MINISTER "Mommy, God made me." I was filling our a form at the Service Center, which handles business for several Credit Unions. At the same time there was a mother with her young son doing the same thing. Child-like, including lack of embarrassment he verbalized the words. "Mommy God made me." I asked his mother his age 3 ½ years. How wonderful our public School Administrators are now able to openly discuss and give guidance in the matter of the teaching of evolution. While there is differing opinion among them, it is encouraging that this differing philosophy is being openly considered. Children, their education and how they are treated, is an international concern. The Church at large is making children prime priority. Well that this is happening. Our retiring Bishop, Donald Ott, has been commissioned by the Council of Bishops to do ministry with children the world over. The Holy Scriptures are very clear about children. "Train up a child in the way he should go and when he is old he will not depart from it", (the training). When Christ was with us, He was very clear about His priority of children. "Except you become as one of these (little children), you cannot enter the kingdom of heaven". My 3 ½ year old friend reflected training and teaching about how he came to be here. Mother and father must have made it a priority that he was not just "an accident". He didn't "just happen". God grant that my little friend's teaching shall continue as it has been begun. If so, he will have no problem with self-esteem, about his place in life, about his future, about how he is to live out God's will for his life. Are you fulfilling God's purpose for life? He "made" you to do just that. How great your life can then be!your friend and Pastor, John
