Strengths: Loyal to those whom he thinks deserve it, very powerful in magic and the martial arts because of his stay in the wild lands. Weaknesses: Will fight fiercely for his friends and would even kill himself in doing so. Sometimes, during a fight, may go after the enemy at his own risk. His weapons are less technologically advanced. Appearance: Even though he lives in the woods, Hai Shen has somehow managed to keep his clothes neat and tidy, almost as if he were a “mama’s boy” if you will. He usually wears his hood down in order to prevent others from remembering his face, but at times, he has it down. His face is therefore pale in complexion, as is the rest of his body. His yellow eyes turn a dazzling emerald when he is under the sea and the blue gem on his forehead glows whenever he is casting some sort of spell or exerting some sort of energy. Personality: One of the main reasons why Hai Shen is a Neutral is that he has a natural distrust of people until he views them from an objective standpoint. Hence he likes Orron better than the rest of the Guntai because of he has seen how she acts both in public and in private. He is often very calm and quiet, although he would risk his life for any cause that he fiercely believes in. Though he is quite knowledgable, Hai Shen never reveals it to anyone in part because no one has ever seen him before and also because when people do see him, he is shrouded in a magical mist which he created. History: No one knows how Hai Shen came to be. All that is known is that one day, the Sea Dragon King had a son whom he named Shui Shen – “Water God.” As time went on, Shui Shen was sent to Kouya to see if he would bond with a Guardian. Surprisingly, when Shen went into the pool, he could not bond with any of the spirits and came out quite dejected. That night, Shen had a dream. No one knows what the dream was, but the rumor is that the very day Shen went into the pool of Guardians, his father died. Therefore, when Shen was sleeping, his father came to visit him in his dreams and gave him his powers and magical abilities. No matter what the rumors are, to this day, no one knows how Shen came to be or even got his powers, and Shen prefers to keep it that way, telling only when he would have to (ie. If he had a really close friend, which he doesn’t, though Orron might be a good start). Special Ability: Shen’s special abilities obviously stem from his unknown connection with the late-Sea Dragon King. He has control over the seas and any form of water, such as ice or water vapor, which he uses quite often when he doesn’t want to be seen. His other ability is his martial arts ability, especially with the sword. His special sword, surprisingly isn’t a water-based, but actually wind based. When swung and used properly, the sword emits a blast of wind which, depending on the strength of the blast, may or may not rip a tree from its roots. His martial arts abilities allow him to dodge most projectiles if not use a substantial amount of energy trying to deflect it, jump quite high, hide in the shadows, and be the ideal spy because of his quietness and indectability. Guardian/Summon Command/Guardian Ability: Shen is unusual in the fact that he doesn’t have a Guardian Spirit, but what he lacks in that aspect, he makes up in his martial arts and water elemental skills.
