The band attended their sixth parade of the season in East Belfast with still no uniforms, the host band the Protestant Boys f.b. had an excellent turn out of bands with over 40 in total attending. The band had a few members more than the previous night in Lisburn and played very well it was the first time this year that we ahd a full drum corp out on parade we would like to thank EBPB for the drum that they lent us for the night it was the best i have heard the drum corp in a long time and hopefully that will be the form from now on. |
I cant really say to much about the fluters as no matter how many we have out it always nearly sounds the same and that is very good. The colour party were again very well turned out and as the Mossley Cowboy says they dont get the justice they deserve {i cant wait for these uniforms to come}. The bass drummers were excellent with both drummers giving it the message the whole way around the route and as usual the cymbal players smashing away to the heartache of the bass drummers who cant hear a thing. |
The parade is quite a long route but very worth while as there was crowds almost the whole route which keeps the band going and gets you round. On the Newtownards Road the band came to the Belvoir Bar to get a good reception from the crowd who had gathered there to watch the parade. The band came away with 2nd B&T bass drummer. We woud like to thank EBPB for running such a well run and organised parade and hope to see them in Carrickfergus for our annual parade.
