| Where have Uli and Bettina been lately? January 2008 Business conference in Las Vegas. Always a good excuse to rent a Harley and ride through Nevada (Lake Mead and Red Rock Canyon) and Arizona (Hoover Dam). That was fun! Also enjoyed connecting with many friends and colleagues. New Hotel (Palazzo) was great. Just never enough sleep in Vegas... June/July 2007 We have made an incredible trip across the USA and Canada. 10,500 miles (17.000 km) by car. Interested to know more about our adventures? Read our blog: BIG TRIP. March 207 International Study Tour with my St. Joe's cohort to Paris and Athens. And a few days in Berlin and Halle. December 2006 Sailing on Ocean Dreams in Belize. The second largest Barrier reef in the world offers stunning diving and snorkeling, rain and sun. And "Ocean Dreams" ewas the perfect place to celebrate our fifth anniversary together with Linda and Kit. March 2006 We finally had enough of the cold weather and went to Miami Beach. We are enjoying the sun and the sea and the crazy place which it is during spring break. November 2005 I didn't know that Bahama Islands can be lonely -? after,eight warm and sunny days with Linda and Kit on Eleuthera i know better: Pink sandy beaches, crystal clear water, lots of shooting stars, furious beach bonfires, good beer and rum, no tourists and no cell phone reception. August 2005 Explored London, which we enjoyed very much, met with our wedding witnesses Liz and Derek, flew to Glasgow and traveled all over Scotland: Edinbourgh, the Highlands, Isle of Skye. Visited Iain in Invergordon. Fascinating scenery, great nature and lots of sheep...nature pure! Bed and Breakfast in Skye was nice. Barely made it to the last petrol station on the island... February 2005 Las Vegas, Orlando, NYC-Gates (Christo) January 2005 Sailing around the Caribbean Island of Antigua. That was sooo good. No pictures though - We forgot the camera in the car in Philadelphia... Where have Uli and Bettina been in 2004? Orlando, FL , Las Vegas, Grand Canyon, Zion Nat'l Park Italy: Rome, Tuscany (Firenze, Pisa, Siena,...) And as always: Detroit, Chicago, Peoria, Walldorf ... and in 2003: Christmas in the sun: Playa del Carmen, Mexico. April sailing the Caribbean Islands of St. Martin, Anguilla and St. Barth. February: Florida - Miami Beach, Everglades National Park ... and in 2002: California (Joshua Tree National Park, Palms Springs, Huntington Beach and L.A.), South Carolina (Charleston), Georgia (Savannah), British Virgin Islands and US Virgin Islands, Rhode Island (Newport), Boston. And of course the usual weekend-trips to New York City and the Jersey shore. |
