butter. Link then watch the creature dissolve into the chest. Link and Toray walked up to the chest and got the Guardian Chest Plate out of the red and gold chest.

Toray put the chest plate on. "Cool armor. Link, look at the treasure chest. Can we sell." but Toray was cut off. Link saw three monster heads appear in front of him. They started growling

"Boss. The guardians are trying to teach you a song." Avon told Link. Link took out his ocarina. And Toray's sword became a guitar. The guardian started humming a cool melody. Link started to play along, and Toray started awhile after Link started. "Boss, You learned the Guardian's Echo. They say you'll need it to beat Helsotha."

"Well, Toray get ready to face Helsotha! Were going to Lake Hylia!" Link yelled, with the Hylians cheering Toray and him in the background.

When the Talisman Broke

Link and Toray started there decent into the lair of Helsotha. Link was in the lead when he got to the River. He then got into the River to swim and he found out that Toray was like a dolphin. He was hard to keep up with in the water. They arrived in the Lake after about ten minutes. They swam to the center and Link looked at his Time Talisman. The thing was vibrating. Link then remembered something he heard about Time Talismans. They aren't waterproof. Link almost cursed when the thing exploded. Toray looked at the pieces of the talisman. Link looked at Avon for help but Avon told him to look at the ground. Link looked where the talisman fell. He saw the mark of the Guardians. Link looked up and saw the mark in the sky. Link had an idea. He played the Guardian Echo and the marks turned the color of the chests. Then Avon said, "Toray step in between the red beam that's going to come down. Link will then have to face Helsotha."

Toray jumped into the space between the marks and the beam shot down and went through Toray. Link then heard a girl laughing under the water. The water shivered as if some unnamed force was scaring it. The foam on the majestic waves were growing as the center swirled around a shining and wet hand. The hand reached for the now-grayish-green sky. Link eyes were eased to see a woman's body rise from the swirling monster called the sea. Link, for some reason reached toward the woman. And he realized that the woman was the guardian. Link unsheathed his sword as the guardian shot out of the water. Link stared for a while. It looked like a pretty woman that got into one to many fights. Link did a thrust, and she jumped over him. Link looked over at Toray. Toray couldn't help this fight. The beams were holding him back. Link then remembered the grim thing Avon told her. He has three minutes to beat her. Link then chased her. She out ran him the whole time. Link then stopped. He focused all his energy on his sword. He concentrated his energy. Helsotha started running circles around him. The cicles she ran were stirring the air and the winds became unbearable. It was too hard for Link to keep standing. She was waiting on the time when she would come close enough. She then came right up to him. She looked in his eyes. She gave a mischievous smile. Link then unleashed his spin attack. The attack cut through Helsotha.

"I beat all of them!" Link yelled. Toray was released. Link and Toray jumped around in joy. And Avon relaxed. Link then heard a voice. "You have beautiful eyes.

Chapter Ten: The Archives

Then Link had a reality check. Link asked Avon if he knew how to go forward in time. Avon didn't know. Then Toray asked, "Let's go to the Archives."

"Where and what are the Archives?"

"The Archives is said to be the place where legends face monsters from the past. And it's said that at the end you get a very big treasure. I heard that's in the Zora Domain." Toray explained.

"Sound fun," Link said.

Link and Toray looked for the swimming warp between Zora Domain and Lake Hylia. Link found it first, but Toray still out-swam him there. When they arrived, the domain amazed Toray. Link looked for a spot that looked like the Archives. Link was then startled to hear a familiar voice in his ear. "Hello husband."

Link jumped out of the water and onto the platform. Link looked down to see Ruto, the Sage of Water. Link looked at her in a half furious half embarrassed way. "Ruto, don't do that!" Link yelled.

"Don't get mad. You're the one who took my engagement present."

"And then I gave it back."

"So."

"Arggh! Ruto do you know where the entrance to the Archives are?" Link asked.

"I think it's behind the waterfall, but I could be wrong Linky."

"Ruto! Shut up, Toray!" Link screamed, while Toray was on the platform. He was laughing so hard that he was about to pass out. "Ruto, I'm not your husband that's final."

Link was almost to the waterfall when Ruto called after him, "Link, if you don't like me than why are you so red?"

Link and Toray made it to the inside of the waterfall when Link saw the mark of the Guardian. Link played the Guardian Echo and the wall shook. Light started flowing through the cracks and the wall exploded. Link looked through the wreckage to see a hall and many different pictures that looked like they extended forever. Link then saw a plank that said that no one who kept the armor of the guardian deity could enter. Toray saw this and sat down. Toray waved Link on and Link walked in. Link looked at the pictures. He saw pictures of monsters like dodongos, leevers, stalchildren, and guays. He saw pictures of bosses like Volvagia, Gomha, Ghot, Bongo-Bongo, Odolwa, Gyorg, the Guardians, Ganon, and Donovan. Link then saw a large sigh that said heroes. In the very middle there was a picture that said, "The Hero of Time." Link was amazed by the history kept between the walls of the Archives.

Link walked to a door that said "His first quest." Link walked in and saw 20 stalchildren. Link proceeded to slice them and then he saw the room transform into a bigger room that included 10 Takukri birds. Link was winning this battle when a bird stole his shield. Link then saw that bird and shot 50 arrows in his body. Link looked at another door that said Instinct. Link walked through it and saw a four-way intersection. Link looked at the sign next to the door. It said that if you choose the wrong path you would die instantly. Link stood there when a sudden impulse made him go left. Link walked for a minute then a voice said "Good job."

Link walked on that path for an hour. Then he came to a door that said "Prize". Link walked through. In the room an old guy sat in a room with a couple dancing to a strange melody and two kids, a boy and girl, looking at different directions. Link walked up to the man. The man said, "Young Link, please tell me which of the two couples show more affection .I see your confusion. Young Link, I know your name, because I am like Dona. You might know him because he was the Giant Island Turtle in Termina." Link studied both couples. The dancing couple was looking glad from a distance but their faces showed a true hate for each other. The two kids were looking like they despised each other, but when Link studied their faces and saw that they were actually smiling. Link pointed at the kids. The old man laughed, "Link, good job. Reading people like that shows how good of a person you are. It shows that you understand the feelings and emotions. For a hero, that would be a fault. Link, it would be an advantage for a warrior. You are a true hero-turned-warrior. I honor you with the Waltz of Warriors." The man hummed the song and Link followed. After about four tries, Avon rose up.

"Link, Your learned the Waltz of Warriors. I've heard this song. It will awaken the Timecube. Link, You enter your sword into the Timecube, and you go to any time you want to!" Avon declared.

"Remember, Young Link, the Waltz of Warriors is what those chosen one's lives are around for, and it is the fall of evil reign." The old man the faded and with a fain pop, he disappeared.

Link left the archives. Link rendezvoused with Toray and explained the plan. Toray was confuse so Link explained the preceding events, "Toray I come from the Future. The future is grim because of a powerful omen that is threatening the world with pure strength, and I faced him. He beat me without even trying. He sent me back to this time and gave me a second chance. I then found out the reason. I can't beat him, but in ten years you can. You must train as hard as possible. And tell Malon that I died," Link explained, "Toray believe in your abilities. After all, you'll be greater than the Hero of time. All's that you need is a Kokiri Tunic. I'll see you sooner than you think." Link said. Toray nodded but it looked like he wanted to argue. Link played the Prelude of Light and went to the Temple Of Time. Link arrived and headed for the courtyard. When he arrived Zelda acted like she knew what he was going to say.

"Link, I know that you want to face Deity right now but you must wait. Go forward three years. You will learn more fighting techniques and mabey something more important. Link before you go leave with these words. You must want to live, and when you do than actually live, don't rely on that one prowess for all of your existence. That would be your downfall if you were to do that," Zelda explained. Link got his ocarina out, and proceeded to play the Waltz of Warriors. Link felt a pull from behind his head. Link looked around and noticed that he was in a weird temple. Link walked up to a purple cube. Link touched it and felt a wonderful power radiate through his body. The Timecube was just waiting for him to put his sword in it. Link raised his sword and jabbed it in. Now Link knew that he was going forward in time three years.

Chapter Eleven: Wait, this can't be right

Link was then stabilized by nothing but a weird purple light. Link looked at the ground and saw that the floor was now showing pictures of things that would happen in these years to past. Link saw Toray telling Malon about his death, Toray training for a year, the guardians yelling, Toray winning the Fighting Tournament, And a final picture of all of his friends standing in the ranch looking at a fire.

Link then landed. The ground around him wasn't like a temple anymore, and Link felt a weird feeling, there was evil in this place. Link unsheathed his sword and looked around. He then saw it. It was like Bongo-Bongo was not the only shadow creature there was, Link saw one more like him. An ugly head, horns, and two hands without arms. The thing struck first, swinging his hand at Link. Link dodged it easily and rushed at the hand. Link cut a piece of it of with that last attack. Link then rebounded and did some spin moves to dodge the oncoming danger. Then that monster showed a new technique. It put an energy shield around him and looked like it was drawing energy. It was turning blue by now as Link hopelessly knocked his sword on the energy shield. Then the monster unleashed a powerful beam attack at Link. Link side stepped and dodged is, but his left arm was scorched. Then Link was hit hard from the back. Link didn't know what hit him because the monster had its hands in front of him. Link turned around but was hit again. Link was really getting messed up. Link was then able to dodge the last shot. Link turned to see a second Bongo-Bongo type enemy. Link then saw that this was impossible. Then the first Bongo-Bongo type screamed. A red bolt ran across it.

"Link, run! Attack the second in close combat. I'll take care of this one," a voice said. The voice sounded familiar, but it sounded deeper. Link did as followed. When Link tried to get close to the second one, the second one hit Link as hard as possible. Link had lost two things in the monsters last attack, half of his tunic and his cap. "You darn monster. You took the thing that was most important to me! You took my hat!" Link was enraged. His tunic wasn't a big deal, but he loved that cap. Link went superhuman on the monster. He let out his mid air combo at the monster. That did it, the monster cried in pain as the scars on it let out some blue fire. Link turned around and saw the red omen destroyed his enemy too.

"Who the heck are you?" Link yelled at the red omen. The omen looked like a person wearing a Goron tunic. Link stepped up to the person. Then the omen turned around. Link stared at this familiar face for awhile before he spoke, "Hey. It's been a long time."

"Three years,"

"Well, what was this, Toray?"

"These were two monsters I created for boss combat. I.I thought that if I trained with boss types it would be easier to surpass you. But the only flaw was that I couldn't beat both of them at the same time. It was very frustrating. Link did you know what happened in these last few years?"

"Yes, I saw your training. How did Malon and Pamela take the news."

"They were both sad, but I think Malon took it worse. She was in tears for three days. Link, I just had the perfect plan. Link; let's join the fighting tournament. Link versus Toray. It would be perfect," Toray said, beaming. Link nodded. It would be a great fight. Link was going to truly see how good Toray had grown to be.

Link and Toray left the boss room and headed for the ranch. Link saw that the field hadn't changed that much. Link and Toray arrived at the ranch three hours later. Link almost open, the door to the ranch house where Malon, Pamela, and Talon lived, but he didn't. Link knew that if he opened that door that after the shock was over that they wouldn't ever speak to him. Link stopped. He looked for an easier way but he didn't find one. He squashed all of his fears and opened the door.

Chapter Fifteen: The Match of the Century

"Every body stand up and applaud the finalist!" the announcer yelled with enthusiasm. Link was waiting for Toray in the waiting room. Toray walked in and flopped down on the nearest couch. He looked at Link and his face turned into a huge smile. "Nice outfit. It nice and creative." Toray was always joking around about Link’s green Kokiri tunic, but Link could tell that Toray really meant it. Malon met Link outside the waiting tent and wished him luck. Malon then ran back to Pamela and they got into an argument.

"Go Link! You can beat him!" Malon yelled. Then Pamela slyly stepped in front of Malon.

"Malon, get a grip on reality. Link can’t beat Toray. Remember last years amazing match. Toray beat Moony. You know how strong Moony was." Pamela voice rose when she said that.

"Did you forget that Link has beaten Moony twice. First he beat him in one hit!" Malon yelled back.

"Link will lose, Malon!"

"Link will humiliate Toray!"

Then Zelda walked from the stands to meet Malon. She gracefully strode to where Malon stood.

"Malon, is it? I agree with you. Link is dangerous when he is mad, as we all have known. But when he fights with his feelings he can’t be beat."

"Princess Zelda! I’m…I’m honored!"

