The bombing of Hiroshima took place first.  Then three days later was the bombing of Nagasaki.  This was a very controversal event, however, there are--in my opinion--no good arguments on why the deed should not have been carried out.

On this day the King of Rock 'n' Roll died of a heart attack.  He lived in Graceland in Memphis, Tennessee.  Some of his number one hits include "Hound Dog", "Are You Lonesome Tonight", and "All Shook Up".

Too bad I don't have a picture because this man is a cutey.  He's actually my husband.  At least he will be in the future. Well, he doesn't know it yet.  So what if he's 17 years older than I!  Any way, this guy is well known for his part of young Pippin Took from The Lord of the Rings trilogy.
