The Y2K Reunion is now a thing of the past.
Nonetheless, it holds its place in the history of U.D.S.S.
We have compiled recounts of that week from some of the alumni that made it happen.
Enjoy........

Hey guys,
I hope everyone is well. I am just writing to say I had a wonderful time
at the reunion. I was really excited seeing everyone and being able to
relive some of those UDSS moments. We've all grown to be such responsible
adults. That was the part that overwhelmed me most! I remember seeing guys
in shorts and brown sandals - OJE, Dabo, David, even Chidi self! Now everyone
is all built, with a mustache, baritone voice and all; its unbelievable.
Time flies! I'm sitting here reflecting on the entire weekend: Obinna
getting drunk (still think he's adopted!), we all know Alvin aka Dre' (too
funny!), Man-O-War, Mr. Ejiofor (kai!!)....and so much more. I had the
opportunity to meet students who'd left before I even started attending
UDSS, like Uwem (he is so kool!). I had heard these stories about one effico
boy like that, so I was really expecting to see one boy wey book don chop
all ein hair finish, with Coca-Cola bottles for glasses, but he was far from
that! Very friendly and extremely down to earth. And oh, Chidi, after
tearing Efajemo one HOT slap, fear been no even let me talk to am, but he
was really kool too! Kerendu's mouth is still sharp, but she's a doll! Ohita
is not the quiet Ohita we all used to know sha..hmmm!(..you can do it put
cha back into it!!!).
I've written too much already! I honestly hope that we will be able to do
this again, really! I was not too pleased with the organization of the other
Naija reunion crap, but UDSS had it going on. So I hope we can all get
together and do something again, before are all married with kids, and can't
fit into shorts any more! Oje & Emeka - much love guys! Please forward this
to Uwem, Emeka, Ijeoma, Obinna, Osamuede & Eghosa, Dabo and Amalaye, cos I
do not have their email address. I wish I could have seen the others that
couldn't make it sha. Keep it real!
Love U guys,
Onome
PS.
Look forward to the pictures - I took 105!!!!! I'll forward them to Ojay,
and he'll put them on the UDSS page.

