1/ Saturday seminar
Last weeks healing seminar was cancelled due to a visit from the IGTSDA Greek reps.
Kostas and Chris asked many questions and I hope I managed to answer some of them successfully. My understanding is that the Greece team for the 2003 IGTSDA world championships will be around 60 strong (Thanks to easy jet)
2/ Healing success
I turned up to Wednesday's lesson feeling a bit under the weather, with a sore throat, and as a result I was unable to ki up.
Mark gave me some Silver Water, told me to gargle with it, which I did for about 2 mins during the lesson then drank some more of it that evening.
I was not aware of these minerals aiding healing so needless to say I was a bit sceptical.
Well I worked a 24hr shift that night web server issues and techie stuff like that so I was back at work that evening by 10pm and did not get home to bed till the following Thursday morning, I had noticed my throat had improved, but was worried I would get run down again as a result of being tired.
Well I slept till 5pm Thursday evening and my throat was fixed and I felt great, I thought fantastic as I wanted to be fit and healthy for my wild party nights down town on the coming Saturday, and that I certainly was.
I also found it works a treat on a Sunday hangover!, oh yes by 9am I was on my gym.
Personally I think this stuff should be Bottled, Labelled and Sold, Master Marks Miracle Medicine.
Cheers Mark I will give you your bottle back next lesson.
Asa
Thanks for the kind message Asa, the silver works on many levels and has been used for years to keep liquids like milk fresh and safe to drink (Silver containers). Due to the introduction of antibiotics the power of silver was forgotten. Now as the antibiotics are starting to fail the silver is making a come back. Silver enhanced creams are now being used in burns units.
A few years ago I was in hospital with a strange tropical disease after a holiday in Mexico, (I was quiet ill, had not eaten for 6 days and had a very high temperature) after a week of tests and puzzled faces I took some colloidal silver and left the next day. Needless to say the doctors were not impressed.
Colloidal silver increases Chi flow in the body.

8/ Hak Won Hyungs. (From an earlier newsletter)
Hak Won Hyung means "Academy form" (Kata) after working on our basic form one and utilising every possible movement for martial arts application, energy enhancement, joint safety and physical/mental de-stress. Its time to sort out forms 2 and 3.
For form 2 we have changed the kick to an outside/inside crescent kick. This will take the strain off the knee joints, allow an upright posture for realistic self defence. The motion of the kick gains ki energy and de-stresses the body. The ballistic stretching motion will indicate to the student the mobility of the leg (start low and work up) and then any problems can be addressed (trapped nerves in the lower back, tight calf/psoas muscles effecting the hamstrings etc.)
The change in stances and leg movement are carried over from the first form. The back stance is now a rear leg kicking stance, with the back foot at 45 degrees to protect the knee and gain greater mobility. The front stance now follows nature golden ratio PHI 1:1.618.
For the 3rd form we have changed the kick to a 45 degree round kick. This change is for all the same reasons as the change for form 2. The 45 degree round kick looks like a high kick but the target on the opponent is Gall Bladder point number 31 on the side of the leg, the follow though makes it look high and dynamic. The inside/outside block motion has been change to take the strain off the shoulder and the punches are all 45 degree to align the bones of the arm for strength and again to take the strain off the shoulder joint.
9/ Natural Bandage
Scientists in the US have created a new material that could potentially be developed into a "natural bandage" that is absorbed by the body after the healing process has taken place.
The new material, developed by researchers at Virginia Commonwealth University, is a "nano-fibre" mat spun from strands of fibrinogen, which are 1,000 times thinner than a human hair.
Fibrinogen is a compound that occurs naturally in the bloodstream and is involved in the clotting process during wound healing. When the clotting mechanism is activated, fibrinogen is broken down by chemical reactions and converted to fibrin.
"Fibrin is the meshwork, the netting," explains lead author Dr Gary Bowlin, professor of biomedical engineering at the university. "It's like throwing a net over the clot that holds it together and keeps it from dissolving quickly."
After the blood clot is formed and stabilised by the fibrin meshwork, the natural healing processes begin.
Using a technique called electrospinning, the researchers were able to produce fibrinogen stands of the same dimension as those found in a natural clot. These fibres were then successfully woven into a material with a texture similar to that of thin cotton.
The researchers say the new mat can be placed on a wound to start the clotting process, then left there to promote healing and eventually be absorbed by the body. They add that it could be used for anything from a small cut to a major wound in which it is vital to stop the bleeding while waiting for proper medical attention.
The researchers have previously used the electrospinning technique to make synthetic blood vessels from collagen, and say that there could be many more potential applications for this type of technology
