The band attended their second parade of the season in Antrim, the host band, Steeple Defenders got a good turn out of bands (21). This was our bands first parade in Antrim for several years and we enjoyed it very much. The band played exceptionally well but didn't look the best as we still havent recieved our uniform yet. We tried out some of our other new tunes that we hadn't played the previous parade we attended and we played them very well. The flute corp was superb as usuall and the bass and side drummers played well also although we still need to get our drums tuned up.
There was a very good turnout from the public to watch this parade which was good to see the people of Antrim and possibly further afield supporting Steeple Defenders so hopefully we will see Steeple Defenders in Carrick in the not to distant future for our contest in September.
