1/ IGTSDA Argentina
Dear Master Adlington,
Hope you and your family be good.
It“s a sad time for me: definitively I have to abandon the last possibility
to attend IGTSDA LONDON 2003 CHAMPIONSHIP.
The situation in my country since December 2001 was critical in
social & economic ways. So the few students that originally thought
to attend with me at Championships, had to abandon the idea.
And now some personal situations forces me to resign the idea
of my own presence at Championships.
I wish to all you the greatest success in IGTSDA Championships.
I will be in spirit with you.
Really I hope Argentina“s team can be present in 2005 at
South Africa“s IGTSDA Championships.

3/ Joke Blonde in Pain
A blonde told her doctor that she was really worried because every part of her body hurt.
The doctor looked concerned and said, "Show me where."
The blonde touched her own arm and screamed, "Ouch!"
Then she touched her leg and screamed, "Ouch!"
She touched her nose and cried, "Ouch!"
She looked at her doctor and said, "See? It hurts everywhere!"
The doctor laughed and said, "Don't worry; it's not serious. You've just got a broken index finger."

Influenza "a serious bioterrorism threat"
The influenza virus has the potential to pose a far greater bioterror risk than smallpox or anthrax, according to US researchers.
Writing in the Journal of the Royal Society of Medicine, Dr Mohammed Madjid and colleagues from the University of Texas say influenza is four times more deadly than previously thought.
A study by the researchers indicated that flu-related death estimates of 20,000 people per year in the US should be revised to more than 90,000 per year after taking into account the virus's effect on the heart.
They warn that, since scientists have almost finished sequencing the flu genome of 1918 that killed around 40 million people, such information could be used by terrorists to create more virulent strains of the virus.
Theoretically, says Dr Madjid, a terrorist could release a genetically modified virus on public transport, such as an airliner or train, using an aerosol, which would be a much more effective way of transmission than relying on personal contact.
"Even a natural epidemic of influenza can devastate our healthcare system and render society vulnerable to terrorism attacks of any kind," he said.
Dr Madjid added that, although many bioterror warnings have focused on diseases such as smallpox, influenza is potentially a more serious virus as an initial attack in small clusters would not necessarily be noticed and once an epidemic has begun it would be more difficult to immunise against, as the incubation period is short.
In view of the added threat of "weaponised flu", Dr Madjid suggests a number of proposals that governments should employ to combat the threat.
These include better security for key laboratories and vaccine manufacturers, stockpiling antiviral drugs, improved flu immunisation programmes and expanded disease surveillance - perhaps offering doctors incentives for reporting cases of flu.

Team Sparring will have to under go a major change. We have some junior teams with no one to fight and we are still waiting for some countries to confirm their teams. Some have two females in the team and some have the wrong ages. We may have to organize this on the day the only problem is ordering the correct amount of trophies.
We planned for 400 entries and now have 393 then I realised I had not put the 7 Masters that have entered down, I'll let you do the maths (Math USA LOL) SPOOKY!
