The Picket Line
November 2004
We ought to make the moments notes
Of happy, glad Thanksgiving;
The hours and days a silent phrase
Of music we are living.
And so the theme should swell and grow
As weeks and months pass o'er us,
And rise sublime at this good time,
A grand Thanksgiving chorus.

Once again it’s that time of year, a time to reflect back on what we are thankful for.

A time of thanksgiving, a time of plenty, a time of harvest, and time to remember what a great country this is and whom gave their lives and sacrificed their all for it and for us.

It has been a pleasure to serve in this office with such fine group as this. I look forward to next year and the service that Don Hall will give.

Don had been a great help and a very good Vice President. His advice has helped me in many times as well as his service to this organization all ready rendered.

And now I too, as the past President, fade into the ranks to be of service again among noble soldiers and take my stand with the “secesh scum”.

Thank you for letting me serve and try to help this organization the best I could.

In reality, it helped me more than I helped it.

Sincerely,

Ralph Bryson
