"When we must change our opinion of a person, we hold him accountable for the inconvenience he causes us."
- Friedrich Nietzsche
I most definitely understand this quote because I have had various experiences in my own personal life to back this statement up.  Some of these incidents may leave people hurt adn in very much emotional pain.  Other times it leaves people extremely upset and angry toward the person who caused "the inconvenience".
There are many examples in the media world.  Many political figures as well.  In my own experience I have known may people to tell constant lies about themselves.  At first one might think they are interesting then realize that one should not always accept what that person says. I have even know parents who lead their children to believe that they are wonderful rules models and that they have no major faults when in fact it is the total opposite.  Those parents are actually in illegal drugs, alcohol, adultrey, and may even be considering suicide.
Many times have I seen and experienced this type of behavior, and there is no one to blame except the person who commited the offense.  It is they who change the minds of they are acquaintances.