"Don’t think of me as nothing but a royal figure. If I were you I’d be even happier. It will be good for me to get a chance to meet the one who has Link’s emotions." Zelda turned with a smile on her face and watched Link and Toray laughing with Moony standing with them.

"Zelda, if you want me to step aside from Link so he can fall for you I’ll do it," Malon whispered, in a very sad tone.

"Girl, I couldn’t come between Link and you. Besides, I couldn’t fall in love with my brother. Look at my brother, he is so happy. I could never stop that," Zelda said.

Link, Toray, and Moony were laughing and joking when the announcer made the announcement that would probably change Link and Toray’s lives forever.

"Now will the two phenomenal fighters please come to the ring!" The announcer yelled. Toray walked out and received a thunderous applause. Then Link walked out. He took in a bigger applause than Toray, and he for once representing all of Hyrule. He wore a blue Zora tunic, black Gerudo long underwear, red Goron boots, and his green Kokiri cap. Zelda had given him his Skid Shield and a new sword that resembled his Gilded Sword. It was called the Faith Sword. Link stepped up to Toray. They stared at each other for a long time while the announcer spoke. Then the sound every one had been waiting for came. The whistle blew.

Link drew his sword, and Toray unsheathed his sword. They were both staring at each other, the way that Donovan and Link were before the incident. Link and Toray walked around each other, and they were still keeping the staring war on. Link then stopped and went into a deep thought. He summoned an aura around his sword, and he sensed Toray do the same. Toray then struck, and when Link and Toray’s swords hit, a flash of light and a thunderous sound filled every ones ears. Link and Toray got into a fierce exchange of swings; neither were doing any damage. Link was still in deep thought, and he was blocking Toray’s shots by his senses. Link then started an attack combo. He struck Toray’s sword and spun to where he and Toray were side to side. Then he did a back flip, trying to hit Toray in his back. Toray sensed the attack, and he rolled forward to dodge the attack. Link and Toray rushed at each other again and Toray swung upwards as Link swung down. Link had put more force in his hit, and he made Toray drop his sword at impact.

Link then dropped his sword, and he and Toray got into a fistfight. Link felt the wind of Toray’s punches, and threw strong punches back. Link then ducked and spun to get close enough to hit Toray in the face. His technique failed because he was nailed in the stomach. Toray then kicked him in the face and waited for Link to get up. Link stood up and jumped on his toes to get ready for a fast exchange of punches. Link threw ten punches and Link then had a dangerous plan, Din’s Fire. He stood up and charged the attack, and when he had the attack, he pointed his dragon fist down at the ground, and let the attack begin its destruction. The fire grew rapidly, engulfing everything in its path. When the attack cleared, Toray and his shield were cover in ash, and the ring was gone.

"Not again!" Link yelled. He was overenthusiastic again. The judges decided to allow the fight to continue, but without any out of the ring calls. Link and Toray smiled at the call and continued the fight. Link picked up his sword, and the both jumped to attack. The swung in mid-air, and were thrown back towards the crowds. The landed on the stand poled opposite each other and jumped off the walls at each other. The met again in mid-air. They continued swinging and blocking while they fell, Then they both teleported backwards. Link and Toray then grinned.

"Link, you are an idiot," Toray said, "You torched the whole ranch!"

"I did?" Link said skeptically, "I know I torched the ring away, but the…entire… ranch." Link then notice all the charred supporters.

"Sorry!" Link yelled, "Toray, let’s get ready to end this."

Link picked up his sword and place the hilt at his sweet spot when the crowd stood up on their feet and yelled at the top of their lungs for more. "Link, Keep going, and fight from your heart not your skills like your sister said. Link, fight for every one. And please don’t forget me," Link heard Malon yell. Link felt himself go red, and a smirk went across his face. He was going to win for her,

"Get focused, Link! Time to beat you." Those were Toray’s final words. Toray extended his hand out and rolled his eyes. His eyes were then hollow, and he was yelling. A faint outline of a sword appeared in front of him. He then yelled at the top of his lungs and Fierce Deity’s Double Helix sword appeared. Link eyes grew wide and he was at the point of yelling. Link then stepped up and rushed at Toray. Link swung and his and Toray’s swords locked together. Link and Toray were trying to push each other’s swords to the ground. Link was able to overpower Toray and when Toray’s sword hit the ground Link did a spin kick that nailed Toray in the face. Toray jumped up and started to try to find Link’s weakness. Toray leaped at Link and tried to hit his hand. Link looked at Toray’s arm muscles, and he realized that Toray was going to do a downward slice. Link jumped back when Toray did it, and Link jumped on Toray’s Helix Sword. Link swung his sword at Toray’s head, and Toray teleported to the other side of the grounds. Link then got into a fierce mid-range fight. Link and Toray were like flames that were intent on burning brighter. Toray jumped back, rushed at link, and swung upwards, and Link followed suit. When the attack was finished, Link and Toray had slashed each other across the face. Link felt some blood ooze down his face. Then Link and Toray started to attack each other, and then Link decided to finish it. Link did a thrust at Toray’s stomach, and Toray swung at Link’s chest. Link and Toray stood there for about 10 seconds before falling over. They both landed their attacks. The referee started his count and Toray and Link were out cold. When the referee got to "Five" Link started to stand. The sound around him were extended and he felt the battle sickness you fell when regaining consciousness. "Man, this feels good! I love this feeling of complete power. This rush is the best." Link thought in his mind. He started thinking. He and Toray were doing their jobs. They were two warriors doing what they are supposed to do. They were destined to fight. Link also thought about his priorities. He had been fighting for one person this whole time. He had been fighting for Malon. He had been falling for her since the Marauders. However, as he got on one knee, he looked at his outfit. He was representing all of Hyrule. From the Zoras to the Gorons, to the Gerudo, and to the Hylians, he was fighting for all of them. He wouldn’t lose. He was going to use all of his remaining strength. He looked at Toray. He was way ahead of him, and the count was at "seven." Link then raised his head and started to rise, very slowly. Then, to everyone’s surprise, Link saw Toray straighten himself out, and then fall over, back on the ground. Link was breathing heavily when Toray fell for what seemed like and eternity. Link stared at his good friend as he straighten up and he heard Toray whispering to himself with a smirk on his face, saying, "I tried my best, and I realize what Moony said. The best always have someone better then them." Toray coughed up some blood and passed out.

As the count got to nine, Link got on his feet with an intense burning sensation in his legs which spread all over his body, and just as the referee said "Ten!" Link threw his shoulders back with all his remaining strength and energy and spirit, and threw a fist in the air, triumphantly yelling, "I Won! I WON! I WON!"

Chapter Sixteen: The Rising of Fierce Deity

Link was still jumping up and down in the remains of the ring; the stands were clearing onto the ground to celebrate the match. Toray and Link had been given some special Gold potion. Link and Toray stared at each other and in a roar of thunder they knocked the bottles of potion together, and drank it a fast as they could. Link felt an amazing energy rush. The feeling of victory was the one thing that kept Link standing. Although the golden potion had left link without any broken bones and any life-threatening open cuts to his organs, every scar and scratch on his body burned with the rush of wind and the bodies of other people bumping into him.

"Man, that feels good!" Link said to him self. It was the feel of victory. Link turned around to see Malon. He smiled deeply, but the smile was gone when she slapped the mess out of him.

"That’s for scaring me, and this is for being you," Malon told him. Then she kissed him again, and Link was ready. He and Malon were in the middle of the crowd, on the best day of Link’s life. After all the parties and outburst were done, and all the fireworks were done, Link then figured out why he had come this far.

Three days after the tournament Toray and Link headed out of Lon- Lon ranch. Link had left a rose for Malon on the saddle of Epona. Link and Toray sat on the east wall, and calculated the distance from the wall to Lake Hylia. Link then got on his feet and warmed up. Him and Toray had set up thirty hurdles and got a routine ready. They were going to sprint from the wall to Lake Hylia, jumping each hurdle. Link and Toray finished stretching and got ready to run. When the sun rose they took off. Toray was still struggling to keep up with Link on land, and had grass stains all over his tunic. To Link, this was like a practice run. Link had finished his run to Lake Hylia, and started to swim to the central island. Link was half way there when Toray was right next to him. Link had forgotten that Toray was like a Zora in the water. Link and Toray had made it to the island at the same time, and they finished in a tie. Link was slightly winded, and Toray was exhausted.

Link shook his Skid shield and wiped dust off its beautiful metal covering. Link then had a fun idea.

"Toray, ever seen a skidder ride, Link-style?" Toray looked over at Link and stood up. He shook his head and sat in an attentive stance. Link swung the shield gently, as a discus thrower gets ready to throw. Link charged with every swing and on the final on he released the shield. When the shield began to return from the original swing Link prepared to do his second favorite part. He ran up and jumped long and high and landed on the still moving shield. He swung on the shield as his shield was shaking slightly from the winds and the waves. Link was proud because he swung it hard enough to make it sort of glide over the water, something he never did. Link jumped slightly forward and landed on the tip flipping it forward and the Skidder flipped in Links hand and Link pushed the shield up and down to land on land. He landed and he kept skidding. He skidded of the Marine Research Lab ledge, flipped the shield over his head, and flipped with it. He landed back on the shield, did some fancy foot dancing on the board, and got ready for his greatest freestyle move. He caught a huge wave and jump with the board, he set himself horizontally with the board and started spinning. He landed and made a laying-down skim, splashing water, creating a very refreshing mist that sprinkled all over Link.

Link skimmed back over to Toray and dismounted off the shield. The water-covered Link kick-flipped the shield up and onto his back. Toray could only look at his shield and wonder how Link did that. He stood up and grabbed Link’s shield.

"Link, that…was…incredible. How did you do that?" Toray was lifting the shield into the air when he said that.

"I’ll teach you someday, but you can teach yourself with that shield." Link shook the water off.

"That’s my game!" Toray yelled so everyone could hear.

"Link, I noticed that before the tourney, you would go on top of the ranch roof and hum a song. Why did you hum that song?"

"It was a song that a very important person taught me a long time ago. I had lost the song with my emotions, when I was recreated. Donovan made me lose to much." Link looked at the other skidders as his voice faded.

"Link you have been hiding something from me. Who is Donovan? I want to know the story that you keep hiding." Toray sat with his feet in the water and got ready to listen.

"Okay, I can’t hide it any longer. This is my story. It all started with…" Link flooded with sudden flashbacks. He remembered the beginning when he met Avon and met Donovan. He remembered the feelings that were released in his journey. He remembered his first ever Hyrule skidding, and his first falling. He tried to forget the big Bremen and it long and tiring chores. He remembered winning the Goron boxing competition. He frown when he explained his times being chased Ruto. Link felt all of his emotions come back. He remembered the Skidding world championship, and he could never forget the attack on the Skid Stadium. Link can still see the smoke and wreckage after Donovan struck and Link could see Donovan’s silhouette and the glowing blue eyes. Link felt all of his memories before the Donovan fight. He some how could remember the Donovan fight.

Toray was standing and he looked at the ground as link finished. Link stood up and jumped in the lake. He looked at the sky and tried to hide his emotions. He swam back to shore and dried him self off.

"Link, there’s more. What happened before, what made you return to Hyrule. Why?" Toray asked too many questions.

"You’re just never satisfied, are you?" link asked sarcastically. Toray frowned at the thought. "Well, back down Memory Lane. Okay it all started with Navi. One day unexpectedly a young Kokiri fairy came to my house, and it made me a normal Kokiri. I was known through my first home as the ‘Boy without a Fairy’. The moment Navi came my life changed. I was on a quest to get into the sacred realm, and to destroy the evil Ganondorf. I traveled through time, made many friends, and even changed the world. But when it was all over, my friend and Fairy, Navi, left. So I left Hyrule to search for her. For three months I traveled through the world, and I wandered to find Navi. Then I ran into two rouge fairies. They were part in the stealing of Epona and they were the reasons for my second big adventure. The land of Termina was my second stop. I had to help destroy the moon and stop the dangers of the demon mask, Majora’s Mask. Majora’s Mask was a tough fight until I was forced to use truly desperate matters. I had to use the most dangerous mask in the world. I had to use the Fierce Deity Mask. The power of the mask was able to bring the demon force Majora’s Mask down to its knees. Then I left Termina. My last adventure was in a wooded area. That’s all I will tell you." Link sat in the grass as he finished his story. "That is my story."

"Link, Let’s go to the future. I want to fight this Fierce Deity." Toray waited for an answer.

