Background:  Raised by Dwarves, although he was not an outcast, Ozgazdin kept to himself and left as soon as possible for a life of adventure and carnage.  He became trained trained as a Caver to stay away from other Dwarves, but even that could not give him the distance from society that he desired.  He departed for a life of adventure and took sanctuary in the way of life of the plains barbarian people who did not reject him because of his grisly appearance.  His numerous scars were reguarded as trophies.  Even though the plains people were kind, their ways were not his and he could no longer stand it.  After finding that his parents and close kin were slain in a trading expedition by Eroc Koobelur and his band of fire giants, Ozgazdin felt that the barbarians' kindness was more like pity.  It sickened him and he longed for personal strength; that is all that provided him with the courage to keep on going.  Could there be something else?  Inner strength will have to do for now...
