"I accept. I have to admit that what you said the other day intrigued me." Damien said as he went with Hai. "By the way, my name is Damien. My spirit's name is Feenill, and you are wrong about my relationship with him, we just both enjoy fighting. That is why I talk the way I do about power and such."
Hai chuckled as he swiftly walked into the forest surrounding the school. "In here," He motioned over to Damien, "the trees will hide us from view over here." He paused a bit, waiting for the young man to enter the before slipping in himself. "Hello Damien, my name is Hai and I have no guardian spirit with me." He halted, scanning the area around him. Something was amiss. Shrugging, Hai summoned the mist to settle down around them, hiding them from view again. "I guess I owe you an apology. You see, I did not realize your guardian spirit liked fighting as much as you did. That is why I thought you only sought power for yourself. And yet, power is not everything. Tell me, why were you expelled from the school? There must be something about you which the teachers perceived as unfitting."
Lucas awoke with a sudden jolt as he heard a couple of voices below him. With a mist starting to arise Lucas relied on the branches in the tree he had been sleeping in. He glanced down to see nothing but the mist that was rising. He glanced upward and started climbing the branches.

Medea pulled out a notebook and started scribbling down the notes he started to put on the board.

Damien cleared his throat and began to explain. He started by saying "You may need to keep this mist up awhile." Then he went into a long list of behavioral problems of his during his time at the Guntai. A shorter version of what he said was "I was picked on a lot due to my background and had to defend myself a lot. My only behavioral problems were I got into fights with snobs whose parents could afford to pay the school for misbehavior where as I could not." He finished with a few tears in his eyes showing that he truly did want to be a Guntai but he quickly wiped them away and regained his outwardly tough visage.
Hai nodded silently. Though in his heart he understood Damien’s pain, Hai did not shed tears outwardly. He shed them inside and made no move to embrace the teenager. Instead, Hai removed his hood and raised Damien’s eyes to meet his own. Yellow eyes met black ones. “Damien, I know this will be hard for you, but in the event that you are accepted back into the Guntai, hold your anger in. Yes, though they may be able to bribe the school, sometimes, passive resistance is better. Instead of lashing out at them, subtly get your revenge. When you are accepted into the school again, and I will try my best to help you, lead them to the pool in the center of the garden.” Hai grinned, seeing the look of surprise on Damien’s face. “Yes, there is a pool now. Lead them to that pool, and you might find a surprise for them there that will not get you into trouble. Your other option would be to talk to Miss Lunetta herself. Who knows? Her mind is not as closed as you think.” With that, Hai released Damien’s face, bowed his head, and concentrated. A blue light appeared between his hands. When the light disappeared, a blue stone lay in Hai’s hands. Hai gave it to Damien. He said, “These are the tears I shed for you. Keep it with you always. When you need help, simply call out to me with the stone and I will answer in more ways than one. I am sorry, but I must leave now. Goodbye, and take care of yourself. If I am successful, I will contact you through the stone.” Hai stepped back and the mist swirled around him. When the mist disappeared, the King of the seas was gone.
Back in the school garden, a thin mist appeared and disappeared as quickly as it came, leaving only Hai, his hood back on. Hai retrieved the letter he had left there and, sitting down on the edge of the pool, he closed his eyes and began his daily meditations. There were some things in this world that needed sorting, and he knew that he could only find answers from Miss Lunetta or this Mr. Kouki character she had referred to. Hai waited, his senses alert for even the slightest distraction.
Damien gripped the stone tightly in his right hand. "I will do as you ask with this, though I don't understand entirely." He said after Hai had left. He then left the school grounds and began to think of how Hai could actually help him. And how Miss Lunetta would be able to get him back into the Guntai even she wanted to.

"How did the class behave while I was gone? I trust there were no problems," Orron said casually, ignoring the child's obvious fright as she started to file some papers away, not looking to Fiona while she cleaned up her desk after the last class. She grabbed her sunglasses from the corner of her desk and stuck them in her hair, pushing back her silver bangs.

Laveda sat down in her next class, listening to the instructions.. another test on the basic instructions of summoning a guardian spirit. Well, she thought as she began to work, at least this one was easier.

Vashti arrived at the school she was told to head to, stepping out in time to see the last bit of students heading off to their classes. She brushed some hair over her shoulder with a sigh, as both she and her manager headed inside to go visit with the principal.

Akiko worked on her current art project, chatting with a few friends. One was rambling about her older brother just joining the Guntai school and teaching her an easier way to summon. Ko rolled her eyes, as Janine turned to her.
"What? You don't think guardian spirits are cool?"
"No. I think they cause problems," Ko replied.
"And what exactly do you mean by that?"
"Pay attention in history sometime, and you'd understand," Akiko gave a knowing smile to her friend, ending the short-winded argument as she got back to work.

"Of course there were no problems, Ms. Lunetta," said the young girl quickly, fidgeting slightly. For a brief second, Fiona wondered why she, the youngest person in the class, was put in charge in the first place.
Orron arched an eye brow and looked at the girl for a few moments before nodding, "Very well then, you may go to your next class. Thank you for watching them, Fiona."
"Yes, Ms. Lunetta," said Fiona quietly, with a slight curtsy, as she quickly headed towards the door. Fearful that she would be late for her next class, Fiona clutched tightly to her things, nearly tripping.
"Fiona," Orron said, stopping the girl. "If you're late for your next class, just tell them I had to speak with you, all right?"
The girl stopped dead in her tracks and turned quickly, curtsying again. "Yes, Ms. Lunetta. Thank you," said the young girl with a very faint smile. She curtsied again, and ran out the door, praying she wouldn't be late to her next class.
