Full name:Orlando Bloom
Came into this world: January 13 1977
Hometown: Kent, England {go U.K!}

Orlando became interested in acting when he realised that superman was an actor, you can see the films Orli has been in in filmography.

Orlando's father, Harry Bloom, was a novelist and died when Orli was just four; Orlando was then brought up by his Mother and sister,Samantha, who is two years older than him.
When growing up in Canterbury, his Mother taught him and his sister to enjoy the arts and encouraged them to join a drama club. At the age of sixteen, Orli moved away from Kent to London to act with the national youth theatre, he was casted into his first film at twenty, the film was called Wilde.
In 1998, Orlando suffered a bad accident, he was climbing onto a friends rooftop terrace when he fell three stories and broke his back, doctors told him he wouldn't be able to walk again, but he walked out of hostpital 12 days later, He said in his own words
"They didn't think I would walk again, and twelve days later, I walked out of hostpital on crutches. My back is a consistant reminder of how lucky I am" Orlando describes himself as being accident-prone and has broken his nose, both legs, an arm, a wrist,a rib, a finger, a toe and has cracked his skull three times. As a teen, Orli tried reading The lord of the rings trilogy but disreagarded them for more exciting things, he didn't complete the books until his early twenties when he was given good reason to pick up the books again, in 1999 at the age of 22 when he had 3 days left at drama school, Orlando was chosen to play Legolas in Lord of the rings, he had originally set out to play Faramir, Boromirs younger brother but was much more suited for the elf warrior, he says "Legolas's moves are smooth an ellegant, like a cat. You know how cat's jump and land steadily on their paws? Thats what I'm trying to do. Theres a strength in that, but it's very balletic. It's also bloody hard to do without falling over!"
Also, while he was filming LOTR, he gave up smoking YAY, GO ORLI!