Let me give y'all a breakdown as i can clearly remember...maya still hold me for work.
It was so entertaining, i can't put it all down in ink.
I might have to write a book on this shiiit(Rated-R - no vex for my profanity).
OK let's get started.
Week Prior - there was an e-mail battle cus folks did not agree with the arrangement set forth for the UDSS Reunion. It was mostly due to misinformation and folks underestimating H-Town. Well, no be person go tell una again. After much blood shed(i dey play o), we agreed to a Brunch.
Wednesday - "The girls from Canada"("Eve", Kerendu and Dee Waboso) arrive unexpectedly(thought y'all were coming Thursday). Nothing spoil sha. Heard talks bout "y'all have anything to drink?" at 3am in the morning. Was soon to find out what the deal really was. Wahala girls for real.
Thursday - The Maryland crew(Obinna Offurum and his boys) show up. Some down-to-earth peeps. Didn't waste time to start "Sippin on some Syrup". "The girls from Canada" were more than happy to see y'all, ya heard.
Later that night - Onome Agomate, David Onomivbori and Oby(thought she went to U.D.S.S. for a minute) roll in. You need to see the tape. "Welcome to Houston!!!". Onome, you be wahala too! "She no dey hear word. She is 'cool people' though."
Anyway, everyone wanted to go out that night - "to get your trips worth huh". Everyone represented their hoods but had to tell 'em, "Cool down, groove never start sef. Don't Front".
Friday - Naija Mixer: Did we steal the show or what? Much props to Obinna.
Nobody gree say e don do, so we hit the club afterwards. I never see where person see fun dey run from am. After much "dropping it like it's hot", while everyone was trying to sneak out without being noticed and called out for being tired, we all simultaneously met outside with the same facial expression; " i don tire" (was very funny). Onome can give a better account(had to call you out). "That's what you were looking for."
Saturday - We had an improvised Brunch. Chinedum and Chidi Olisemeka joined in. We were bout 18(hey, some folks didn't make it that morning - maya). Was fun man. Check out the pics.
"Don't forget the Drinks" was the slogan henceforth. Obinna, well, you say you no go ride with me now. Hmmm, after a 10 minute drive with "The girls from Canada", we heard "Your friend is fucked up." "O boy you still never tell us wetin happen inside that truck. The transformation was WHOA!!!
The Naija Social Night gathering was great.
Sunday - Picnic. Obinna see drink run(laughs). Went in an unprecedented convoy. Ended early. Some out-of -towner decided to test them Laws, so the Cops ended the groove. "Don't mess with Texas". My answering machine still has a collect call message from the county jail. She still dey there now. Jokes apart(nah! just playing.) You feel me though right?
Aftermath - David stole the show in the parking lot. Gyration started. "O boy i no know say groove dey your body like that o!" Onome departed(wished she postponed her flight.)
I missed the Banquet("Drinks") later that night. Someone will have to cover up for me on that night.
Heard was much Gyration though. Isaac (Obinna's boy)stole the spotlight.
Kerendu, paid her dues to "DRINKS" too.
Monday - The Maryland crew left. "DRINKS" claimed another victim; "Eve"(wetin be her real name self) from 'The girls from Canada'. Went to the Close out Party. Naijas represented big time. You for see flossing: TEXAS BALLAS doing their thang.
Alvin(o boy where u dey since?) starts making waves. "The boy dey sing no be small. Album in stores next year".
Tuesday(Independence Day) - Alvin takes charge.(laughing). "The singing never do you"? You be my boy, I ain't gon'n call you out, but damn... Most of you must have heard by now....geez
Anyway, we chop barbecue tire. The guys passed out. "we self don tire. We never sleep since this wakka start."
Stayed up late that night unwinding. Everybody refused to drink (laughing).
Wednesday - "The Last of the Mohicans" depart. Very emotional day!!!
This ain't even close to the real deal. I was amazed by the bonding(considering we were all from different sets). Good looking out everybody.
I am still "rolling" from flashbacks of that week. I am leaving alot of things out, make i no start vendetta. Much Love everybody. Somehow, we have to keep this reunion thing going.
Never thought there could be anything close to reliving U.D.S.S. If you missed it,kai, you fuck up.
Next time, "Fuck what you heard, take your ass there".
Y'all be good, I'm out
Emeka
PS "DRINKS"(waving finger in the air)
......I'm still laughing my ass off

First off, I'd like to say what an EXCELLENT time my sister and I had during our 5 week stay in the states. Thank you to all the old friends we spent time with, stayed with and new friends we made.
DAVID.... I love you. It was so good to see you after all this time. Thank you for everything!
About Houston, what can I say.
DRINKS !!! EVERYBODY GYRATE !!!
It was one experience I'm glad I didn't miss. Thank you to Oje and Emeka for putting out a whole lot so we could all have a good time. Dabo thanks for being there too.
The UDSS reunion was absolutely amazing. Michael Ibeku and I were the youngest graduating year of '96 amidst alumni from '88 to '94. I would never have had the opportunity to be around all y'all and I'm glad I did.
For everyone else who missed it, I'll say that the reunion left fractions of the whole experience in everyone who atttended. It brought us closer together in such a short time.
To Onome, Ohita, Oby, Osamuede, Kerendu, Sodi, Amanda, Chika, David, Oje, Emeka, Dabo(Inseibe Gates), obinna, Isaac, Ayo, Alvin, Yemi, Kainne, Michael, Darego, Alali, Michelle you all made Houston one big ol' memorable experience.
The unity built in coming from so many different places to be together on the basis of being UDSS alumni was fulfilling. Everyone been dey emotional when we commot H-town. Me I know say I cry o..(anyone else willing to admit!)
To all my Hotlanta peeps....Chuck, Unoma and Patrick, thank you for the time I spent with you. 'IT'S BETTER' you all know how much I enjoyed my time with you. Keep it twinkling and glistening....
I hear that plans are on for next yr's reunion. I hope that there'll be more of us there and it'll be even better. Mos def I'll be there!
St.Louis peeps....sorry I didn't come back in time to be with all of you but to David, Yemi and Yemi B, thank you.
The time has come to go back to reality(The Queen's country) where I'll get dropped real hard on the ground after all this fun. I'll miss IHOP and all those pancakes, all that good rap that never gets to London and all the slangs I picked up from everyone.......
Love, Eghosa
....and it don't stop