Link turned around and faced the Hyrule main land. "Let’s Go!"

Toray and Link swam back to the mainland and played a song to Pierre. Toray put his guitar away, when he took his next step his eyes bulged, and he let out a piercing scream. He arched his back forward and clutched his forehead. The water swirled and churned, and the sky darkened to a greenish-black hue. Link tried to get his gold potion out and get near Toray, but when he got near he was struck by an intense shock. Link cradled his damaged and scorched hand and called out Toray’s name. Link could only stand and watch in horror as Toray let out another deafening scream and his body was engulfed in a red energy ball. The rising energy dueled with a brilliant blue light that rose from Toray, and the two energies formed two separate balls and they clashed together in the sky. The clouds that formed parted and the dark blue light came and engulfed the blood-red energy ball and the ice-blue energy ball, and the dark blue light rushed down and struck Toray in his arched back. Toray was in a doubled-over position and his screaming had ceased. Link tried to talk but all sound had stopped. Link had felt this stillness and silence before. Time had stopped and the lights signaled that one entity had split into two. Link slumped down to the ground when the sounds came back and the movement returned. Link stared at the vision before him. He saw Toray with an arm sticking out of his back, and he saw a dark blue light erupt from Toray. The arm in Toray’s back pulled out and now a complete torso appeared in Toray’s back. Link unsheathed his sword because he was going to kill this blue force. Then the torso separated from Toray and it stood eye-to-eye with Link. Link froze in fear and anger, for Fierce Deity stood before him.

Toray regained his health after he drank the gold potion and he pulled out his Guardian’s Sword. His eyes were red and all of the objects around him had a red glow, and his sword was pulsing with energy.

Deity did the same. Link was glad to see Toray standing after his ordeal. Toray and Deity rushed at each other and their swords clashed like thunder and lightning, and every shot they made their energy increased. Link felt useless in a battle like this. The water near the battlefront receded and the sky closed up again. The pure will of the fighters is what was lighting the grounds. The light from those to kept getting brighter with every shot they made, and they fought like true warriors. Link stood there and realized what the old man said when he said, "The Waltz of Warriors is what those chosen one’s lives are around for, and it is the fall of evil reign" This fight was the prime example of a true waltz of warriors. The flashes and clashes grew and with a great flash of pure white light, it was all over.

Deity stood in the same position as what he did when he beat the red fighter in the future. Link looked for Toray and all he saw was a crater and his sword. Link held his sword tightly as he scanned for Toray. Then reality struck. Deity had used an energy disk to blow Toray away. Toray was dead. Link rushed at Deity in blind anger, and Deity saw it coming. He leaped to the side and teleported on top of a nearby tree. Then he vanished.

Link ran from the spot. He for dear life and he couldn’t stop. He had seen many die. He had felt a lot, but the loss of a friend like Toray was enough to drive anyone mad. Link ran to the first he could think of, and the first he would talk to for comfort and help besides Zelda. Link ran for Malon. He turned at the entrance of the ranch and fell in a pile of hay. The anger of this strike drove him over the edge. Malon saw Link and Link felt a little relief. Malon and Link embraced and Link felt the pain seep away. Malon could tell that something extremely devastating had happened.

"Link, I know something is wrong, where’s Toray?" Malon felt Link shake and Link stepped away and lowered his head. Pamela had walked over at the mention of Toray and she awaited the news.

"Toray…he’s…he’s dead. There was nothing I could do." Link turned away and the sorrow and anger returned.

"Link, you’re lying! You and Toray are playing a joke on Malon and me. He… He…Please tell me you’re lying, Link, Please," Pamela held tears in her eyes as she said that. Link looked away from Pamela, and Pamela hit Link in the stomach to make Link answer. She hit Link in the stomach many times. Link didn’t feel any pain. "Please…Please…answer me, Link."

"Pamela, Malon, Toray died fighting, and he wouldn’t want you to worry about his death. He died like a warrior. That was his dream. Pamela, I want you to put this sword in the middle of the field so we can remember Toray."

"Link, tell me. Was it a great fight?" Pamela barely choked out her last comment. Malon could only cry quietly and softly, and Link could only shake in his pain and anger. "DEITY! Pamela, Malon, I will kill the man who did this for you and in memory of my great friend. Deity, I’m coming to finish you off!"

"NO!" Malon was now crying steadily as she ran up to Link. "Link, you can’t leave me waiting again. I waited too long and I don’t want to spend another day waiting for you to come back. I can’t wait to see your face in my dreams every night." Malon was a sight to see while looking at Link in her angle.

"Link, she’s right." Link snapped around and he was face to face with Zelda, "Link, there is something I need to tell you. Link this wasn’t unexpected. I strayed away from Toray because the Sages had foreseen it. I nearly broke down in tears when I saw you and Toray having fun. I knew that when that day would happen, it would leave you down."

"What are you talking about?" Link asked. Had all of Link’s friends set him and Toray up?

"Link, this will be hard to take. Many of the sages you were protecting are not in full control. The Grand Sages control the magic of Hyrule. They are the highest in the chain of command, and they can overrule any sentence that the king or even the Sages give off. Link, they have been planning everything, so that they could have the best story line. They want everything to have been part in the perfect story. They story they choose was your quest to save Hyrule from Ganondorf. But that story wasn’t enough. They scripted everything you did, and they made sure their plans succeeded, no matter what the cost may be. They held all of the lower Sages up in temples and had me disguised as the warrior Sheik, but the clothes weren’t enough. They fused me with a young nearly dead warrior. Then they made the Timecube. The Timecube was made to follow our timelines and record our history. The flaw in this plan was that the cube was made into a time-travel devise. That was my role."

"Zelda, are you telling me that all I’ve been through was a lie!?" Link raised his voice as the reality struck, "Zelda, if this is true then…"

"Link they are too powerful to stand up to. No one knows their names, and they are connected to every one. There were some glitches. You return to Hyrule was a glitch. They expected you to travel west into an illusion village and die. In addition, they weren’t planning on you being recreated. They wanted Hyrule to falter. They just wanted a great story so they decided to kill off your friend. The plan kept coming unraveled by Malon. You two love each other. That was a mistake in the eyes of the Grand Sages. They have sent many suitors already. They were infuriated when Deity sent you back. They need you dead. So they sent me to kill both of you."

"Zelda, is that all?" Link’s face was down and hidden but then he rose his head and he had a smirk on his face. His eyes held the same anger. "If that is all, then I have nothing else to talk about. I am tired of being used. Every one relies on Link to heal their problems. I am only around to be a puppet. My role is to be used and used. Every were I go I am betrayed. They only have me around to be hurt. Malon, are you one of them. Don’t answer. I trust you. You never used me. Zelda asks for something all the time, but she has other’s in her heart. Now you’re the assassin of the Sages. Great performance, Zelda, I actually thought that I could trust you."

"Link, I came here to hide from them. I could never kill my flesh and blood. Link, you have to believe me!" Zelda was trying to get through to Link.

"Zelda, I’ll be there for you, but I don’t see why they want to ruin my life." Link turned towards the door, "I will go forward in time and I will find out myself. I will stop all of the lies, and I will free myself from the Waltz of Warriors. I will go back to my time. I will go seven years into the future."

"Link, please don’t go forward in time." Malon was now getting back to her painful pleas, "Link I can’t risk seeing you die. I can’t…Link stay here. Please."

"Malon, I would do anything for you. Your in my past, present and future. But I have to go." Link pulled Malon into a tight embrace, "Malon, if you can wait for just a little longer then you won’t have to wait anymore. If you lose trust in me than you move on, BUT I WILL COME BACK."

"Link," Malon closed her eyes and nodded.

"Link, how will you get to the Temple of legends?"

"The Temple of Legends?" Link let go of Malon and scratched his head, and he finally answered with, "I don’t know."

"Maybe I can help out." The shadow of a tall man appeared and Link turned to see Moon Strike. Moony walked up to Link and he pulled out a blue piece of paper. On it many white lines and it had many notes, with a picture of a very advanced device. "This device is called a flyer. It can hold one person in long distance, but two in short. It’s is fast in the sky, but it is not maneuverable. The flyer hasn’t any weapons, and it cant take too much. Link, it is the fastest way to the temple."

"Moony, I think I can just play the song and I will get transported there. Let me try." Link dug in his bag, searching for his prized ocarina. He gently pulled it out of the bag and played the song that changed his fate. He played every note in the correct order, and he even swayed with the songs dark and gloomy beat. The ocarina glowed and shook, and the song died away into the soft wind. Link stood there, no teleporting to the Temple of Legends.

"Link, after you used the Timecube the Grand Sages-"Zelda started to say something.

"Don’t tell me. The power-hungry Sages moved the temple and made a spot that I have to play the song on to open the temple."

"Link, how could you possibly know that?" Zelda looked confused.

"The Sages have made everything else I do follow this same storyline. I see the plots they set up now." Link walked over to the exit of the ranch and signaled Moony to come. They stared back longingly and waved. Link stared into Malon’s eyes and wished that this endless waltz would end. He wished that the unbelievable pain would stop. He was going to destroy the Grand Sages, and then he would destroy the root of his troubles. He gazed at the sky as his determination reached its end. "Good bye. I’ll be back!" Link yelled back.

"Link, we will go to the top of Death Mountain and pick up the flyer. Then we will ride to the edge of the forest to refuel, then you will ride into the endless blue." Moony explained the plan and still marveled at the current genius of the flyer, "Dragon fly over the endless blue, but then we will put one weapon on at the checkpoint. The weapon will weigh the flyer down and eventually it will over heat. The next phase is the Desert of the Eternal Rest. The sand stretches for as far as the eye can see, but sooner or later it will end. If you can find the spot where some great warriors died, then play that dark melody you played at the ranch. Knowing you, I say that if you crash in the desert, you probably will die of starvation; or you might die from thirst. The worst is that you meet a true Gerudo."

"A true Gerudo?" Link knew Gerudos lived in the valley but what and where could he find true Gerudos.

"The true Gerudos are like the ones you know, but they will try to kill you. They will slash away, even when you go unconscious. And their figure is enough to throw any fighter off." Moony and Link started walking to death mountain, "Link, let’s run there. Walking will take to long."

Chapter Seventeen: The Flyer, the Sea, and the Desert of the Eternal Rest

"Link, are you ready. I can only direct you. You will have to manipulate the flyer." Moony and Link continued their climb up Death Mountain, falling down frequently.

"Moony, this sucks!" Link yelled as he tore his clothes while climbing. The mountain stood tall and it’s menacing peak kept calling to Link, calling for another desperate soul. Link kept wandering up the mountain so that he could get the flyer and rip through time to save the future. "Moony, where’s Sheik?"

"Sheik left when the phenomenon happened, the one over the lake. He ran out in a huge rage. I don’t know where he went." Moony climbed over another ledge and Link heard his shout in joy. Link sped up and looked over the ledge to see the thing that Link climbed up the mountain of death to get. The flyer stood with it’s beautiful wings and blue center. The side had a golden ledge that could hold another person. The main person had a small cockpit to fly it in.

"Wow! Come on! We need to leave right away! I want to get to the Temple of Legends." Link jumped into the cockpit and closed the door. Moony protested by saying that he doesn’t know how to fly it. Link turned the flyer on and sat down. The wings gathered power, and the screen flashed before him. Avon jumped out from behind Link’s shield and stood on Link’s shoulder. The flyer steadily rose. The screen showed that someone had gotten into the spare compartment. The flyer gained the strength and rose high into the air.

"Link, how do you know what to do? Well, anyway, fly to the edge of the Kokiri forest and land at the golden platform." Link grasped the controls and focused his mind. He pressed forward on the controls and sent the flyer into an intense acceleration. The air whipped against glass. Link flew into the blue and white swirl, and he focused on the path. They flew for an hour when a golden mark appeared in Moony’s view. He yelled for Link to stop. Link gently pulled back on the controls, and let the flyer hover on the golden platform.

Link and Moony jumped away from the flyer. Link strolled over to the edge of the platform and sat on the bench. The ground glowed gold, and the sky was blue. Link wished that Hyrule were like this every day. Moony called Link over so that Link could hear his next orders.

