Tubby breaks another record
"Vanderbilt is what Kentucky use to be"  This is what one of the TV announcers said toward the end of the game where Tubby handed Vanderbilt its first win ever in Rupp Arena.  While I don't think Vanderbit is as good as Kentucky was in the past, I can somewhat agree with the announcer.  If we do not do something quick Kentucky will just become a team of the past.  I feel that Tubby is taking us down that path.  This could be worse than the probation years.  At least then we were able to get rid of the coach and we could look forward to better days with a new coach.

Let see what Tubby has managed to do this year.  He managed to give Indiana a 26 point win over us.  Mike Davis's first win against Kentucky.  Then if you thought it could not get worse, Kansas, unrated at the time managed to get a 27 point win over us.  Then we start SEC play, a conference we are supposed to "own," with a loss to Vanderbilt a team that has never beat us in Rupp arena.

You can defend Tubby all you want, saying its the players fault and blah, blah, blah.  Tubby is in in 9th season as coach. 3 of his past seasons have ended in at least 10 losses and one in 9 losses..  We have not had a final four appearence since  1998.  Tubby has won several SEC titles, but thats not much of an accomplishment in a conference that we are supposed to "own."  It is time that all Kentucky fans need to see the light and  realiize that Tubby Smith is not what Kentucky needs.
