Ax wants to go home, and hopfully, if he gets there, he will be able to pursuade the Andalite fleet that Earth is a priority. The thing is, they need a ship... and they think they know how they are going to get one.
They take Ax to the Mall in his human morph. Big mistake. They loose Ax TWICE. The second time, after gathering all they need at Radio Shack, Ax demorphs infront of crowds of people. Security guards chace him, Jake and Marco out of the building. The Animorphs run across the road to a small Grocery store. Here, they spot a way out. They stuff their things into a dustbin and morph into lobsters they found in a lobster tank. Some woman buys them and was just about to cook them when they demorph! They convince her it was a dream and run off. After retreaving the stuff they bought from the bin, Ax makes the destress beacon. But there is something missing. A Z-Space Transponder. Luckily, a certain Assistant Principle has one... They morph ants and sneak into Chapman's basement. They steal the disk and escape with it. Other ants attack and they HAVE to demorph. The alternatuive? Certain death. With the destress beacon working, they fly off too a quarry and try it out. Marco decides this will be his last mission. Their trap becomes Visser Three's trap. The Bug fighter lands and, upon attacking it, 100 Hork-Bajir level their Dracon beams on the Animorphs from the edge of the quarry. The Blade ship takes them into orbit where Visser One is on the Mother ship. Turns out, Visser One is Marco's mother, thought to be long dead. Lucky for the Animorphs, Visser One hates Visser Three and vise versa. Visser One sends her soldiers to free the Animorphs and give them directions to the escape pods. Visser One doesn't want Visser Three to have the glory of capturing the 'Andalite Bandits'. The Animorphs escape the mother ship and the next day Marco and his dad visit his mother's grave. Marco's dad decides that he will start to build a proper life back up for Marco and himself instead of greaving. |