"Okay, we made it this far without dieing, so the flyer works. Now you will have to survive the rest of the way on your own. The path ahead is the sea known as the Endless Blue. The sea has no islands, so you will have to pray that you don’t crash in a spot where you can’t swim to shore. Hopefully there is enough fuel for you to cross the Endless Blue without the threat of a fuel-shortage." Moony then stopped to catch his breath so he could go on. "After crossing the Endless Blue, set your coordinates to point 005.003.112.990. That will put you on course for the Temple. Crashing in the sea is bad, but a crash in the Desert of the Eternal Rest will leave you dead. I will almost bet that if you crash there then you will die. I have taken the second person carrier off and put on a weapon. You seem to be an expert at manipulating the flyer so I don’t think that you will need me to explain the controls. The armaments I attached will overheat the system, so extensive use will cause a crash. That is all. Any questions?" Moony stood in front of Link.

"Moony, did you know about the Grand Sages?" Link asked unexpectedly.

"Yes, Sheik told me a great deal about them. Impa even told me about them. Their ideals are sickening. Changing peoples lives for their own sick purposes. I heard what you said about them. They must be stopped. They even tried to kill me. They have been using a messenger to kill people. Zelda, Impa, Sheik, Toray, and me started a resistance against the Grand Sages. The other Sages, like Darunia, Saria, and Nabooru have been attempting to destroy the Grand Sages. They were always one step ahead of us. They killed the leader. They planned the death of Toray. They just didn’t plan on that death being brought on by their worst fear. I hope that we still have the strength. We have you, and if you die out there, we have Zelda’s magic, and Sheik’s physical talents. We’ll hold out okay, I guess."

"The Grand sages fear Fierce Deity, huh. They should be fearing me!" Link turned and ran to the flyer’s cockpit, "Is it ready yet?" Moony nodded. "I’ll be back in seven years. Just keep holding out ‘till I return. Then I will finish Deity and the Grand Sages. Then you guys won’t have to cry again!" Link pressed the controls to the flyer, and the cockpit closed and Link sped of into the Endless Blue.

Link pushed the flyers limits in speed so that the water would shoot waved up behind the flyer. Link’s mind burned with anger and questions. He knew that Toray became influential; but he didn’t know that Toray was the leader of a private rebellion. If Toray was ever recreated, Link would have millions of questions. Even though Link thought about getting answers from Toray, he knew the sad fact, Toray is dead, and he’s never coming back.

The water rippled and churned, Link’s fingers burned under the strain and tension. The surface of the endless blue was scared with great peaks, probably the horns of dragons. Link kept his eagle-like gaze fixed on the horns. The waters ahead were to common. The trip was long, and Link began to get hungry. Three days past, and Link could barely stay awake. The Endless Blue showed no signs of ending, and the cockpit was as hot as a furnace. The similar signs Link saw were staying the same until the fifth day. The horns grew close together, and the tails started to form. Link got the weapon ready. The dragons rose steadily, and the Dragons were merged together. Avon rose slightly, and he faced the merging Dragons. They crushed themselves to one being, and the fusion was marked by a flash of light. The weapons heated up, and Link’s fingers burned in wait. The light faded away, and a large crystal-shaded orb stood in the center of the chaos. The orb shrank and expanded, and a red eye-shaped light kept glowing from the orb. The side opened up, and a reptile, covered in water emerged from the orb, and the reptile slithered to the flyer.

"Boss, I think I have seen that before, and I think you have, too. Boss, isn’t that Volvagia?" Link shook his head, and prayed he was right. Avon flew out of the flyer to get a closer look. He flew at the monster, and he ran back after a matter of seconds. He came back and couldn’t stay quiet, "Boss, that was one of the dragons, the ones that are similar to the so called Volvagia. That is the guardian of the Endless Blue, known as Ascension! This is a fairly take-able dragon, but in the flyer, it will take everything you got."

"Let’s try and break through! We burst it with twelve missiles, then we breakthrough the wall of fire. Let’s Go!" Link fired the missiles, and tried as hard as he could to keep the flyer steady. The power of the missile firing caused the flyer to go into a steep downward roll. Link pulled up, and even prayed, but the Endless Blue seem to get closer and closer. Link closed his eyes and waited for the inevitable. The Flyer fell, and fell, and fell, and right before it crashed into the water, it all stopped. The flyer rose sharply into the air, and was swung around in the air. Link’s eyes snapped open, and he fired another round of missiles. Link knew that the monster had Link, and it was punishing the flyer. Link heard the sounds of explosions and the ear killing roar of Ascension, and felt the sickness of a mid-air battle, and he even smelled the gases released from all of the explosions. He broke free from Ascension’s grip, and weaved in and out of the strikes the dragon made in retaliation. The wall of fire made by the missiles started to fade. Link pushed forward hard, and he saw the wall close around him. The heat was unbearable, and the vision was gone. Link closed his eyes, and when he opened them, he was flying away from Ascension. Ascension chased the flyer, and Link burned across the water. Link raced until the blue sea started to disappear. The Desert was right ahead, and Link’s day finally started to get better. The flyer was making weird noises, and the flyer’s engine heat started to burn through metals, and Link felt like passing out. The Flyer’s engine coughed, while Ascension chased after him. The flyer’s engine coughed and died.

Link fell towards the sand, and the flyer started to break apart in mid-air. The sands came closer and closer, while the sea faded away. The flyer was a foot away when Link opened the cockpit and jumped for dear life. He landed in the sand and the flyer landed a short distance. The blast threw Link through the air, and he fell on a boulder. The pain and shock surged through Link’s body. He passed out.

The sand blew gently, and the Gerudos walked around the ruins of the machine. They tried to put it back together, but it was too hard. The leader wiped he forehead off. She search for the pilot of the machine, hoping that the man who could fly the machine would be her husband.

Link felt his blood pulse through several opened wounds. He felt tired, and thirsty, and his stomach was shriveled. Avon flew over his head, and Link opened his eyes for the first time in months. The sand blew in his scars, so every cut and bruise burned. He laid on his back, and felt pain pulse through his body. He lifted his head slowly, and tried to stand straight up. He used his sword as a staff, and he limped towards the wreckage. The smoke still lifted, and the smell of destruction hung in the air. Link turned away and listened to the sounds of the desert. The sounds of the fire, the wind, the song…The song? Link limped over to the song, and followed the song. The desert stretch for miles, but the song was what link followed.

The young hero walked in the Desert of the Eternal Rest for two weeks. All of his limits were pushed. He couldn’t talk to his fairy because his throat was too dry to talk. He was a lot thinner, and he was drenched in his own sweat and blood. He felt he was being followed, but the insufferable pain and weakness was enough to keep him busy. He fell to his knees, and stood up again. The heat was really killing him. He couldn’t take one more day of this. He looked at the sand, and he saw a woman’s figure in the distance. She was in the same path that he was following. She walked up to Link and put a soft hand on his face.

"Young and handsome traveler, are you the brave one who flew the machine over the Endless Blue?" She was incredibly beautiful, and her curves were enough to throw any man off. She placed her face real close to Link’s. Link nodded slowly, but he tried his best to keep his cool. He couldn’t fall for this desert girl, he was going to keep Malon. She started talking in his ear, "Why don’t you come with me, and be my husband. Anyone brave enough to go into this desert alone is strong. I love a strong man. Come with me, we’ll give you water, food, and I’ll give you much, much more."

"Wa…ter…food…" Link felt relief when he said those words. But his heart was Malon’s. "I thank you for your offer, but I am on an intense quest, and I can’t give that up. I have to save my home, so I have to go." Link stood up and walked towards the dark melody again. The woman stood up and she ran in front of Link.

"I am a respected leader, and you won’t even come back with the most beautiful woman in the desert. You are a fool. I demand that you come with me!" Link continued walking, and She could only stand there. All of a sudden, she pulled out two custom blades, and Link knew what he was in for. "You coward, now you will feel true pain."

Link flipped his sword out and the Gerudo rushed. Link was too weak, and the Gerudo was easily able to get Link even more tired. She fought magnificently, and Link could only block. She had Link beat, and Link just fought with whatever strength he had left. She overtook him, and she was able to slash him easily. She caught him across the chest, and he fell on his back. She stood over him, and Link’s vision was blurry. Avon floated gently over his head, and Link heard everything. He even heard his own heartbeat. The sun blinded Link, and the woman walked away from her prey.

Link heard the dark melody, and he reached down fo his ocarina. He was too weak, and he couldn’t hold on any longer. He couldn’t breathe. He was going die while playing the song that sealed his fate. He blew into the ocarina, and the darkness of the song parted the sand. The song kept going and going. The dark melody kept going and a light melody came with it. Link looked at the effect, and he saw everything. He was covered in a swirling cloud. He could see the heroes of Hyrule in the cloud. He felt himself lift up, and he saw all of the visions of his friends and what was left of his family. The swirls showed what was going on. He could see everything. He couldn’t die. The dark and light melodies merged. Link finally knew. The merged song was the Waltz of Warriors. He played with his last breaths, and the cloud vanished. The earth shook and rumbled, and the sand in front of Link rose. He saw the sand fall from the thing, and he realized everything. He, coincidentally, had played the Waltz of Warriors in the exact right spot. The Temple of Legends rose and opened up. Link wanted to see more but he passed out again.

Chapter Eighteen: The Waltz of Warriors

The heat kept warming up the person lying on the bed. He was covered in scars and sand, and if you stayed around him, you could feel his pain. This man was brought into the temple wearing a green cap, and a Kokiri tunic. The medical staff worked hard to keep the man alive, and the keeper of the temple was out of the newly invented golden potion. The man slowly opened his eyes for the first time in five days.

"Where…am…I?" Link forced the words through his dry throat. The maid-woman walked slowly over to Link. She did a weird movement. Link attempted to stand, but his weakened legs gave way. He fell to the ground, and the maid picked him up and sat him on the bed. Link felt like an infant, and the maid was like the mother he never met. Link stood up and he picked up a staff. The maid stood in his way.

"Sir Link, please, you must wait until the Keeper brings the gold potion!" Link brushed her aside and limped to the hallway. The place was wide and tall, and on the beautifully crafted blue marble walls were framed paintings of the hero’s he saw in the archives. Link started walking to the far wall, where all of the light was. There were many people strolling around the temple, and they all walked towards the sound of the song. Link walked with them, and as he bumped into people, they would do the same gesture. Link walked for about three minutes until he entered a room that all of the prayers did the same gesture. Link walked to the front, where a Sheikah stood, back turned to Link. Link leaned his staff against the blue marble, and tapped the Sheikah on the back.

"Hmm," The man grunted as he turned around. Link smiled for the first time in days, Sheik’s masked face stood there, "Link, I see that you have woken. It is good to see you alive. I know what you’re here for, and I want to help you use it. But, until the mourning, the Timecube is unusable until the mourning."

"Well, that is straight stupid. Sheik, why didn’t you tell me about the Grand Sages?" Link was going to ask this question to everybody.

"Well, I knew that it would be hard for you to take." Sheik turned towards the prayers. "Plus, you never asked."

"I have been lied to since forever!" Link punched the wall. The people glared at Link, and he felt his face go blood red.

"Link, why don’t you go to that room, and go to sleep." Sheik walked Link to the room, and he shut the door.

Link dreamed about the good times of his weird life, and he dreamed about an adventure, where he earned something that means more than all of the money in the world. Link snapped awake, and he found that someone had been trying to break in. He sat up and grabbed his sword. He ran out of his room, then he ran back in to put his tunic back on. He jogged to the main room, where he ran into Sheik. Sheik stood staring into space, still and quiet as always. The room was completely silent, and there was only light from one torch. Link got back around the corner, and flattened against the wall. The conditions usually meant that no good was about to happen. Link peeked around the corner slowly, and Sheik still stared off into space. Link squinted a little, and he noticed a tall, tough-looking, middle-aged man. His dark features were highlighted in the darkness. Sheik turned slowly. Even from the distance, Link saw a look of hatred in Sheik’s eyes.

"Good to see you, Keeper. I came to tell you something." Sheik spoke to the tall man, and the man stood, as if he didn’t hear Sheik.

"Sheik, I felt an intense evil rise weeks ago. The prophecy has come true has it?" The man stepped forward, and you could see his very bleak and plain clothing.

"Sir, the Blue Warrior has arise. He has started attacking innocent people as of three days ago. I came here to tell you some more bad news." Sheik said this as if something way worse. The Keeper looked like he was possessed by a demon. Link had never seen anyone that furious before.

"More bad news! What could be worse than knowing that the worst thing had happened? That demon could kill millions in a week, and you say that you have more bad news! YOU ARE INSANE!" the Keeper made a threatening move towards Sheik. The movements were fast, but Sheik stood in front of the Keeper with a knife at the tall man’s throat. Sheik stood calmly in that position, and Link kept his sneaking position, while nearly cheering at Sheiks great knife move.

