LOL not in Carrick.
The band before setting off.
The band attended their third parade of the year in their home town of Carrick, the host band King William's True Blues didn't get as many bands as they had got last year they only got around 14 bands which was poor to see and there was lack of public out to see the parade which is unusual for Carrick but anyway, our band started of at Carrick Rangers Social Club and marched round to the starting point the band was playing really well as we would do in our home town. We made our way into the town centre area to see more police than spectators which i think personally is a joke, what did the police think was going on did they think there was going to be Republicans protesting in the town or was there going to be trouble i think had there been more of a crowd to watch the parade the presence of the police would have caused trouble but thats my view.
We got into high street at the judges and played a blinder i would say the best so far this year you could see the reaction on peoples faces and that they were saying they are going to clean up, 'maybe they should have been judging and we might have won something'. Once we got past the town centre that was the end of the crowd there was a few familys scattered here and there which was good to see they made the effort we then got to the finish point and finnished of playing half of Northern Lights as the bass drum skin went threw we got a good reception there aswell we then played the National Anthem and fell out to a little cheer.
I would like to finish by saying i hope KWTBFB had a succesfull night and hope to see them at our parade this year as they missed last year.
