The Picket Line
January 2004
Ring out the old, ring in the new,
Ring, happy bells, across the snow:
The year is going, let him go;
Ring out the false, ring in the true.

President's Message
We, the people, of the Utah Civil War Association, in order to form a more perfect union, do hereby form allegiance to preserve our heritage and honor for which we have worked so dearly to establish. This allegiance must be protected and guarded against any enemy, both foreign and domestic.

This Association has overcome many difficulties and trials that have come too close to destroy and dissemble the character of this great body of people.

Therefore, we need to unify this great organization into one spirit and help those who are new and willing to carry on with us this vision of an era gone by. The people, both old and new, have the fortitude to see this vision carried on and established even stronger and more vibrant in the coming year.

We have pushed forward with greater zeal and with more purpose then at any other time. We have met the onslaught of persecution, in our own ranks, and have stood the blast of ridicule by those who have felt that they needed to be in command. Yet, we have not wavered in our design for becoming a better and stronger organization. We have weathered the storms and will continue to stay the course. We will be unified in our efforts to overcome
difficulties and struggles, if we remain together, with one common goal:  To be unified in our course.

We must stand the test and hold our ground at all hazards.

President Ralph Bryson