"Keeper, Sir, it is not to you advantage to ever threaten me like that again!" Sheik pushed him backwards, and kept the knife in his left hand, " Anyway, the other bad news is that the Red Warrior has died, at the hands of Fierce Deity. BUT YOU KNEW THAT!"

"What are you talking about?" The Keeper stood his ground.

"It took awhile to figure it out. All of your predictions came true. I thought that it was just coincidence that you couldn’t be wrong. Then you made the prediction that the Great War would end when Link and Zelda were born. That led me on to the plot. You are one of the Grand Sages!" Sheik’s grip on the knife tightened. The Keeper smirked and stepped towards Sheik.

"Ah, you figured it out. You found out that I am one of the Grand Sages. I’m impressed. So, what are you going to do now!" The Grand Sage raised his hand into the air.

"I have stood by, watching your…your…game, and I stood quiet. I thought that you would let Link live a normal life after his first adventure. I want you to stop playing games, and I want you to step down. I want you let the people of Hyrule live in true freedom!" Sheik proclaimed.

"Ah, so you want me to ‘stop playing games,’" The Grand Sage was now in a full grin.

"If you want, I will let you kill me, just let everyone else go." Sheik gave the Grand Sage the knife.

"No. I will continue the show. The other’s wouldn’t be happy."

"I am now demanding you to stop."

"Sheik, I wonder how Leanne is." When Keeper said that Sheik snapped. Sheik took him down and choked him. Link ran out from behind the corner. He clutched his sword, and his mind burned. Link was going to start eliminating the Grand Sages now. He got near, and he raised his sword. The blood and adrenaline reached it’s peak, and Link felt anger and pain with every long step he took. The moment he reached the two he aimed his sword at the Grand Sage’s head. Link started to do his final blow, while Sheik continued to choke. Then, without warning, the area lit up and Sheik and Link were sent spiraling out and landing painfully against the cold blue marble. Link jumped up and got into his battle stance. It felt good to be able to move freely in his pose as he did. Then the Sage put his hand up to stop Link.

"Link! I don’t think that you want to kill me. Killing me will lead to the other four Grand Sages striking back. And they will start with the ones who are close to you. I guess Malon and Zelda will have to be slowly tortured until they die. Malon looks like fun. I’m sure the others will have a lot of moments with her," The Keeper said in a nonchalant manner. Link rushed at the Sage and when he struck, the Sage put an energy field up and Link tried his best to push through. "Link, I’m not fighting at full strength. You can’t kill me. If you could, everyone that you loved would die."

"You can kill me, you can torture me, you can continue to control my lost life, but don’t ever think OF HURTING MALON!" Link pushed through the shield, and everything was covered in a blinding flash of light. The light subsided, and Link stood with the tip of the sword touching the ground, behind him stood the Sages arm. The Sage crouched in the pain, and Link rose in pure hatred. "Never underestimate you opponent."

"Link, let’s go. I don’t want you to see his true power just yet." Sheik stepped in front of Link, and he walked to the door. Link followed reluctantly, but he kicked the fallen Sage. Link walked a little ways ahead of Sheik when Sheik turned. The large window in the main room faced an oasis. The sun peeked over the horizon, and the sky changed to a reddish orange color. The Sage arched his back and roared in pain. The dark melody of the Waltz of Warriors echoed through the halls, and the screams of pain from the sage were fierce and alarming. He raised his still attached arm and acted like he was reaching for Link. His face was shaped into a look of ferocity and defeat. He yelled out Link’s name and the ground around him smoked as if on fire. Link stared back, glad that he made this evil feel this pain. He smirked for awhile, but Link felt his face return to it’s now-normal fierce look.

"Any obstacle that stands in my way will be destroyed," Link said.

"Link, do you see the Sages smoking blood. It is said that that blood is bad luck. The blood of a fallen Sage is supposed to curse the recipient until death." Sheik turned around quickly, and walked at a fast pace. When he passed Link, Link heard him say, "Eliminate the enemy, that is our only choice from now on." Link spun around and began to follow Sheik. They walked, and every step they took echoed through the Temple of Legends. Link continued looking forward, never once looking back at the troubled past.

Link and Sheik walked at extremely fast pace. The morning light illuminated the Temple, and a large golden door stood in front of the duo. The door slowly opened when Link pushed it, and Link stepped in. The door squeaked shut behind Link and Sheik, and the lights were dimmed. Link faced the glowing, purple object, and put his hand on the sacred cube that all of time ran through. The Timecube’s surface gleamed beautifully. Link pulled out his sword, but Sheik stood forward.

"Link, the sages and I wanted to give you some special techniques for the battle with Fierce Deity. You do still remember Fierce Deity after all of the talk about the Grand Sages, right?" Sheik’s eyes looked worried. Link nodded. Sheik pulled out a blue and gold sword, and he pulled out a regular iron sword out. "This gold and blue sword is the Sword of Time. It is the most powerful sword ever forged from Hylian hands. It will be essential in the fight against Fierce Deity. Now, I will teach you all of the techniques the Sages wanted me to give you."

Sheik taught Link several techniques like the Love Sparkling White Water attack, from Ruto, the Din’s Fire Beam, given to him by Nabooru, the Goron Fatal Fury Fist, given to him by none other than Darunia, the Sheikah Spiral Sword, given to him by Impa, and the most powerful of the attacks was the Sage Supreme Spirit, which was given to him by all of the Sages. Link practiced all of the techniques thoroughly, and he finally got ready to leave.

"Sheik, you’re a good friend, so if I come back, and your dead, I want to thank you for all of your help," Link turned slowly, and the purple light shined in Link’s eyes. Link took the Sword of Time and shoved it into the Timecube again, and the purple light engulfed him once again, as he spiraled to the new future.

Chapter Nineteen: Life, Love, and the Grand Sages

Link twirled in the purple light, and he could see the mayhem caused by Fierce Deity. He saw countless people dying in the wreckage. Link saw the Guardians stand up to the blue demon, and they were able to hold them off. Link wanted to see what happened with the Grand Sages, but the swirling cloud slowed and stopped. Link found himself standing in the desert, and a pure gold dome stood in front of him. Large sapphires were stuck in the area around the door, and the roof was covered in blue inscriptions. Link walked into the door, and the room was pitch black. There was an eerie chant from ahead, and the footsteps link made echoed far through the space. Link traveled forward until he slammed into a thing. He pushed his hand forward and it went through, but Link’s body was not able to go through. He tried as hard as he could, but he couldn’t force his body through the blind wall. Link calmed himself down, and tried to sense the surroundings. The dark melody of the Waltz of Warriors grew stronger, and the forces around Link were incredibly strong. The silence was deadly, and the it was too dark to see anything.

"LINNNNKKKK!!!" a voice yelled in the eerie darkness, and there was a blue light coming from in front of him. Link jumped backwards, and a beam struck the floor. He dodged left, and he even rolled round to dodge. Blue beams kept flying by Link, and the room finally had light. The blue beams seared by, and Link did all of the evasive moves he could to keep moving. Link felt a beam head straight for his face and he arched his back and neck far back, and when he felt the beam that was heading for his leg. He finished his arched back position and swung into a back flip. He landed and when the beams stopped flying and the lights faded again he centered his mind.

"Something, I don’t know what is heading towards me. From where?" Link tried to figure out where the next attack was going to come from, but the strength was too immense to pinpoint, until a large blue beam shaped like a clawed hand rushed towards Link. Link jumped to the side and pulled his sword firmly by the hilt. The hand looped around and fired three beams at Link. Link dodged the beams easily and tried to slice the hand, and not get hit at the same time. Link made contact with the hand, but his triumph was cut short when he was struck so forcefully in the back that his neck snapped backwards and forwards. Link kicked himself up and regained his fighting pose. He had to be especially aware since the two hands were both destined to kill him. Link ran in-between the two hands, and he looked around. The two hands stood on opposite sides of him, ready to strike, but Link saw something that would change his luck. There was a sword lying three steps in front of him. The hands rushed and Link rolled forward, the hands missed and looped around to the same positions around Link. Link stomped on the hilt of the second sword, and when the two hands rushed, Link put the two sword blades out and when the hands collided, Link’s arms were pointed straight out of his sides, and Link was pushing the hands back. Link drooped both swords, he dropped he hands in the dragon fist position, and before the hands hit, he called upon Din’s Fire. The hands flew backwards and they dissolved.

The space in front of Link lit up and the Keeper of the Temple of Legends stood in front of Link, a sadistic look crossed his evil face. "Link!!!!!!" He called again, and Link just picked up the sword of Time and rushed at the Keeper. He stopped the tip of the blade from striking one inch from the Keeper’s face and he poked the sword forward twice. The sword was blocked by an energy shield, like the one he used before.

"Still harboring that lost arm! I wish you would drop that energy shield and fight me. I can never forgive you. You took away my future before it even started. Why me!?" Link put his sword back in his sheathe, and he was hit by yet another blue energy beam. Link stood up slowly to see five tough lookin old men and one old-as-dirt woman. They all wore silk robes over the same type of plain clothing that the Keeper wore when Link first saw him. They all had a letter over there head.

"Link, as you know we are the Grand Sages. We have been the puppeteers of your life since the beginning. We will keep control until our fun is over. Link why do you hate us?" The woman spoke as if nothing was wrong.

"You have been setting up my life. Other had the right to choose. I can never forgive you for you sins. Why did you choose me?" Link stood his ground in front of his biggest nightmare.

"Link we are your fantasy. We have been doing your favor. Ever since the great war, we have had sympathy for the child of light, and we granted you wish. We observed you telling Saria that your one true dream was to be a hero. So, at the young age you were, you put yourself in the Waltz of Warriors. Therefore, we gave you the perfect setting, along with you finding out about your past, you saved your homeland, and claimed world fame. So we sent you back, so that your legacy could restart, but you left. We didn’t arrange for that. Then you survived Termina, and met the immense power of Fierce Deity." Keeper kept talking. Link felt like taking his other arm.

"Link, You felt that power. It is the only magic we fear. Anything that strong should be killed. We need your help, and you will give it to us." The oldest looking male said in a squeaky voice.

"Shut up! I will not help you! I should let Deity destroy the world. I am no longer a pawn in your sick game. You fear him, when you should be fearing me!" Link tried in vain to push through the energy shield. He regained his pose and stared at the keeper, "You…Monster!"

"Young boy, sit back. If you don’t comply, we will eliminate your woman!" The shortest old male spoke up.

"I won’t do it, and if you touch Malon you’ll be short-armed like you ugly friend over there." Link sat back, but the Sages gathered a blue aura all around Link. They started moaning, and They sparked with golden lightning. There was an intense heat all around Link. There was a moment of silence, then the lightning struck Link and it filled his body with extreme pain. He felt thousands of white hot knives strike him at once. He screamed in agony and he clutched his hands to keep his endurance up. After what seemed like a lifetime, the Grand Sages stopped firing.

"You…You Monsters! (panting) I will make you pay!" Link fell on one knee, and he tried his hardest to stand. That last strike took a lot out of the Hylian hero. "Why did you put me in all of this!?"

"Link, we thought that by bringing forth that demon you would be gone for good, and that we could end our story on Hyrule. Maybe we were wrong to bring Fierce Deity. He was too strong to control, and now we fear that he might try to kill us. He for some reason became more powerful than us. That is something we can’t let happen." The Keeper said. They charged for another Golden Thunder Strike, and Link didn’t feel like giving up. So he got a plan.

"Wait, hold on. I have a proposal." Link stood upright.

"Go ahead." They still charged up the blast while Link started his proposal.

"I have a deal. If I can destroy Fierce Deity, then you will have to step down, and banish yourselves forever!" Link bargained with them. He knew that this plan would end his two enemy problems at the same time.

"hmmmmm" The Keeper Sage thought hard, but the old woman answered.

"We will accept your challenge. If you are somehow able to defeat Fierce Deity, and are able to survive yourself then we will step down. We will even kill ourselves. If you lose or die on your way to the Temple of Time, we will get to destroy Hyrule, and kill all of your friends slowly and painfully." She then started charging up again.

"Deal. When I come back, you’ll be gone." Link turned and got ready to leave the Golden Dome, but he was stopped again.

