Small Man's Complex
Small Man's Complex, or SMC, is hands down the best RBF cover band in Massachusetts...  Nay, the world...  SMC consists of seven guys from the high school that I attend (or atleast they used to, five of them have graduated this past year).

The band consists of

Matt - drums
Shawn - guitar and back up vocals
Dan - guitar and lead voals
Mike - trumpet
Jared - trombone
Anthony - bass
Joe - alto saxaphone

I don't know what's going to happen to the band now that Anthony and Shawn are the only two left.  Maybe they'll try to recruit and continue on of atleast another year.  Next year though, Anthony will be graduating and Shawn will be the only origional band member left.

NEWS

During the winter of 2000, Small Man's Complex won the Battle of the Bands that was put on by our high school.  SMC beat out five other bands for the honor of the Best Band and a hefty $300.

Sept. 2001

It's official.  SMC has broken up.  Since most of the members graduated and moved on to bigger and better things, Shawn and Anthony have given up on SMC.

But now they are starting a new "normal" band.  They have found a new drummer named Jack, but are currently looking for a back-up guitar.

Early Oct. 2001

SMC is reunited.  At the RBF show in Boston on the 3rd, all the ex-members of SMC minus Jared, returned home to attend.  They all had a kickin' time and were able to meet all the members of RBF.   Following this, they decided to re-form to band.  Small Man's Complex lives!

Late Oct. 2001

Dammit, these guys change their minds more than my 13 year old sister...  SMC is once again kaput

But there is good news on the band that Anthony and Shawn started. They have found a back up guitar, and saints be praised, she's a girl!  She's a good friend of mine and her name is Jeni.  And she can actually play guitar pretty well to everyone's surprise.  We had no idea she was good because in Marching Band she's only a tuba.  They're practicing to enter the Battle of the Bands.  Can they do it?

Dec. 2001
Yeah, well, I was talking to Anthony and he told me that the new band he has with Shawn, Jeni, and Jack, has broken up.  Why?  Apparently, and this is a quote, "Shawn smokes too much pot."  **sigh**

April 2002
SMC got back together with the intention of re-winning my high school's battle of the band.  Yeah, well, with Dan gone off to college, and Shawn and Joe singing lead, yeah, the boys came in second to last out of five bands...  Right infront of my boyfriend's band...
**double sigh**

I'm pretty sure that they're done for good now.
