Compose an altar:
place a censer in the center before an image of the Goddess.
Have a 12-inch (or so) round mirror there as well.
Ring the altar with 9 white candles.
Burn a protective incense (such as frankincense, sandalwood, copal or rosemary) in the censer.
Beginning with the candle most directly before the Goddess image, say these or similar words:
"Lunar Light, protect me!"
Repeat as you light each candle until all are glowing.
Now, holding the mirror, invoke the Goddess in Her Lunar aspect with these or similar words:
"Great Goddess of the Lunar Light And Mistress of the Seas;
Great Goddess of the Mystic night And of the Mysteries;
Within this place of candles bright And with your mirror nigh;
Protect me with your awesome night While ill vibrations fly!"
Standing before the altar, hold the mirror facing the candles so that it reflects their flames.
Keeping the mirror toward the candles, move slowly, clockwise around the altar,
watching the reflected firelight bouncing off your surroundings.
Gradually increase your speed, mentally invoking the Goddess to protect you.
More faster and faster, watch the light shattering the air, cleansing it,
burning away all negativity and all lines along which the ill energies have traveled into your house.
Charge your home with the protective light of the Goddess.
Race around the candles until you've felt the atmosphere change, until you feel that your home has been cleansed and guarded by the Great Goddess.
When finished, stand once again before the image.
Thank the Goddess in any words you wish.
Pinch out the candles one by one, bind them together with white cords and store them in safe place until
( & if) you need to use them again for the same purpose.
Sit or stand before any fire.
Look into the flames (or flame, if using a candle).
Visualize the fire bathing you with glowing, protective light.
The fire creates a flaming, shimmering sphere around you.
If you wish, say the following or similar words:
"Craft the spell in the fire;
Craft it well; Weave it higher.
Weave it now of shining flame;
None shall come to hurt or maim.
None shall pass this fiery wall;
None shall pass No, none at all."
Repeat this simple yet effective ritual every day or when in need
With the first and middle fingers, trace a pentagram over the object to be protected.
Visualize electric-blue or purple flame streaming from your fingers to form the pentagram.
Say this as you trace:
"With this pentagram I lay
Protection here both night and day.
And the one who should not touch
let his fingers burn and twitch.
I now invoke the law of three:
This is my will, so it be!"
Here is a protection chant to protect you from evil,
you should do this before and after doing spells,
Visualize your self sitting in the middle of the pentagram
facing upwards with 3 circles of purple light round you
and say:
"Protect me with all your might
Oh Goddess gracious day and night
say it three times then end it with
"So it be.
another version of the same spell just different words
is: "Thrice around the circle's bound
Sink all evil to the ground "
say it three times and end it with
"So it be"
"By the dragons light,
on this (month) night
I call to thee
to give me your might,
by the power of three,
I conjure thee,
to protect all that,
surrounds me, so it be,
so it be! so it be!"
Protection chant for out-door spells:
Before attempting spells at night, out-doors, take up
a blessed object (wand for instance) and draw a pentagram in the air.
Imagine the pentagram glowing
and the evil around being trapped inside until after
your spells,
chant:
"Hail fair moon
Ruler of the night;
Guard me and mine
Until the light "
Fill a jar with Rosemary, needles, and pins.
Say as you do
"Pins, needles, rosemary and wine.
In this witches bottle of mine.
Guard against harm and entity.
This is my will so it be."
When the jar is full pour in red wine and place on cap/cork.
Drip red or black candle wax around the seal then bury at furtherest point of your property.
Or place in an inconspicuous point in your house.
(When you feel scared or otherwise)
"May the powers of the One,
the source of all creation;
all-pervasive, omnipotent, eternal;
May the goddess,
the Lady of the Moon;
and the God,
Horned Hunter of the Sun;
may the powers of the spirits of the Watchtowers,
rulers of elemental realms;
may the powers of the stars above and Earth below,
bless this place, this time,
and I who am with you."
To magically safeguard you,
find a small mirror, preferably one that fits nicely into a pocket,
purse or camera case, etc.
Hold the mirror in your hands and turn it counter clockwise
three times repeating this incantation each time:
"Dilemmas deflect;
evil avert;
Bad luck reflect;
all problems divert."
Then turn it clockwise three times,
saying
"Artemis, in this mirror shine
So that safety will be mine."
This spell erects a barrier of well being around you, so that no ill will can affect your well being.
This is useful if you are depressed about people spreading false and malicious gossip about you.
This simple spell allows you to protect yourself from these negative influences.
In privacy and complete darkness light a pink candle and hold it in your hands.
Take a deep breath and stand as tall as you can.
Facing east, raise the candle high above your head for a moment.
Bring the candle down to eye level and hold it there while you slowly turn in a clockwise direction
three times concentrating on the blue part of the flame.
Raising the candle high again, invoke the powers of nature by whispering: -
"I bind to myself this day,
The swiftness of the wind,
The power of the sea,
The hardness of the rocks,
The endurance of the earth. "
As you stand still for a moment, imagine a white light surrounding your body like a cocoon.
Then take another deep breath and blow the candle out.
"By the power of the rising sun,
All evil in my life is done.
By the power of the darkening night,
my shield is strong, my armor tight.
By full moon in blackened sky,
I am not alone, My help is nigh.
The goddess' hands around me stay,
to keep me safe by night and day.
Be gone, foul spirits unbidden here,
I send you back, I do not fear.
For I have won, I am set free.
You have no further power over me."
There are some people who can invade your dreams, who can travel astrally to your home,
or even drain your energy while you sleep.
If you think someone's spirit may be visiting you or your home when you are asleep,
try this:
Wrap three fresh apple seeds in a white cloth pouch.
Tie the pouch closed.
Don't lose the seeds.
Safety pin the pouch to the pillow you sleep on.
Sleep with the pouch attached to your pillow for seven nights.
At the end of the seven nights,
remove the three seeds from the pouch and toss them out your front door.
On the off chance that a spirit is leaving it's body and traveling to your home,
this will make it impossible for it to enter the house.
Needed: Amber and a white candle
If you feel you are being subjected to heavy negativity,
light a white candle and place it on the ground or floor.
Sit before it with a handful of small amber beads or pieces, and using them,
create a circle around yourself.
Sit within the circle while restoring your energy
and closing yourself to any and all outside influences.
Repeat as necessary.
Place nine small beads or pieces of amber into a bath of very warm water.
Soak in the tub until the water cools, then retrieve the amber, towel off,
and carry or wear one of the beads or pieces until your next bath.
Items: Pet fur - red thread of silk - canister
Ritual: Take some fur of the cat (shed fur will do nicely).
Tie the fur into a bunch with some red thread
(silk by preference, although cotton or even acrylic will do).
Invoke the blessing of your patron deity.
Place consecrated fur into a canister (the following is imperative!).
The canister must be reflective on the outside,
but NOT on the inside.
Seal the canister with red wax (just a dab will do)
Place canister next to pet's usual exit.
Red is the colour of protection, silk is an insulator,
the reflective canister reflects malicious intent,
and the blessing is for extra whammy to the spell.