"Link, don’t take this personally, but we can’t let you leave. We have to insure our survival. Good bye, Link." Keeper had a devilish grin, and the Sages were ready to fire the Golden Thunder Strike again. Link braced himself for impact, and right when they fired and the room lit up, Link felt something thump him in the back, and he was knocked forward, away from the Golden Thunder Strike. He landed hard, but he was able to regroup easily. His eyes were blinded by the light and sudden flashes that seemed not to stop, and his ears were blinded by a man’s pain-stricken yells. The voice sounded so familiar. The attack stopped and a man in a purple cape fell to the ground. Link ran to his side, and stood him up. His hood was over his face, and a golden Sun’s Mask fell to the ground. He kept his head down and pushed Link away.

"Link, seven years ago I asked you if you could remember. You can’t can you. Tell me does this jog your memory." He raised his head a little and several blue strands of hair fell below his hood, "You stand there, no light arrows left. Your foe has the glove of power, and has your anger. You try to hit him, he tries to hit you. You remember his flashing blue eyes, and his form that even you can’t counter. You stand over your woman, and you protect her, while still looking at your foe. You see death and destruction as your foe strikes the Skidder Stadium. You finally fight him, and you keep you health, and he transforms into a huge monster. He charges up his final attack, you charge up your final light arrow. It was over in a flash of light."

Link thought back, and he could remember, but he was dead. he died at the same time as Link. He reached for his sword again. Link then started attacking the hooded figure. The figure blocked every shot, like last time. The hooded man flipped over Link, and Link rolled forward, turned around and struck the hooded figure in the chest. He clutched his skin right under his heart, then he jumped to the side, and somehow appeared right in front of Link, and he slashed Link in his chest. The both fell to the ground panting.

"Link, you remember. I have waited so long to fight you the right way, but it never happens. Now won’t count because neither of us were fighting at full potential." The figure stood up. Link did the same.

"Who is that robed man!? Kill him. He was never factored into this!" Keeper yelled at the top of his lungs.

"Link, run out. I will hold them off. Go and finish off Deity. That is your story, this is my role!" The Grand Sages fired the Golden Thunder Strike at the robed man. When they stopped, Keeper couldn’t help but start yelling again.

"Who are you! Take the robe off!" Keeper yelled again.

"Factor this in your sick show!" The man threw the robe of, and underneath was a light set of armor, a slightly baggy pair of pants. He had electric blue hair and eyes. He had a handsome face, and he held a razor’s edge sword. The same type that Link had at the very beginning. He stood his ground and he waved Link out.

"I’ll win this fight and I’ll fight you in the purest way I can think of when I get back." Link began to run away, out of the Dome. "That’s a promise!"

Chapter Twenty: Dark Past, New Future!

Link ran back into the heat, and the sun blinded the man’s eyes. The wind whistled his name, and the light reflected off his bright shield. Link ran to the horizon. He ran until he tripped over a raised area. He looked down at the area that caused him the temporary pain. The ground was glowing gold, and the area ahead was covered in a sand colored cloth. Link reached up and grabbed the cloth, and when the heavy cloth slid off, there was a silver and black custom Flyer. Link recognized this as the one he used when he was still enemies with Donovan. Link reached and opened the cockpit door. Inside, a note hung on the screen. Link reached up and read the note. It told Link to ride the flyer to the edge of the Endless Blue. The rest was torn off. Link pressed gently on the screen, and the Flyer lit up. He pulled the Flyer off the ground, and Link flew towards the space on the screen that pointed out the Endless Blue. He pushed the Flyer as fast as he could go, the sky was bright, and his spirit was dark. His throat was tight, and his stomach was sore. He reached in his back sack and drank some of his golden potion. Link brushed his hair out of his eyes and reflected on things past.

"Why did Donovan help me. Is he that dead-set on killing me again that he would become my ally? On the other hand, is it another issue with Ganon’s Glove? He is so mysterious, and he has no true objective. I guess he really is just like me." Link told Avon bout the recent developments, and Avon just flew in front of Link and sat on the screen.

"Link, let’s just concentrate on getting across the Desert of the Eternal Rest. Then we can think about the whole thing." Link looked at the screen, and his eyes brightened. He only had two more minutes until he reached the Endless Blue. The Flyer suddenly shook violently. The cockpit flashed red, and it started to fall from the sky. "Boss, don’t tell me we’re gonna crash again!" Avon flew back behind Link’s shield and braced himself. Link sat far back and pushed the eject button. The two travelers were shot out of the Flyer, and Link landed softly against the sand. He felt so good, lying against the damp sand. Cool, refreshing…Damp? Link raised his head and faced the damp area. There lying in front of him were the forever extending waves of the Endless Blue. The water sparkled, and the waves were perfect for a skid run, but he didn’t have the time. He looked for a way to cross. It was too far to swim. The waves seemed to go away from him, and the dragon’s were licking their scaly lips, inviting our hero to come into their domain. Link ran to the beach area and there was another torn note from Donovan on the beach. It told Link to play the song that changed his life and a great big… the rest was gone. Link took out his ocarina and he played the now memorized Waltz of Warriors. The melodies merged, and the ground was now cracking with red lines. Light shot from the cracks, and Link jumped back when the water churned. The ball of water rose into the air again, and Ascension slithered towards Link, and Link drew his Sword of Time. He wasn’t going to die now.

Ascension came to Link slowly, and it rested its head against the sand. Link didn’t feel the same hatred as before. The dragon lay on the sand, as if it was waiting for something. Link slowly walked toward the giant and reached forward. He stroked the fur around the water dragon’s head, and it felt smooth and silky. He felt a kind of weird gentleness, and he relaxed as he stroked Ascension again. He could see a note on one of the curled horns that poked out of the water dragon’s head. It told the Hylian hero that he was to get onto Ascension’s head and the dragon would get him back to Hyrule Field. Link climbed up Ascension’s head and stood on top. The dragon roared, and they rose slowly into the air. The dragon turned around, and then without notice the beast sped off. It was too fast, and Link struggled to hold on. Avon fell off Link as he speed across the Endless blue. The waves disintegrated from The dragon’s pure will. The retreating waves showered Link in a calming mist, but he couldn’t relax and hold on at the same time. The blue started to fade, and land appeared over the horizon, while Link stared in pure amazement. The dragon flew across the Endless Blue in a matter of minutes, as it took Link days to do it in the Flyer. The dragon rose higher into the air, and Link could see Death Mountain. The dragon got to the Land, and Link grinned from ear to ear.

"Ascension! We made it! Now, take me to Karkariko Village." Link braced himself, while Ascension sped to Karkariko Village in a matter of seconds. Dust scattered from the place were Ascension took off. Link was at Karkariko Village in a matter of seconds, and Link was thrown off at the gate of the Village. All of the villagers got out of their houses to see the Dragon, and they gasped, cheered, some even fell to the ground in tears. Link smiled and ran. He ran to the ranch, and didn’t stop. He screeched to a stop at the stables, and he looked at the beautiful sunset before him.

"Link! You’re finally back!" Link snapped around and Zelda was there to greet him. Behind her were Moony, and Moony was holding a baby. Link looked for Malon and Sheik, but they both were gone. He walked inside of the house, and he saw Sheik. His eyes were closed, and his outfit was slashed, and he was bleeding badly. The table was covered with red and blue potions. Link put a glowing golden potion aside Sheik, and said a prayer. When Link walked back outside he started talking to Zelda.

"So, did you miss me?" Link asked sheepishly.

"Yeah. I missed your talent, and your funny and awkward movements." Link smiled as Zelda said that.

"I missed your rivalry!" Moony said with enthusiasm.

"Moony, carrying a baby. He’s yours isn’t he? Congratulations. What’s his or hers name?" Link said while studying the small and adorable baby.

"His name is Kleiter. But he will be a great fighter by the name of Moonblitz!" Link laughed at Moony’s enthusiasm.

"Zelda, I have very important news. It involves the Grand Sages." Link choked this out.

"Well, tell us." Sheik had walked out of the house and was limping to Link.

"Well, first, when I landed, I walked into a golden dome. There the Grand Sages started talking to me. They hit me with some great magic attacks, and they told me why they did everything. I made a deal with them. I told them that if I could defeat Fierce Deity, that they would have to step down and banish themselves. Then when they tried to kill me, someone jumped into the blast for me."

"Who?" Zelda stood there, flabbergasted.

"Donovan. He even let me go, he gave me a Flyer, He showed me that I could ride Dragons. He is the reason I’m here. Don’t know why, but he might of help saved the land he hated." Link bowed his head.

"So, you survived an encounter with the Grand Sages, and you made it across the desert and blue. Did the gifts of Sages help you?" Sheik asked.

"Well, the attacks haven’t been used yet, but the Sword of Time has helped the most. Who gave me that present?" Link asked. He didn’t remember Sheik telling him whose gift this was.

"I think that Saria gave you that one. Let’s find out." Zelda said, now doing her grin that means that she was going to use her power. She closed her eyes, and in a flash of red light the Sages stood before him. They all wore some type of ceremonial clothing, and they stood in a perfect line.

"Why were we summoned? Zelda, do you need us?" Saria said in a tone that sounded older that what she really was.

"Who gave Link the Sword of Time as their gift." Zelda said in a firm and interrogative manner. Why were they acting all official like that? Zelda sounded like true royalty when she spoke to the Sages.

"Link, welcome back. How wave you been, brother?" Darunia said. Link did the same movement that the worshipers at the Temple of Legends did when they greeted someone.

"Ah, it seems that someone learned something at the Temple. That sign you just did, it is the sign of respect to legends and others." Nabooru said calmly.

"I see someone is still showing the scar that I gave them at the Fighting Tournament." Link stated, looking at Nabooru’s arm and holding back a laugh.

"Gggrrrrrr." Nabooru frowned, and Saria spoke again.

"Link, you are just like Toray!" Link shut up immediately.

Zelda cleared her throat. "Do I have to repeat myself? Who gave Link the Sword of Time?" Zelda stood perfectly, and Link once again held back a serious laugh.

"Zelda, come on. Lighten up already. We were just catching up on lost time." Link pulled out the sword. The light of the sun illuminated it’s gold and blue surface, and the power hidden in the sword was so powerful that the energy radiated of the sword. "Who gave me this?"

"I see that you liked my gift." Link turned around slowly, then a light person knocked to the ground. He felt two smooth arms wrap around his neck, and some flaming red hair waved in his face, He brushed the hair out of his face, and his eyes met with a beautiful pair of big blue eyes. Her smile lit up Link’s spirit. Link relaxed and put his arms around Malon, and he held her tightly.

"I told you, I wouldn’t be late. I told you that I’d be back." Link said gently.

"Link, I waited patiently, and you came back. I knew I could trust you. I was fighting, just like you. I wanted to be more then the person that loved you from afar. I wanted to know the real you, I wanted to stay by your side. That’s why I waited. And as always, you came through for me, and you brightened my day again. Now, can you just stay here?" Malon spilled all of her feelings to Link, she even let a tear fall down her face, but she kept her loving face.

"Malon, maybe I don’t have to make you wait anymore." Link said, his heart overflowing, his brain clicking. Malon and link stood up, but then Link got on one knee. Sheik’s eyes widened in anticipation, Zelda gasped, and the Sages smiled. "I have seen so many great and terrible things lately, and one thought kept me going. One ambition kept me from going with the Gerudo. One ambition helped me become the only person to ever hurt a Grand Sage. One thought kept me alive though everything. That thought was to see you again. If seeing you now brings me this much joy, then I don’t want it to end. I don’t ever want to lose you to the crowd. I bet that no one would have ever thought that I would ask this question, but there is a first time for everything. Well, what I’m trying to ask is, Malon, will you marry me, and help me put an end to the greatest story every made." Link wished that he had a ring to give her, but he didn’t have one with him.

Malon fell to her knees. She smiled and cried at the same time, as she grabbed Link’s hand and held it softly. "Link, of course. It would let us both live our dreams. I always dreamed that a knight in shining armor would come and sweep me off my feet. Well a brave knight did, even thought he wasn’t wearing the shining armor."

"That’s…so…" Saria couldn’t find the words to describe the scene laid out before her. Zelda cried tears of happiness, Link and Malon rose and pulled each other into a kiss.

"I will gladly accept Malon to be the Sworn Sister of the Goron race." Darunia move forward for a hug, but Malon ran behind Link. Darunia smiled and stepped back.

