For all you nattering naybobs of negativity, did you even watch the last few games? Our progress, while slow, certainly is steady. Take for example the play of Bobby Perry...he's a kid who knows how to be confident in his shot. It hasn't always been that way. I remember a day when he wouldn't shoot. Now he will. So what if he can't shoot. That'll come later. And how about Bradley. I can tell that he is improving with his shot selection (as is everyone for that matter). Fact is, he use to go down every play and go one on one with the defender without utilizing his team mates or a game plan. He only does that 75% of the time now.

Lets not forget Sparks. The much ballyhooed shooter from Central City. Can anyone deny the effect of David HObbs shot coaching. We have seen a kid who was overly confident when shooting finely come to understand his role. Not enough can be said about Shagari. I thought this kid would never contribute, and look at him now. No one can deny Tubby's work with big men. See Orbzut if you are a doubter. This fella is destined for greatness somewhere. It may not all sink in until he leaves Kentucky but let there be no doubt, any success he should ever come by will be the result of playing here, and any failures his own.

I think what we really need is more shot correction from Hobbs and to tone down our recruiting. It maybe that we are recruiting to well, and our problems exist as a result of having too many good players. Who would deny Sheray Thomas his leadership roleo n this team. BY the way, I cant beleive how well Sims is developing. Truly, to go from Juco All Star to this level of play is as astounding as what Antwaan Barbour did, and all credit to the staff on that (they say lightening doesn't strike twice).

We have also played the toughest schedule in AMerica, guys. Seriously. Look at how we wore ourselves out lately with top teams such as the Freshman Phenomenon from NOrth Carolina (no way we win that - especially at Rupp where their team got to warm up the day of the game like us). How 'bout Mike Davis and Indiana, he is a steady personality that we all knew would haunt us someday. Then, after that we grind it out against such powerhouses as Ohio, Iona and UCF - can't believe we escaped with wins there, those teams are on their way to the annals of basketball history. Need I even mention Kansas. Our game plan simply didn't come together. With Morris back - we win that game. ANd they are ranked in the top 35. Now Vandy. It had to happen sometime. And they are incredibly good. Hell they might win it all this year.

All that said, who here could critisize the creative mind work of Hobbs, recruiting of Rigot, or the flexibility of Tubby. Its a combo for the ages. All who doubt are not real fans and need to go root for some other team as it is obvious you will never recognize greatness.
