Nena de Vita (born Nevena Vitošević, Beograd, 1967), graduate in world literature, is about to defend her M.A. thesis at the Department for Theatrical Studies. 

Her published collections of poetry are: “Sacrificial Altar” (1982), “A Prayer for a Man Walking along the Railroad” (1991 - First Award for young poets of 20th Ratkovic Evenings of Poetry), “I Caress You with White Wings” (1998), and a book of verse - reflections on love “A Being that Loves...” (1998). Her drama “The Park” won the Isak Samokovlija Award (1986); also holder of an Essay Award for 1996 at the Lim Evenings of Poetry. In addition to poetry, Nena publishes and illustrates books for children: Book of Magic (1994, Belgrade Book Fair Best Design Award), “Dr. Joy in the Land of Fantasy” (1995), and “Elementary Reader Cirilko” (1996).

Mila Filipović, born by chance in Uzice, in 1962. Since then, she turned down a path, and delved into the magic of the magical radio box, naively forgetting that only a moment is magical and that magic is easily rejected. Graduate in journalism from Belgrade University, she took part in creation of many radio shows, and was a director of Radio Uzice from 1991 till 1995. She outgrew all her naiveté with the desire to fly and fly away over the big waters, without fear of leaving traces, ready to be an emotional immigrant. From April 1, 1996. she lives and works in Chicago as a contributor to "Vesti" daily (Chicago), magazine "Kisobran" (Canada) and "Sloboda". She preserved her language and writing inclination, staying faithful to only that love. Apart from journalism, she continues to write literature - soon to come a collection of short stories "Parts of myself" and collection of interviews from the US - "Crossword Puzzle".).
With her best friend, Snezana Boskovic, in October of year 2000, she published a novel "Concentric Circles", "about those that left and for those that can read". The book has been written during her first 3 years in the US, and talks about dilemmas of leaving, searching and not finding.

This novel has a form of a mail correspondence between two friends (one in Serbia, the other in the US), and talks about a friendship necessary to survive the last decade in Serbian history. It is a story of two shores, our migrations, love, politics, moral and beliefs of two protagonists, Dunja and Ana, and some authentic people from Serbia and the US in 1996. and 1997.