Link’s moment of complete bliss ended soon though. In the back of Sheik and Link’s head, a fierce evil churned. The sky and ground shook, and dark clouds and a pulsing blue atmosphere glowed through the clouds. The ground cracked and the sky grew violent. Intense lightning and enormous thunder claps grew. Everyone by now could feel the evil, and the Sword of time shook furiously. The blue strips on the blue and gold sword turned red. Link griped the sword tightly and signaled Malon to step back. Sheik signaled the others and everyone prepared for battle. Everyone besides Link and Sheik felt fear.

"This can’t be happening. He can’t be here now. Please…Let this be a bad dream. We…we…would die if came now!" Saria yelled, and she covered her eyes to hide her tears of fear.

"Stay strong! We will survive. I won’t let any of us die now!" Darunia said, while he beat on his chest.

"Quiet!" Link hollered at them. He was trying to get in tune with the surroundings, and none of the talking could help.

"Link, do you think it’s him?" Zelda asked. Pamela had just walked out, and She grabbed on a post. Then the barn collapsed from the pressure of the wind and the horses were running frantically. Link Looked around, and the evil was now reaching their hearts. Link felt a lump in his throat. Then there was a great flash of light. Link shielded his eyes, and when he opened them, he saw the outline of a huge energy disk. "Everyone! Jump back! Get down!" Link yelled.

Link jumped far back doing a somersault in mid-air, but he was thrown back by a wave of heat. There was a huge ball of fire in front of him, and the ground spread from the explosion on outward. Link looked at the others. The Sages were all regrouping. Sheik was standing. Link looked at him and wished that he was that calm. Malon and Pamela were knocked down and Malon’s elbow on down was bleeding. Link looked at where the disk struck the ground. A crater was carved into the ranch and the ground smoked. Link gritted his teeth, and stared at the dark blue light. A figure floated among the light, the blue silhouette laid against the light. The dark light dispersed, and the figure allowed his eyes to flash blue. He lowered down, among the ring of fire that encircled the ranch. The fiery fence burned Link, and he was far away from the fence. Sheik and Moony rushed by Link, Moony had put Kleiter in Pamela’s arms. They stood ready, ready to put an end to the endless conflict that Link had lived. The blue fighter features were lit up by the fire, and his own energy gave him an orange and blue contrast.

"Link, I have come back, just to take my revenge. I, Fierce Deity, have torture you life, so that I could finally kill you in battle. Link, I must admit, you did a great job. You did everything right as a child. You remember the Guardians?" Deity yelled. He smirked, his joy struck Link, and Link felt his energy rise again. "Link, when you fought them you made them stronger. They were able to hold me off. But when you taught Toray how to fight, you strengthened me! Thank you for giving me unparalleled strength. Even if you were to bring out the sword’s full potential, you wouldn’t be able to stop me now!"

"The sword’s full potential? What are you babbling about?" Link yelled, his energy still rising. Sheik stared, Moony cursed at the Deity.

"Link, you don’t know! HA!" Deity said in a mocking tone, "Well, anyway, if you want to end this story, come to the Temple Of Time, and see why death sings your name in full rejoice!" Then he dissolved into the fire. Link couldn’t take it. His energy had maxed out, and his own power was so strong that you could see his energy. The green aura rose like steam from his body. Link lifted his sword into the air. Behind him, a scene of pain, destruction, and devastation unfolded around him. He strengthened past all limits, and brought the sword down quickly. The sudden drop was followed up when the flames rose high into the air. They licked out and turned blood red. He closed his eyes, and snapped them opened. The flames flashed away, and the crater was refilled. The glowing sword stopped glowing. The sky cleared, and Link stood in the middle, warriors on both sides, staring at his future.

"It’s time to end this!" Link said softly, not showing his true rising anger. Deity had attacked him, hurt Malon, he killed his best friend, sent him back in time so that he could be stronger, he nearly killed him, and he showed more disgusting qualities when he killed the first fighter. Link walked forward, towards the gate of the ranch. Malon woke up, and Link heard her call his name. "Malon, I’ll be back. After that, you won’t have to wait for me again."

Link walked towards the Temple of Time, but he was tireless. It was time to end this now. He took his ocarina out, oiled it, then played the Waltz of Warriors, to show respect to his next battle. Then he played the Prelude of Light, and teleported to the Temple of Time.

Chapter Twenty-One: Showdown: The finale

Link felt the ground underneath him, and bounced as he settled down. The platform glowed as he landed, but he didn’t care. Link looked at the alter, where his destined battle would begin. Deity stood, with a smile on his face. Link took his sword by the hilt, and he got ready. Deity rose up, and stood on the cold floor.

"Good. Good! You made it past the lifeline trap!" Deity said in a mocking tone, "Soon the greatest battle in history will commence. I just want to know, if your against the Grand Sages, why are you helping them? Why do you help them?"

"I hate them because they used me for their entertainment, then they just tried to kill me, so that they could mess up another person’s life. I am not helping them either. They will die after I kill you!" Link yelled, feeling his energy rising again.

"Well, you have good logic. But can you stare me in the eyes, as the judge, and jury, knowing that I could take your life, you wife, your kids, wear your clothes, and take away everything that is important to you, and you think that you will be able to beat me?" Deity said. Link pondered the question, then he nodded, and prepared to fight.

"Deity, it’s time to stop this. Enough talk!" Link yelled. Link rushed, and Deity jumped out of the way, while bringing out his sword. They both struck at the same time, and they were both executing the same moves. Link swung at Deity’s head, and Deity ducked to dodge, while taking a jab at Link’s Stomach. Link jumped when the blade almost got him, and landed on the helix blade, and pushed down. Deity lifted the blade into the air, catapulting Link upwards. Link turned downwards, and aimed his sword at Deity while falling. Deity did an upward block and Link landed, while clutching his sword. Link felt his energy rise. Deity rushed at Link and swung his huge sword, while Link jumped sideways. He somersaulted backwards, and got ready for the Sheikah Spiral Sword. Link jumped forward, and turned so that he was flat in the air. He spun, with the sword in front of him, and when he hit Deity, Deity fell and rolled backwards. Link charged up again for the Love sparkling White Water, and when he released the attack, the white water flowed from the edge of the sword, and froze on Deity. Then the ice shattered, and the shards cut Deity. Deity stood up, and Shot one of his energy disks at him. Link was hit in the middle and was thrown back. He grabbed his side and yelled, and then he stood again. His middle throbbed with pain, and his mind burned. Deity was holding his arm, where an ice shard melted. The shard was lodged into his arm. Link rushed again, and stabbed Deity’s armor. Deity then hit Link with the hilt of his sword, and Link fell. He rose and punched Deity in his face, and Deity dropped his sword. Link threw his glowing sword down, and they threw punches at each other. Link threw several punches at Deity, and he caught Deity in the face. While turning, he was pegged hard in the face. Link staggered, then regained his balance, and hid Deity hard in the chest. Once again, Deity’s armor shattered, and Link had hurt his hand, but he didn’t hurt as much as he did before. Link threw many punches at Deity’s stomach, and Deity keeled over. When he regrouped, he punched Link hard in the face, and Link fell back. Deity then hit Link so hard that Link bounced on one foot to keep his balance, and while he regrouped, he got his fist ready for the Goron Fatal Fury Fist. He concentrated on his fist, and when he threw the punch, his hands were like fireballs. He hit Deity in the face, Deity was thrown far back, and his back slammed into the Door of Time. Link picked up his sword, and got ready to finished the fight, but he was tossed back, and when he investigated, Deity had released his energy, and Link was seriously disoriented. Deity lifted his Sword, and charged up a huge disk. Link saw the size, and he got Din’s Fire Beam ready, since the disk was too large to dodge. Deity Let his disk fly, and Link prayed to himself saying, "Now is a good time to be overenthusiastic!" Link fired the Fire Beam, and the two fighters were knocked out by the shockwave sent by the explosion.

Chapter Twenty-Two: In the Darkness of the Waltz of Warriors

Link stood slowly up, and he was bruised and bloody. He was in the open, there was a cloudy sky above him. He could see the bricks falling, he could see the rubble, and he saw him. The evil god of fighting stood on a still standing pillar, and he was cut up. His sword was leaned against the pillar, and his eyes were glowing blue. He reminded Link of Donovan, just that Donovan would transform when his eyes glowed. He stood up on the pillar and looked at Death Mountain. Link stood and looked the other way, at the market. The market was destroyed, and the castle was missing one of its wings. Link looked for his sword, which was almost completely submerged in rubble. Link pulled it out, and the Sword shined with energy. He turned towards the castle until his senses were thrown off. He turned around and swung down, Link heard a loud clang, and a flash of white light blinded the fighters. They started fighting again, and Link was at the disadvantage. Link was reminded of the battle that started his long and frustrating adventure. He remembered the orb that the Red Warrior and Deity were engulfed in. A faint orb had overtaken them, and it was a blue and red swirl sphere. They swung high and low, and they took extraordinary hits. They were battered and bruised, and they were drinking there on blood and sweat. They continued fighting; every shot was their last. Every sword shot echoed like thunder, and every move was as fast as lightening. Link ha taken shots to his body, and he was in pain that was never experienced before. His life was on the line. Link had been fighting for about an day, but the clans and screams echoed for an eternity. Link had worn himself out, but he hung on to the thoughts of freeing himself from the Grand Sages, defeating Deity, and marrying Malon, but Deity kept trying to stop that. Link hit Deity’s sword up, and hit him in his exposed chest, while Deity took the blow and clobbered Link with the rising uppercut. Link dropped his sword again, and back flipped to reach it. He ran forward and struck downward, and Deity struck upwards. When Link stared at the result, Link’s sword was caught into the loop in the Double Helix Sword. Link and Deity dropped the swords and walked around each other. They stared each other down, and they were ready to kill each other. Link then stepped up.

"Deity, are you ready to finish this!?" Link demanded.

"Ah, you are a great fighter, but you will have to die soon. Well, at least you’ll die like a warrior. Link, you have tried, but my strength is so strong that I could drink up the flow of life itself, and you still think that you could take me! Foolish…" Deity picked up his sword, and Link took his sword, and Deity threw a powerful shot at Link. Link strafed, and slashed Deity across his stomach. Link could faintly hear the steel cut through Deity, and Deity could only yell out in pain. A whole day of fighting and a shot like that was enough to kill some of the most powerful fighters in the world. Link was then caught off guard, and Deity swung downward at Link. Link tried to do a backward somersault, and when he landed, Deity sliced over Link’s head. Link dropped his sword, and when Link bent over to pick it up, he felt the Double Helix Sword pierce his back. The tip of the sword was blue with energy, and it had blood dripping down it. Link fell down, now oblivious to pain, and his face was on the ruined Temple’s floor. Link’s eyes were red, and his face was covered him dried blood. He felt death, and he strode to get up. Link heard his heart slow down, almost as slow as his breaths. He shut his eyes, and finally felt relaxed, but then he felt like a failure. He had failed everyone, and they were putting their lives into helping Link free them. I did lose. I lost, and every one will pay for my mistake. Zelda, Moony, Sheik, Saria, Darunia, Nabooru, Impa, Rauru, Kokiris, Gorons, Zoras, Hylians, I failed all of you. But I really failed Malon. He was glad that his eyes were closed, because he would have been crying if not. Link had seen pain, suffering, and death, but if the Grand Sages took over, it would mean the end of anyone he cared about. I guess I lost to Deity. He was too strong. On the other hand, did I lose to the Grand Sages; they were probably controlling this life. But no, it wasn’t Deity, No; it wasn’t the Grand Sages, NO! What I really lost to was myself…

At the Grand Sages lair, Donovan stood at the same place he was, smoking, and burnt. The Sages had been torturing him, while watching Link and Deity fight. They jumped up and down, while Donovan cursed at Link for losing. At the ranch, Malon had fallen on her knees when Zelda lost her telepathic link with Link. Every woman cried, but Malon had yelled and screamed. Sheik tried to run to the Temple, but Moony ran and stopped Sheik, they both just prepared for the Grand Sages fight.

