Hello and welcome to the first ever African Association Web page.  The University of Iowa African Association was started in 1972 for the soul purpose of creating an environment, which enhances the educational development of Africans in the U of  I and its surrounding communities. Its aims and objectives among other things include

  • To stimulate interest in African affairs among Africans, as well as non-Africans at the University of Iowa and it's surrounding communities.

  •                                             AND

    • To create a more secure environment of solidarity for Africans in Iowa City and promote and uphold the legitimate interests of Africans at the University.

These noble objectives project the association as a social and cultural organization that is one of the major cords that promote diversity at the University of Iowa.
