I was one of the lucky people to go to the Swatch Boarder-X event in Laax Switzerland, I have writen a short report for all that was unable to attend :-

I arrived at my hotel in Laax late afternoon on Thursday April 8th. After a quick freshen up I went down to the welcome meeting at 18.30hrs. Here I meet Ricardo and Marta from Portugal, after some snacks and drinks we received our welcome pack, this included the Beat Access "KORKSCREW"

this was loaded with passes for all of the ski & snowboard ares,

we was also given a pass for the Friday and Saturday evening concerts on top of the mountain, this was all inside a "Swatch Boarder-X Backpack".

Around about 20.00hrs. we where bussed up to a bar for a typical Swiss fondue party, here I meet with an email friend from Austria "Valter" we all had a very good time before making our way back to our hotels for a good nights sleep. On Friday Marta, Ricardo, Valter, myself and two guests from Germany had snowboard lessons, this was FUN very difficult but FUN.

Late afternoon it was back to the hotel for a quick freshen up, then back up to the top of the mountain for dinner and the open air concert.

There was also two disco's that we could go to this was a chance to get warm, or you could walk across the snow to the Ti-Pi area for a quiter time with a chance for some Swatch talk over a nice Ti-Pi coffee (I think this was 95% alcohol) it was about 01.15hrs before we made our way back to the hotel.