Everyone I loved will be dead. No I won’t let them die. I won’t lose! I won’t let myself be the victim of a sick plot. Now, body, get up! No more letting myself lose! Get Up! Now! "NOW!" Link yelled. His eyes snapped opened. Link stood up, all the bleeding stopped. He picked up his sword, and yelled out to Deity, who was walking in the distance. "DEITY! Get back here. I now know! And it feels so good!" Link yelled. Deity twisted around, and he summoned his Helix sword. They rushed, and Link struck Deity’s sword down with three hits. They were at a endless duel, and the sky was their chorus. Link could see his aura again, and Link’s sword had changed colors again. He was hitting fiercely, and Deity was caught in a whirl of attacks and maneuvers. This battle went on for two days, and each blow was now causing the Earth to rumble. The Temple of Time ruins were now more scattered, and the standing pillars were blown away. The fighters fought with their blue and green auras showing. Then the final blow was dealt. Link lashed his sword out, Deity leaned back, He struck forward. Link back flipped, and Link powered up his sword and ran forward, Deity went for Link’s head, and Link went for Deity’s head, while using the Sage Supreme Spirit, which increased his strength by a lot. They hit each others sword, and a magnificent blue and red swirled light engulfed the two fighters. They were in a sword lock, the swords were crossed in front of them, and a weird forced locked the swords together. Link tried to pin Deity’s sword down, and Deity tried the same. This would be their final showdown. Both were too strong to lose, too strong to ever say die.

Chapter Twenty-Three: Don
t Break the Hold
The Miracles of the Sword, Cube, and the Voice

They tried hard, while the light was now a cyclone, and they were the eyes. The cyclone was welcomed by the dark clouds, the thunder, the lightening, and the earthquake. The ground shook violently, and the warriors didn’t feel the outside effects. Alls they felt was the pain, and the close at hand victory. Link was already feeling the pain of his stabbing, and his right leg was about to snap. Deity was braving an exposed ribcage, and his back was nearly broken. Link tried to push down Deity’s sword, but every time Deity would send a shockwave at Link. Link wasn’t going to break the hold and prolong the fight. This had to end now. Every thing was riding on the next couple of actions

Man, this is exciting!

Lin’s sword was now like pure light, and it was vibrating smoothly. Link felt the power of time flowing through the sword, and he felt the dark energy of Deity’s energy. Link pushed the sword, while taking the shockwaves from Deity. The cyclone was sucking the air out of every scratch and bruise, and the large wound in his front and back was extreme torture. Link held the hold, so that he could survive. The ground was unbearable now, and Link had been hit by the strong lightening many times. His endurance right then was unmatchable, and his energy was so strong that the spirits that were around the temple were speaking to Link. Link was waiting for Deity to give, but Deity would just push back. Link had been keeping his balance when Deity sent a shockwave and at the same time, he was pushing down on the swords at the same time. Link’s sword was almost pinned, but Link pushed his glowing sword back. Link longed to wiped the blood away from his nose, but doing so would have ended with Link dying. He held his own, expecting the conflict to end. The ground’s tremors were too intense; the ground was going to split from all of this. Link was fighting the urge to quit, but his own arms were burning like crazy, and his injuries were being multiplied.

"Link!" Link heard a voice in his mind, and he knew that it was Zelda. "Link, I have something to tell you about that sword. It may decide the battle between you and Deity. Link, the sword is known as an equalizer. It levels out the balance between good and evil. Link, if the sword was used at it’s full potential, then you could tip the scale to help you." Like that’s gonna help! "Link, don’t complain, listen to me! I’m bringing the Timecube. The Timecube absorbs the good and evil forces, enough to where the forces are balanced. If you can bring out the full potential of that sword, then we could use the Timecube to absorb Deity’s strength, and you could defeat him." Good idea. I wonder why I didn’t think of that! "We have the Timecube. The guardians are coming with me, so I’ll be there soon. Link, calm down though, the earth feels like it’s gonna split in two!" Link braced himself, and only tried to defend, but Deity was pushing too hard. The ground had it, the earth had a huge line going down, and the area right below the contact point of the swords was splitting wide open. Link’s leg was in serious pain now, and his blood was pumping out furiously. Link tried to push forward, but his leg finally gave way. He fell to one knee, and still kept the hold going. The heat coming from the ground was searing his cap. The sky was rooting for Deity, while the spirits rooted for Link. The Sword of Time’s light was fueling Link, but it wasn’t enough. Deity sent yet another shockwave and Link was in the most pain that he was ever subjected to since his birth. His bones were on fire, his skin was torn and red. His broken Leg was his weak point, and Deity knew. He put all of his force on that one space. Link had tried his best, but he had lost. He was ready to admit defeat. As he got ready to quit, a bright purple light blasted through the cyclone, and the magnificent guardians stood, and Zelda was standing on Bostaovee’s shoulder. In her hand the Timecube radiated the energy of the fighter. Zelda spoke to Link telepathically again. "Link, get this battle over with! The world is splitting. The ranch has a huge crack, and it is so deep that the fires below have surfaced. Link! Finish it NOW! CONCENTRATE ALL OF YOUR ENERGY ON THE SWORD BEFORE EVERYONE IS DEAD!" Link started to put his entire thought on the sword, and was now sparkling with red energy. The sword shot a beam into the cube and the cube turned red for a while, but the cube swirled blue. Deity’s sword had cancelled out the cubes good energy, and Link was weakened. He gave up. All of his hopes were smashed. Even Zelda fell to her knees crying, and the Guardians stood and roared ferociously. Link’s other leg felt like snapping but Link thought to himself Give in leg, I’m gonna die anyway!

"Link, that’s now way to think! What happened to the optimistic Link I knew? Alternatively, was I the optimistic one?" Link heard a familiar voice, as if an old friend was trying to contact him. Link looked over his shoulder, but the only thing there was fiery rubble. "C’mon Link! I know your stronger than that. Has age slowed you down? Well, in case you want to know, I know that you have the strength to beat him. That’s your game!" Link knew that phrase, but it couldn’t be. He’s supposed to be dead, but then why is he speaking to me. And that phrase is the same one the red fighter used when he fought Deity when I was recreated. Is he still alive?

"TORAY! Is that you!" Zelda’s head snapped up, and Deity’s eyes widened. Link knew that it was him. It had to be.

"Ah, alas, someone remembers me! Link, I know that you are stronger. When you told me about your first adventure, you fought someone in this exact same situation. Link, remember how to fight like how you did then, and you’ll be unstoppable. Link, if you use yours and the Sword of Time’s energy, Deity will see a force that he could only imagine of having. Link!" Toray’s voice was inspiring. He wasn’t going to let his student down. He slowly stood on his broken leg, the sword holds still raging. He got ready to strike back.

"Toray, are you speaking from beyond the grave! Please, I need to know!" Link yelled. Deity almost laughed.

"Are you so beat that you are talking to yourself? HA! HA! HA!" Deity laughed, but then continued to push the sword so that he could win.

"Link, now, let it all go. Think of our battles. When we would save the day and get the girl in the same day! Well, there may not be a girl waiting for me, but you have one waiting for you. Link, try. If your own strength doesn’t pull it then accept yourself into the Waltz of Warriors. Link, know that it is in your blood and let that be your weapon. The Waltz is a strangle hold, it’s a way of thought. Think about the Waltz and let it all go! Hold nothing back! NOW, LET HIM SEE TRUE POWER!" Link nodded, and centered his thoughts. The ground was now splitting so fast that you could hear it rip. The sky was now shooting lightening like mad. The Earth was shooting up geysers of heat and boiling water around them, but the thought of the Waltz of Warriors, and the old times when he was a hero. He was set. His energy rocketed, it shot fast into the cube, and the whole sky glowed red. The cube was pulsing so hard that Bostaovee, who was now holding the Timecube couldn’t barely hold it. It absorbed the red energy slowly at it became blood Red. Link’s energy still rose, and Deity screamed as he saw power. He was face to face with unmatchable power, and he was trying to stop it. Link pushed down hard on the swords, and the sword of time pinned the Double Helix Sword down. Link pulled the sword up, and stabbed the sword through Deity’s chest. He held it there, the sword was now blood stained. Deity coughed up a lot of blood, and he slowly started to float to the Timecube.

"Liiiiiinnnnnnkkkkk…" He yelled as his eyes finally went back to there original pure-white stage. He floated to the cube, then he dissolved. Link stood in the same position.

"If you ever think of coming back, Deity, then I want you to know something. Next time stay out of my mind!" Link yelled, as his aura still rose. Zelda stood and yelled Link’s name in joy, but Link fell to the ground unconscious. He was calm now, and this rest was no longer plagued with destruction. He felt at rest, finally.

Chapter Twenty-Four: A Ghost Waiting to Come Back

One week after the fight of the world, the market and castle was fixed. The Temple of Time was now rebuilt with a beautiful jewel statue of Link, in the pose he stood in when he beat Deity. Hylians, Zoras, Sages, Gorons, and Gerudos were inside, celebrating The marriage. Link and Malon had joined together an hour ago, and Link was standing near a pillar that survived the clash of Titans that happened earlier. He looked at the sunset, wondering what lied ahead of him. He also wondered if he was truly happy. He had save his homeland once again, but was he finished. Something wasn't right. He strolled over to crack where the swords joined in the last struggle. He turned towards the New Temple of Flowing Time. He longed to finish everything, but gave up. He started back t the castle.

"Even when the adventure is over, you still fight. That's the Link I know." Link snapped around quickly and Toray stood in front of him. He was wearing a new red tunic, and for once he had his Guardian's Armor on. He walked up to Link and slapped his hand on his shoulder. Link grinned at his friend.

"Toray! How on Earth are you here. I guess that you game isn't over yet, huh," Link smiled.

"Well, I just came to say good luck, and bye." Link cocked an eyebrow. Toray was leaving, "I have some soul searching to do. I will be back, but not for a while."

"Where are you going to go?" Link asked.

"I'm going to try and find my brother, but that will take a while. I have one request for you."

"Shoot." Link said. He would take any request from the wandering warrior.

"I want you to get stronger, so when I get back, me and you can have our epic battle!" Toray said. He was going to stay enthusiastic forever.

"I'll hold you to that. Hey, why don't I go with you!" Link yelled. Toray started to walk away.

"You have your own battles here. One of them behind you right now. Stay brave, and that will be your game! Bye!" Toray yelled, while waving his hand.

"BYE, good friend. Stay cool." Link turned around and Malon stood a couple of feet behind him.

"Link, was that To." Malon started to ask, but Link finished her sentence.

"That was a ghost, searching for a way to come back."

"Do you think he'll find it?"

"I know it." Link said, with a smirk on his face.

"Link, why did you come out here?" Malon asked

"I wanted to see the perfect sunset. I guess it wasn't perfect without you. The sun seems to focus on every good thing about you now. I now know that all of the waiting was worth it." Link said gently.

Malon came and snuggled next to Link. "Link, what do you think about our future?" Link stroked her hair a couple of times, and then answered.

"I see nothing but brightness. With you, I do not know of any evil, and that's how life should be." He put his arm over her shoulder, and they watched the sunset.

"Do you want a kid?" Link's eyes widened.

"Malon, how about a baby boy. He can be the Next hero, maybe be stronger then his dad?" Link told her.

"Link, I got the perfect name for him. How about Telegreavicoucia?" Malon said while getting closer to Link.

"Well, not that long, how about Tele?" Malon nodded, and Link turned his head to see Ruto sticking her head out.

"Malon, lets go home. To the ranch, okay. That way, we can get away from the crowd." Link said.

"Sure, Let's go home, my hero.

Epilogue

Donovan dropped hard to the floor, as the Grand Sages stopped firing. They were just told that the fight was over, and that Link had won. They cursed loudly, and Donovan stood, an evil grin crossed his devilish face.

"Well. You made the deal and you lost. You now have to leave." Donovan said. The evil glint was back in his eyes.

"No, we underestimated, but nothing can beat us."

"Except this." Donovan threw his jacket to the wind, and he raised up Gannon's Glove. The Dark Triforce glowed, and the Grand Sages stepped back. Donovan laughed and fired beams. All that was left was a six smoking corpses. Donovan then screamed in pain. His glove twitched, and the glove flew off his hand. It flew into the darkness, and an unspeakable evil spoke from the dark, and his red head jewel glinted when he spoke.

"Well, I'm back. I guess that this blue headed one brought me back. I thank you. Tell me your name, and I can kill you easily." The voice said.

"Ha. You couldn't even contend with Link, and you think you can beat Me. I, Donovan DeClaude, laugh at you." Donovan started to walk off.

"You fought with Link, and you two had a tie. Well, how about this. Join me, and we can get rid of Link." The dark figure spoke. The glove was glowing, and a powerful man stood.

"Mm, Let's go then." Donovan said. He knew that the dark figure was going to betray him the first chance he got, but he had and idea.

"Ha! Link will finally die at my hands." The dark figure started out, and he turned, and devised a plan, "Link, you will die, at the hands of the King of Thieve! Will you survive!" The figure walked out laughing, and the dome collapsed behind them and their dark ambitions.
