England has a rich heritage dating back to times beyound our knowledge. No one knows who the first settlers were for certain. The Romans expanded their empire to the british isles in 43AD. England was then taken over by the Anglo-Saxons. After them came the Normans who built the famed tower of London to protect London Bridge from incomng enimies. This mixture of cultures led to a unique mix of people. the romano-Britons were pushed to the west by the Anglo Saxons, as they founded vilages around London to avoid city life. The Bubonic Plague was hard on England as it was the rest of Europe. After that England grew and expanded it's resouces. The English began to have the ships in the world a trait which would end up changing our world forever. As the Empire expanded American Colonies were started and virous other colonies all over the world. In 1776 The Decloration of Independence was signed and sent to King George. The Americans won their independence and the English were stunned that they lost to abunch of farmers with pitchforks. |
