This page is dedicated to expounding the depths of Messianic Prophecies

What that means is; The one called Jesus Christ was told by each of the Old Testament Prophets, When the promised Messiah would come, what family lineage he would come through, what he would endure, what it would mean for us and do for us. There is one thing to take in account: It is imposible for God to lie.

Lets begin by seeing a few very important basics.
Genesis 49:10 "The scepter shall not depart from Judah, nor a lawgiver from between his feet, until Shiloh come; and unto him shall the gathering of the people be."

This word "Shiloh" means "Messiah" The Christ, The Anointed one. Every well learned person in Rabbinical studies is aware that the time period of when Jesus was born, this prophecy was fulfilled, because the secular government took away their power of performing all the law of the Jews. All who were studying closly, in Jesus time, knew that either God lied, or Messiah was there, somewhere! And everyone knew God could not lie!

Another thing to notice; This new covenant is not something made up by non-Jews; In Jeremiah 31:31 through 34
"Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel, and with the house of Judah:
Not according to the covenant that I made with their fathers in the day that I took them by the hand to bring them out of the land of Egypt; which my covenant they brake, although I was a husband unto them, saith the LORD:
But this shall be the covenant that I will make with the house of Israel; After those days, saith the LORD, I will put my law in their inward parts, and write it in their hearts; and will be their God, and they shall be my people.
And they shall teach no more every man his neighbor, and every man his brother, saying, Know the LORD: for they shall all know me, from the least of them to the greatest of them, saith the LORD: for I will forgive their iniquity, and I will remember their sin no more."

In the Old Covenant, there was always being made a sacrifice for sins, but now here from Jeremiah, we see God had a new way, a covenant that he said, "I will remember their sin no more"

It should be good, if I assume not everyone who comes here even knows what a "Covenant" is. For the benifit of anyone not knowing much about this yet, In the bible, we see two covenants, or testaments; The 1st was the covenant or testament, or "agreement" between God and man, called the old covenant; The 2nd, called the New Covenant, or new testament, or new agreement between God and man. The Covenants God made for us are like a "will" that a person writes, designating how their belongings will be distributed after they die.
Both the old and new covenants were not valid without the shedding of blood; just like we find of this new testament, that it was not valid until after Jesus gave his life on the cross.

Now I will point out ; God made the promise to Abraham 430 years before the law came. The law did not disannul the promise ; While now, after the new covenant was made, and cut, being made by the shedding of Messiahs blood; That now with a new covenant, the 1st is old and no longer valid as an agreement between God and man, as far as the law of it goes, for now, even as He said, he writes the law in our inward parts, in our heart; This did not either disannul the propmise of Abraham, but it removed the covenant that prevented the promise from manifesting.

Look all around the world, to see Who could have fulfilled thousands of years of prophecy concerning who Messiah would be;
Mohammed was born 571 years after The Shiloh period; Buddha was born about 560 years before the Shiloh period. Now look at all the hundreds of prophecies concerning details of The Messiah, and we know and see and understand; there was only One who came at that time, and all the dates around the world revolve around the date of Jesus Christ BC/AD; There is literally No other candidate. Only this Jesus.

We can go on for a Very long time, just telling about the prophecies of Jesus, not to mention the prophecies concerning those who follow him. Just look in a concordance under the word "written" as in "it was written", and you will see hundreds of verses about this.
But lets look at some about Jesus. In Isaiah 53, It is loaded with messiahanic prophecies. like verse 5: "But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed."

And from the Prophet Micah 5:2 "But thou Bethlehem Ephratah, though thou be little among the thousands of Judah, yet out of thee shall he come forth unto me that is to be ruler in Israel; whose goings forth have been from of old, from everlasting."

Isaiah 7:14 "Therefore the Lord himself shall give you a sign; Behold, a virgin shall conceive, and bear a son, and shall call his name Immanuel." The name Emmanuel means "God with us"; notice the prophecy before, it said " from everlasting" See! this is talking about God being manifested in the form of sinful man. Yet this one had no sin, being conceived of the Holy Ghost, and not by the act of man.

Exodus 12:46"neither shall ye break a bone thereof." Also seen in Numbers 9:12" They shall leave none of it unto the morning, nor break any bone of it: according to all the ordinances of the passover they shall keep it."
These passages told us of when Jesus was crucified, how they would not break his legs to quicken his death on the eve of Sabbath. For the passover was a prophecy in itself, likened to the Messiah.

Most of you saw the movie by Mel Gibson ,The Passion of the Christ. In the movie, you recall when Jesus travailed in pains of prayer just before being taken, and the devil let out a snake that , when Jesus rose up, he stomped on it. That was put in the movie symbolic of Genesis 3:15 "And I will put enmity between thee and the woman, and between thy seed and her seed; it shall bruise thy head, and thou shalt bruise his heel."
We notice, that a woman doesn't have seed, the man does; This was prophecy about the woman Mary conceiving of the Holy Ghost, and when Jesus paid for our sins on the cross, that stomped the devil, like Genesis 3:15 said.
Isaiah28:16 "Therefore thus saith the Lord God, Behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation a stone, a tried stone, a precious corner stone, a sure foundation: he that believeth shall not make haste."

Zechariah 3:8&9 "for, behold, I will bring forth my servant the BRANCH. For behold the stone that I have laid before Joshua; upon one stone shall be seven eyes: behold, I will engrave the graving thereof, saith the LORD of hosts, and I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day."
Revelation 5:6 "And I beheld, and, lo, in the midst of the throne and of the four beasts, and in the midst of the elders, stood a Lamb as it had been slain, having seven horns and seven eyes, which are the seven Spirits of God sent forth into all the earth."
Isaiah 11:1 "And there shall come forth a rod out of the stem of Jesse, and a Branch shall grow out of his roots:"

Now, looking at the lineage of Jesus, as recorded in the Gospel of Luke 3:31&32 " which was the son of David, which was the son of Jesse,"

If you dont believe in Jesus,or, your just not all that sure; consider all that you read here; that throughout thousands of years, the prophets of God each fortold the exact details of Jesus Christ. How could so much exact detail be accident?
If you do believe; seeing so much of Christ fortold by the prophets of old, this solidifies our faith very strong; For the revelation of Jesus to our spirit now becomes even more confident by the word.
