You must wear appropriate safety equipment that is in good condition when taking part in water sports.
1. Do each of the following:
In a pool with lifeguard cover: – swim 50 metres. – stay afloat for five minutes. Show how to put on a personal buoyancy aid.
2. Do each of the following:
Know why you should shower or wash after taking part in water sports.
Know how to stop getting cold or injured when taking part in water sports.
3. Take part in at least four sessions from one of the following water sports, or a similar water activity.
Canoeing.
Rafting.
Rowing.
Sailing.
Water skiing.
Wind surfing.
4. For your chosen watersport:
show the tester what you would wear.
know the safety rules.
