1/ British Championships feedback

Master Adlington,

I would like to thank you all and all the students for a fantastic day at the British Championships recently....TGI had a great day and it was a pleasure to meet so many Tang Soo Do exponents who truly believe and behave in the correct manner. It was good to see that we can all meet up on such an occasion with Tang Soo Do being the real winner. We're looking forward to meeting up again in the near future.

Yours in Tang Soo

Les Edmondson

Dear Master Adlington and colleagues.

On behalf of myself and those members of Tiger Gym who attended the above event I would like to convey thanks to yourself and all organisers for the kind invitation and for the hospitality extended to us all. I know that I speak for them all when I say that we all thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and look forward to attending future events. I would also like to single out Master Peter O`Toole for praise for the most professional way he conducted his arena, I was impressed with his confidence and control. (This of course in no way detracts from the other referees/judges who also did a wonderful job). Once again our warmest thanks !!

6/ IGTSDA World Champs 2003

Any champs discussion points can be addressed at the Master class on the 27th April. The entry forms have now started coming in please do not be the 351st entry! we only have so much room at the London venue.
After the British Championships last weekend we are now looking at a maximum of 350 competitors for the world champs any more and we will need a bigger venue. A bigger venue this time around is now not a practical option. There are many new instructors and Master instructors interested in the IGTSDA championships so get your entry forms in ASAP or you maybe to late.

The championship venue is outside the £5 congestion charge zone for central London. (Its very easy to get to from the M11)

Team events, please try to have Black Belts in all the teams events if possible and do not make extra teams with coloured belts.

Team forms for the world championships are free!
As a good will gesture Master Adlington and Mr Fernandez agreed to include this free event at our IGTSDA world championships July next year.

Each country can enter 2 teams.
Junior team X5 students under 16years old.
Senior team X5 students 16 years and above.
Any combination of male and female.

Please show us where you are from on the guest map.

7/ Feedback from Master McCann's seminar

Andy,

Just a quick line to thank you for a superb session last night (31/3/03). Everyone was really impressed with your knowledge, skills and excellent explanations and commentary. Your open minded approach was like a breath of fresh air and although we might not agree on everything e.g. kata bunkai, that in no way diminished my enjoyment and I certainly learned a great deal in a comparatively short time. With a lot of practice, I hope we can perform some of the techniques you demonstrated a little better before we see you again.

We are a very traditional wado ryu karate club and have trained with Tatsuo Suzuki, 8th dan Hanshi, for many years (some of us for over 30 years!) and are not always easily impressed.

Once again many thanks,

Keith Thomas (5th dan)

Wado International Karate Federation (Wales).'

'Andy

I just like to thank you again for your time and effort on Monday, from the feedback I've had so far everyone thoroughly enjoyed. From a personal point of view I found the 'players' approach very interesting and am looking forward to learning more to supplement my training. Maybe if you have time we could try to set-up something a little more regular.

Also if possible I would be interested in seeing what 'self defence' training you do for women, and whether you do any instructors courses with regards to teaching this.

Mark Thomas (2nd dan)

Wado International Karate Federation (Wales).'

'Sir I trained in neath karate club on the 31/03/03 when you took a introductory class and I got very interested in what you showed us and i would like to learn some more I am a 1st dan in wado ryu for which i have trained for about 13years would it be possible for you to tell me the training times and days and where you train.
Thankyou
Mark Tancock'
