Tobias and Rachel go and free a female Red-Tail that is being cruelly treated for TV advertisments at a used car depot (against Jake's orders, who gets annoyed upon finding out).
Tobias is perminantly a Red-Tailed Hawk. He's having trouble adapting to his new life. Jake leaves him food and has a drawer Tobias sleeps in, but its not enough. He cannot live much longer like this. He starts to go mad. One day, riding the thermals, he feels a presence above him. But nothing is there. The next day he watches the spot all day, and 'sees' it again. it hit some geese and where they hit he sees metal. He knows it's a Yeerk ship, and he has a feeling it's heading towards the mountains. The others morph wolves while he flies in a direct line from where he saw the cloaked ship. They find some park rangers. The wierd thing is, they are toting automatics and hanging with Hork-Bajir. They are clearing the area around a lake. Tobias and the others continue to investagate and discover that the ship collects water and air for the Yeerk Mother Ship. They morph trout and allow themselves to be sucked into a pipe and destroy the ship from the inside. Tobias starts accepting he is hawk aswell as human. He finds himself a meadow and starts his new life as a hawk... |
