Training
Fire fighters are required to complete an 88 hour basic firefighters course
along with a 24 hour level 2 hazardous materials course.

Firefighters also train on pump operations and emergency vehicle operations
which combined totals approximately 40 hours.

Members also train on vehicle rescue, wilderness firefighting, wilderness search
and rescue, medical emergencies, and rural water supply.

Training is updated yearly to ensure firefighter safety and to provide the most
professional emergency services possible.

Trainings are conducted every Monday except the first monday of every month.

Our services are on a volunteer basis.  As you can see by the hours our members
volunteer, they make a deep commitment to the fire department and the community
they serve.

Training photos are now here... These were taken on May 23, 2002 at a simulated
auto accident staged for EMS week.
