A FINAL "THANK YOU"
To all members and congregants of Union City United Methodist Church.
Ellie
and I want to thank you for the opportunity we have had in investing
seven
years (as of August 17) of our lives with you in Christ's ministry.
Please know how very much it means to us to have had a comfortable
parsonage furnished by you.
Your love for us has been demonstrated in so many ways. This
experience,
and memory, we will not forget.
Nor not forgotten is the Christian love and caring through the
experience
of my accident. God certainly helped you to show His way of providing
in an
unexpected and difficult time. The ministry of our Church continued in
a
positive way and it is greatly appreciated.
We have had the opportunity of being with you in times of joy,
celebration,
anticipation, competition (golf, softball, volleyball), membership
classes,
Bible study, prayer, meetings, suffering, sorrow, death, weddings,
planning,
community service, birthdays, singing, worship, Sunday School classes,
frustration, disagreements (agreeably), expansion (parking lot),
complete
renovation of the Church sanctuary, burning of the mortgage of the
new
addition, graduations, baptisms, birth of babies, early Praise service,
selling of the organ, purchase of the keyboard (grand piano size),
Men's
Breakfasts (Dale Rice's bacon!), moving.
We feel we have had an exciting seven years together, all made
possible
through the desire to serve Jesus and minister in His Name.
Ellie and I say "Thank You", from deep in our hearts. God richly bless
each
of you and make the ministry of Pastor Rob and his family richly
meaningful
to you.
