FIRE AID INTERNATIONAL

Understanding the difficult nature of fire on ships and vessels is limited only to a few professional bodies througout the world, so when you find one, BOOKMARK them - you never know when you might need them. Based in the UK, but with international capabilities, Fire Aid International work closely with Lloyds and The MCA as well as many UK Agents.
THE AISLIVE.COM WEBSITE

This has got to be one of the most useful maritime websites on the internet. Here you can see EXACTLY where ships are (at this moment !) in the major shipping zones of Europe, America and partially Asia too. You have to register, but it's free. Not only radar maps showing what ships are where, but by clicking on the vessel on the screen, you get all the data about the ship - where it's heading, speed, size, type- AND ALL LIVE ! With some of the vessels you even get a photo of it. With major ports (like Rotterdam) you can see the last 5 hour history of vessel movements, condensed into a minute.
