Teufel's brother disappeared nearly seven years ago when he went to bond with a Guardian spirit. By all accounts something went horribly wrong and he fled those who had come to watch his bonding. Teufel spends a small fortune looking for his brother annually, however no traces have ever turned up.
With his brother gone and possibly lost forever Teufel's fortune was merged with that of hos brother in his family's corperation. With it came all the hidden connections, influence, and power of being in such a well established family.
It was shortly after his brother's disappearance that Teufel bonded with his own Guardian spirit. His bonding was strange in that afterward he could transform into a giant pheonix much like his spirit, no one as yet can explain this. This drove him to take up science in the study of Guardian Spirits.
Teufel learned of his parent's involvement with the Meshi when he hacked into some of his parent's hidden files. After much delibaration, information gathering, and carefull research he set up a meeting between himself and a Meshi agent using his parent's connections. Making sure to explain his situation honestly and carefully in the message, knowing that such a organization would have no use for him if they belived him some rich arrogant hot shot looking for a cheap thrill.
The meeting between himself and the Meshi memeber went very well. In return for helping fund and build the Meshi's new order, handling politicians and business men, being a recuiter for their ranks, and a number of other things he would be in the know, have a nice place in the Meshi's new world order, more connections, help in the search for his brother, and a nice position that would allow him to move around conduct his research. He's been a member of the Meshi for nearly four years now and, unknown to himself, has earned the notice of his superiors.
Special Ability: When he was younger Teufel could grow talons and grow wings from his back. After bonding with Phoenos he found that he was able to grow feathers, talons, a beak, and even transform from human into a near duplicate of Phoenos. He can mix and match his human and avian body and characteristics. Becoming humanoid were bird to something resembling a harpy. He becomes stronger when partially or fully transformed.
Summon Command: 'Rising Flame, you are needed again!' Teufel raises his hand over his head, streams of fire and ash flying around him as it merges into a glowing ball. he then crushes the ball and throws it to the ground before him. The ground liquifies and burns, Phenos erupting from the molten pool with a peircing cry. Sometimes shrinking into a falcon sized bird that lands on Teufel's shoulder.
When fully mastered only fire circles around him as he raises his hand up into the air. He does not crush the ball but lets the circling fire envelop him in a firey inferno. Phoenos' wings burst from the fire, disolving the inferno. Phoenos, now easily five times larger then before, is mounted by Tuefel who has been transformed into a harpy or were-bird.
Guardian Spirit Name: Phoenos the Pheonix
Guardian Spirit Powers: 'From flesh to ash once more, life to you we restore!' - Any one person recently dead within thirty minutes is once more embewed with life. Phoenos' body erupts into lame and the great bird settles on the body like a egg. The skin of the person under becomes horribly burned, turning to ash in a few moments. Phoenos' feathers slowly go out and then she gets up and gives the person a solid tap on the forhead. Her sharp beak leaves a small nick which bleeds. Normally the person wakes up then, the charred ash breaking and falling away, revealing new skin and living flesh beneath. Often this is without clothes as the bird's fires normally burn them away.
Since this is imperfect Phoenos and Teufel only have the power to reincarnate one person a day. When mastered the two will be able to reincarnate as many people a day as they wish.
IMPORTANT: This does not mean that the formerly dead person can still summon their 'current' Guardian Spirit. As they would of lost their link with that spirit with their death and it would of returned to the pool where they originally bonded with it.
If the wounds are minor or moderate to either spirit or summoner Tuefel merely has to pluck one or two of Phoenos' feathers and lay them on the wound. The feathers bursting to flame a few seconds later and heal the wound with no scarring. However the person being healed does feel like they are being burned badly and clothes can be casught on fire by this.
'Spirit born, from this mortal you were torn, from this soul, you were shorn. But spirit do not morn, to this one you are reborn.' - Teufel plucks one of his own feathers, one of Phoenos', a couple of strands of hair from the person that lost their spirit, and lets the Pheonix take them. Once more bursting into flames Phenos takes flight and plunges into the pool that the spirits bond with people in. Sometime later Phenos leaves the pool in a furey burst with the lost spirit, now rebound to it's master.
Because this is not perfected the spirit returns to the person like it has been newly bound to that person, and must once more be mastered from scratch.
When perfected the spirit returns at the level of mastery and power it was lost at.
Also by saying this, whether mastered or not, and dumping the ashes of his own feather into the pool he can reincarnate and rebond Phoenos to him at exactly as the great Pheonix left him.
Guardian Spirit Appearance: Phoenos normally stands a little taller then Teufel. She appeares to be the perfect example of a Japanese Pheonix. A very beautiful creature Phoenos is covered in deep red feathers, fading to a red pink on her breast. On her wings the red edge of her wings quickly brighten to orange and then bright yellow. Long hair like feathers intermingle with beautiful peacock like feathers on her long graceful tail.
